Qingyun's Love: Tiger Boy Falls in Love with a Pretty Lawyer
Chapter 172 Temporarily Taking Escape to the Suburbs
Thinking of the old man's angry attitude just now, they both stuck out their tongues. Ran Mo was curious about whether Wu Shao's father was old enough.
Qingsheng explained that Uncle Wu had a son in his old age and had doted on him since he was young. Fortunately, Wu Shao had not been spoiled and was a humble and excellent person who never got into trouble. However, he had not expected that he would bring such a big problem to his father.
After all, it is Mr. Wu's family affair, and it involves the decision of the elders. The two of them don't have any good solutions for the time being. Ran Mo's eloquence as a lawyer is probably useless, and he may not be as effective as a matchmaker.
The two were chatting casually, and Ran Mo suddenly asked where Azan had gone, as he hadn't seen him for a long time.
Qingsheng slapped his head and thought, that’s right. He had been busy these past two days and actually forgot about this little brother.
The two of them headed to Azan's place. It wasn't far away, just around the corner. When they got closer, they found the door was closed. They knocked, but no one answered.
As the two were wondering, a maid came over. Qingsheng asked her where the person who lived in the house had gone.
The maid shook her head at first, then after a moment's recollection, she said, "I saw this young master go out with Young Master Wu two days ago. I haven't seen him since."
They were stunned. They went out together? Where would they go? They could only go to Azan's house to find out.
The two of them went to Azan's house. On the way, they happened to meet Azan's mother. They hurried forward to greet her and asked if Azan was home.
Azan's mother was stunned and said that she was just about to go to Wu Shao's mansion to see how Azan was doing. Why wasn't Azan at the mansion?
The two of them were shocked when they heard this. Could it be that this Azan had eloped with those two?
They didn't dare to tell Azan's mother too much, for fear of worrying her. So they said Azan might have gone out for a walk with Wu Shao, and they were out looking for him and should be back soon.
Azan's mother heaved a sigh of relief when she heard this. Ran Mo casually asked, "Besides home, does Azan usually go to other places?"
Azan Niang frowned and thought about it, and said that there was a place she didn't go to often. That was an old house in the far suburbs of her family. Although it had been in disrepair for many years, it was well-equipped and the environment was secluded. She would occasionally go there to take care of it or stay for a while.
Their eyes lit up, and they hurriedly asked where the address was. Azan Niang told them, and said that the journey was far, and they would need to take a carriage to get there.
Then, she handed the basket to Ranmo, saying that it contained eggs she had boiled and salted duck eggs, as well as pancakes and sweet cakes. She had originally intended to send it to his house so they could taste it together. Since Azan wasn't here, they would have to take it over.
Ranmo took the basket and could smell the aroma and warmth of the food inside. He couldn't help but sigh at the deep love a mother has for her child. He hurriedly thanked Azan Niang.
After saying goodbye to Azan Niang, the two of them carried the basket and headed towards Wu Shao's house. Halfway there, Qingsheng suggested that instead of leaving the basket at Wu Shao's house, they could take it with them to the place Azan Niang mentioned. If they were lucky, they might actually run into them.
Ranmo agreed with his suggestion. The two of them rushed to the post station. There was a carriage scheduled for the outskirts, but they still had to wait half an hour. Qingsheng didn't want to wait any longer, so he found a private coachman nearby, gave him some silver, and asked him to drive them there.
The coachman was happy to take on the job, offering more money than most people and working very hard. The carriage carried the two of them to the distant suburbs.
On the way, Qingsheng suddenly felt a little hungry and quietly lifted a corner of the basket's cloth to take out a piece of bread. Ranmo slapped his palm. Qingsheng stuck out his tongue and retracted his hand.
When they reached the main street in the outer suburbs, the coachman followed the map, got off the carriage and asked, and then took them to the alley nearest to the house.
The two thanked him, and Qingsheng gave him some money as a tip, which made the coachman very happy. He even said that he could come to him if he needed anything in the future. He then looked at the carriage and reminded them not to forget to take the basket.
The two nodded. This person was quite thoughtful. Ran Mo suddenly remembered something and briefly explained it to Qing Sheng. She then asked the coachman if he could take a letter with him on his way back. The coachman said no problem.
Ranmo took out the paper and pen she had brought with her and wrote a few simple words, basically asking her mother not to worry about her. She needed to do some work in the suburbs and would tell her in detail when she returned. She also wrote down her address and name.
Then he folded it up and gave it to the driver, asking him to pass it on. He took out a few coins from his pocket as a fee for his errand. The driver refused to take it, but Ranmo let him take it anyway.
Qingsheng was impressed by Ranmo's thoughtfulness. The two said goodbye to the driver and headed to Azan's home.
Walking down the long alley, I saw a slightly open area at the end. In the middle was a small pond, flanked by several willow trees with drooping branches. Nearby were a few thatched cottages and courtyards. It was a quiet and pleasant place.
The two walked around the pond until they reached a house with a large bluestone platform at the entrance. This was the sign Azan Niang had given them. When they reached the gate, they heard no movement from inside, and the door was closed. They exchanged a glance, wondering if they had come to nothing.
Just as the two were about to knock on the door, a "Hey" voice came from behind, startling them.
When they turned around, it was Azan, looking at them with a smile.
Qingsheng said, "You kid," and then put his hands under Azan's armpits and lifted him up like a child.
Azan thrashed about and begged for mercy before Qingsheng finally let him go. Azan panted, then laughed happily again.
Qingsheng and Ranmo were relieved. They noticed that Azan's complexion and temperament were much better than before. It was as if he had returned to his former lively and healthy self.
Ran Mo signaled Qingsheng to stop making trouble and quickly asked Azan if he came here with Wu Shao?
Azan gave them a thumbs up and said, "You are amazing. You actually found this place." Then he said that he came here with Wu Shao and Hu Ling.
That day, Wu Shao came to visit him in his room and casually brought up his affairs with Hu Ling. Originally, he shouldn't have discussed these matters with a child like Azan, but he couldn't hold it in any longer, so he just started nagging him.
She also felt that he didn't understand much about children's affairs, so she casually mentioned that he wanted to move out and find a place to live alone with Hu Ling so that they wouldn't have to worry about the expressions and attitudes of others, including the elders in the family.
Azan was also a straightforward child. He did not think about whether this move was appropriate or not. Instead, he could not help but tell Wu Shao eagerly that he had an empty old house in the far suburbs that could be occupied at any time. If Wu Shao did not mind, he could stay there for a while.
Wu Shao was overjoyed when he heard this. Although it was easy for a rich young man like him to find a house, he was worried about being targeted by others. Just as he was worrying about this, Azan really wanted to sleep and threw him a pillow.
He quickly agreed, but was afraid of disturbing Azan's family. Azan said seriously that he was very grateful that Mr. Wu agreed to let him live in their house. Now it was his turn to help Mr. Wu with a small favor, and he felt very happy.
The two hit it off immediately and began quietly preparing, informing Hu Ling. He chose a time early in the morning when no one was around in the mansion, and headed out to meet Hu Ling at the post station. Then, he boarded a rented carriage and headed for Azan's villa.
After arriving here, the few of them cleaned and tidied up briefly before moving in. Azan was too lazy to leave in a hurry, so he thought it would be a good opportunity to have some quiet time here, so the three of them settled down together.
He had just gone to the market to buy some things, and Wu Shao and Hu Ling must have gone to the wilderness to hang out. It was a coincidence that he came back at this time and ran into them, so he didn't miss them.
