Qingyun's Love: Tiger Boy Falls in Love with a Pretty Lawyer
Chapter 202 Agreement Chapter 3
The three of them entered the garden gate. They saw that it was not very big. They could see a section of the wall not far away. Looking further ahead, they saw a pavilion.
There were two people there, a young man in white with fluttering sleeves standing in the pavilion, and a beautiful woman in pink sitting on a chair leaning against the railing.
From a distance, they looked like two celestial beings. They were none other than Wu Shao and Hu Ling. Not wanting to disturb them, the three stood still for a moment before slowly moving over.
When they got closer, Hu Ling had already spotted them, so she stood up and waved to them.
The three of them walked forward, smiling, saying they were enjoying themselves here. Wu Shao smiled and said, "This garden may not look large, but it has winding paths leading to secluded places. It's a perfect place to sit and daydream."
Hu Ling asked them how they got here. Ran Mo said that Qing Sheng had good news to tell them, so he rushed here early in the morning.
Their eyes lit up when they heard this, guessing there might be news from the Wu Mansion. Qingsheng looked at them and felt that they couldn't be too optimistic, so he said that he had only heard from someone in the Mansion that Master Zhang had mediated and, through the influence of Elder Hu Ling, had softened Master Wu's attitude.
The two nodded, confirming what Master Zhang had guessed when he asked them that day. They just didn't know how much Master Wu had softened his stance and whether he would allow him to meet Hu Ling.
Qingsheng hesitated for a moment and told them that Master Wu hadn't yet said whether he wanted to meet Hu Ling, but he suggested that he might set some rules for her. He hadn't specified what they would be.
Young Master Wu was quite annoyed upon hearing this, feeling his father was insincere and trying to make things difficult for her. After some reflection, Hu Ling said she could roughly guess the nature of the restrictions Master Wu had proposed; they were probably asking her to stay away from brothels or something like that. She fully accepted this, having already made plans and preparations for it.
Several people breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this. Ran Mo suggested that they go to the mansion today to take a look, while Master Zhang is still here these days, so that they can ask him for help if anything happens.
Everyone agreed. They immediately left the pavilion, exited the garden, and headed for the Wu residence. The five-member team looked quite impressive, quite the presence of someone heading out for negotiations.
When they reached the gate, Wu Shao and Qing Sheng were present, so they went in without being told to leave. However, the sharp-eyed servant noticed Hu Ling among them and was about to stop them, but Wu Shao glared at him and frightened him so much that he quickly retreated to the side. He was just a servant, so why would he care about other people's family affairs?
Just as they were wondering if Master Zhang was still at the mansion, they saw Master Wu stroll out of the hall, his eyes sternly scanning them.
They were all juniors, and even if they were right, they still had to show the necessary etiquette, so they all bowed to Mr. Wu.
Master Wu snorted and said, "You're so smart to come here so early in the morning. You're well-informed." As he spoke, his eyes swept around and then landed on Qingsheng. He stared at him without saying a word.
Qingsheng knew that Master Wu was angry that he had found out about the relevant information. He was the only one here who had this privilege. He felt a little embarrassed for a moment. After all, according to his family tradition, he was not allowed to secretly inquire about outside information.
But at this moment, he couldn't care less and bowed and confessed, "Uncle Wu, it was indeed me who passed on what Master Zhang said to you, Brother Weiye. I also wanted to get you and your son to talk as soon as possible. If you are angry, you can punish me, but this matter has nothing to do with them."
Master Wu pointed his finger at him and said, "Qingsheng, if it weren't for the fact that you and your father have completely different personalities, I would have beaten you and Weiye together.
You should focus more on practicing martial arts and stop worrying about trivial matters. Otherwise, I won’t be able to explain to your father in the future.”
Mr. Wu's words were quite polite. Qingsheng nodded quickly in agreement.
Mr. Wu looked at Wu Shao and Hu Ling, still unwilling to have a direct conversation with them. Instead, he turned his head to the side and looked at a warning monument standing not far away. He said in a low and majestic voice:
"This time, it's because Master Zhang is trying to mediate. I'm not a stubborn old man, so I'll give you a chance to show off."
The few people were pleasantly surprised to hear this and waited for Master Wu's next words. Master Wu glanced at Qingsheng again and said, "You may have also heard the news that I want to set three rules for you.
I'll just say it straight out. These three chapters start with the following: women entering my Wu Mansion must completely stay away from such vulgar places and receive etiquette training from teachers assigned by the mansion.
Young Master Wu and Hu Ling exchanged a glance, feeling that this was within their expectations, and silently agreed, even though Master Wu hadn't looked at them or asked for their opinions.
Mr. Wu paused before adding the second point, "I've heard that this woman is good at writing novels about love affairs. This is something that my Wu Mansion will never accept. If she enters my house, she must completely give up the idea of continuing to write novels."
Huh? Everyone was surprised to hear this. Writing novels was a crime? Hu Ling's heart tightened. For her, writing had become an indispensable part of her life, even the meaning of her life.
She would definitely not accept this. Wu Shao also understood in his heart, and shook his head with Hu Ling.
Master Wu glanced at them, said nothing more, and turned to walk towards the hall. Qing Sheng became anxious when he saw this and asked loudly, "Uncle, there is a third point that I haven't mentioned yet."
Mr. Wu paused, and without turning his head, he said, "Do I need to tell you the third point?" Then he strode into the hall.
Everyone thought about it and agreed. If they couldn't even accept the second point, how could they accept the third point? Several people looked at Wu Shao and Hu Ling with strange expressions, wondering what they were thinking.
Hu Ling looked a little dazed. Wu Shao comforted her, saying that she shouldn't take his father's words too seriously, and that maybe things would change in the future.
Hu Ling remained silent. She knew that Master Wu had already made a big concession by allowing her to enter the mansion. Discussing these restrictions with him would be even more difficult.
And she really couldn't let go of what she loved. That included writing, and Wu Shao. It was truly difficult.
