The civet cat case was resolved, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief. When the magistrate reported the case to his superiors, he specifically sought credit for Ran Mo and Qing Sheng. The two men quickly declined, stating that it was a rare opportunity for them, and they didn't want to be seen off. They finally gave up.

Kuang calculated that time had passed and was about to leave and return home. The magistrate cordially invited them to stay for a few days and explore the town. The two, feeling attached to the place, agreed.

The town has convenient transportation and a thriving business. The streets are bustling with activity. Many people from other places come here to run small businesses, run restaurants, and do bricklaying, filling the town's population and land, adding considerable life to this once desolate town.

A large farmers' market was bustling with people and abundant produce. Freshly slaughtered beef and mutton were sold daily. Whole, peeled cow hides were spread out on the ground, along with large cow heads, a scene of blood and filth. Customers, accustomed to the sight, simply chose the vendor with the freshest and most delicious meat.

Various food stalls also appeared. Mutton offal soup, spicy skewers, tofu pudding... some familiar, some new. Qingsheng saw the rare spicy skewers for the first time.

Various meat and vegetable snacks were soaked in a copper pot, covered with a lid like treasures. The bamboo skewers sticking out looked like upturned goose feathers. The flavor was refreshing and tempting.

A popular delicacy during this season is liangpi (cold noodles). Although not as luxurious as the fragrant lamb skewers or the fragrant and glossy fried pork noodles, it is a favorite among diners due to its good quality and low price.

Based on the traditional cold noodles and jelly, we have also developed rolled noodles and beef tendon noodles. They are yellow, soft and chewy, and paired with the prepared sauce and mashed garlic, they are sour, spicy, fresh and very appetizing.

There's a small street vendor selling sesame seed cakes. They're freshly baked in a large iron oven, the dough topped with sesame seeds. Once cooked, they're piled onto a large plate, resembling tiny ingots, gleaming golden and fragrant. Peeling back the layers of crust and savoring them slowly, they're a truly down-to-earth delicacy.

Previously, we'd only eaten steamed buns or naan, but sesame cakes have become a staple food. However, eating too much is not recommended. Ranmo was trying to catch up on his studies, so he'd buy a few sesame cakes for lunch instead of going home. While they were satisfying, they were a bit too filling without vegetables, which caused a sore throat and left him with blisters.

The young man selling sesame cakes is very handsome, with a fair face, handsome eyebrows and eyes, and slightly curly hair that is handsome and stylish. He doesn't look like a local handsome guy, but he is three points better.

Ranmo recalled the first time she saw and tasted sesame cakes, it was also a handsome guy selling them. She would sneak glances at him every time she passed by, but unfortunately, apart from saying "buy sesame cakes", she was too embarrassed to talk to him.

Once, she saw him coming out of a hutong toilet. He was wearing a yellow jacket and looked very handsome. So he lived in this area. She wondered what his place was like. If they knew each other, she could visit him.

She couldn't make friends at school, so it would be nice to have a friend like this, simple, amiable, and self-reliant. She was still a student, how could he dislike her? She thought about it, but she could only watch from afar, like a sesame seed cake.

The sesame cake boy in front of him actually looked a bit like the handsome cake seller he had seen that time. Ran Mo stared at the sesame cake boy in a daze, like a crazy fan.

Qingsheng saw this from the side. He thought she was looking at Shaobing, but when he followed her line of sight, he saw her face was actually the young man's.

Qingsheng couldn't help but take a few more glances. Then, a wave of jealousy washed over him. "Wow, you're so brazen about looking at a handsome guy right in front of your bastard. Don't you think you're taking me seriously?" He even considered tearing down the pancake stand.

Freshly baked delicious pancakes brought Ranmo back to reality. The boy handed them to them enthusiastically, saying they were more delicious when they were hot. Ranmo thought to himself, "Since you bake them, they are always delicious."

Before the pancake even reached her mouth, Qingsheng grabbed her and turned away. Ranmo's lips almost burned, so she scolded him. Qingsheng looked at her mouth and said, "If it's burned, can I blow it for you? Or lick it."

Ran Mo stuck out her tongue at him and quickly went to eat the sesame cake while it was still hot. The two of them ate while walking around, thoroughly enjoying this kind of everyday life.

After two days of eating, drinking, and strolling around, they both felt like they'd gained two pounds. Just as they were about to leave, the magistrate told them, somewhat mysteriously, "Don't worry. There's a breathtakingly beautiful spot a dozen miles southeast of the town, and it would be a shame not to visit it. He's already arranged a carriage, just waiting for you two to go."

When they heard it was a tourist attraction, their curiosity returned. Since they were already there, it would be a shame not to explore. So, early in the morning, they took a carriage to the place.

Ranmo once immersed himself in the beauty of nature, traveling extensively. Traveling is a wondrous experience, not only allowing one to encounter many new and unique things but also allowing one to capture and experience previously forgotten moods and emotions. Whether it's warmth, vicissitudes, or sadness, it's all beautiful.

Besides enjoying the beautiful scenery, the people we met during the trip were also quite interesting. There was an elderly couple who were just as energetic as their younger counterparts when climbing. The old man was quite amusing, running around and taking photos, having a blast. He even chose a steep spot and called his wife over for a photo.

But the stubborn old lady, seemingly disinclined to have her picture taken, couldn't bear the old boy's persistent nagging, so she snapped, "Nizoukai (Go away)." While her tone was tinged with anger, it came across more like a coquettish rebuke. Everyone nearby couldn't help but giggle.

In a small town called Chuanzhusi, she learned a new place name, which is also a scenic spot with a long history of temple culture.

There was a girl sitting next to her on the bus. She must have had a story and was feeling down. I hope she can find good luck and a bit of happiness through traveling.

When they returned by bus, the girl got off at Chuanzhushen Temple and disappeared into the corner of the town under the sunset without looking back.

At that moment, Ranmo seemed to see himself in his youth. A naive young boy hurried past the adobe wall, bathed in golden sunlight...

Ranmo particularly likes places with water and loves boating. When she went to Puzhehei for a boat trip, while others were huddled together in groups of three or five on a willow-leaf boat, she happened to catch a person monopolizing an entire boat.

The boatman rowed behind her while she took in the scenery. Having grown up in dry land, she loved the feeling of boating on the lake. Although she didn't see any Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, the coolness of the water was enough to make her feel so comfortable that she couldn't leave.

Ranmo and Qingsheng had visited many scenic spots on this trip, yet they still felt they hadn't seen enough. The carriage slowly carried them along a rugged path. Strange rocks stood on either side. After exiting the stone forest, they encountered a dense forest. A stream seemed to flow through it. The driver announced that they had arrived.

Qingsheng said, "It looks ordinary." Ranmo told him not to jump to conclusions and to go down and take a look first.

Following the driver's instructions, the two of them headed for a boat tour through the forest. A small boat left the dock, slicing through the water like an arrow, and paddled forward. The further they moved, the more astonished Ran Mo became, his heart filled with wonder.

Travel, like music, has a magical and wonderful ability to help you find a place to rest or a place to dream. Ranmo used to have a certain scene flashing through his dreams and mind:

She was sitting in a small boat on a narrow and gentle river, sailing slowly. The soft branches on both sides stretched to the center of the river like an arch bridge, and they were traveling between the blue waves and the green shade.

Such a beautiful picture is hard to get out of my mind. Unfortunately, I have been to many places and have not found any scenery that matches it.

I never imagined that the scene before me would be exactly the same as what I had imagined in my dream. It was a wonderful surprise to stumble upon this place that I had been dreaming of.

To Ranmo, it is no less than those famous mountains and rivers, just as some delicious snacks are no less than a feast of delicacies from land and sea.

The two of us rode on a bamboo raft, sailing along the clear river. The cool breeze blew through the lush green branches, just as I had dreamed. I was so excited! It was such a satisfying feeling.

After paddling for a long, enjoyable time, the boat turned and sailed into a dark and deep cave. On both sides were jagged rocks, some of which emitted a faint glow. After a few dozen meters, we emerged from the cave and suddenly saw a bright and open field and a mountain village.

The boatman told them that this place was called the Hermit Village. Because of its tranquility and seclusion, many scholars and literati came here to live in seclusion. Ranmo and Qingsheng looked at each other and exclaimed, "It's amazing."

The boatman stopped at the shore and told them that they could stay there for a while, and then return the same way after taking a look around.
