He walked to the other end of the bed, lit a cigarette, held it between his fingertips, took a deep breath and exhaled layers of smoke rings, "Go back to your room." He glanced at Jiang Man.

Jiang Man looked at him in confusion. He had clearly said he needed someone to take care of him, but now his attitude had changed. She didn't know whether to leave or stay, and was extremely embarrassed.

Su Heng glanced at her sideways and felt inexplicably irritated. He pinched his eyebrows, put out the cigarette, shook his hair and was about to lie down.

Jiang Man looked at him and told himself not to meddle in other people's business. But he couldn't help but went to the bathroom to get a dry towel and walked over to him, "You should dry yourself before going to bed."

Su Heng opened his eyes and looked at her, but did not respond.

Jiang Man gritted his teeth, feeling that he was really wasting his time!

Just as she was about to leave, he suddenly said, "Help me."

She was stunned for a while before she stiffly took the towel and placed it on his head, wiping him mechanically.

A barely perceptible smile appeared on the face under the towel.

The atmosphere in the whole room became a little subtle and awkward.

After Jiang Man finished wiping Su Heng, she was about to leave and go back to her room. Unexpectedly, as she stood up, her wrist was gently pulled by a force. She staggered and fell uncontrollably on Su Heng's chest.

Su Heng's eyes, as deep as the night, flickered with an elusive smile. Jiang Man looked up at him in surprise, "Is there anything else you want to say?"

"Rest." He uttered two words briefly.

Jiang Man's eyes widened as she hurriedly tried to break free from him, only to find that his arms were like iron clamps, tightly gripping her. "I'm going back to my room to rest."

Su Heng repeated again: "Rest here."

He gently flipped Jiang Man over and placed her beside him properly. Then he turned around with his back to her and said, "Don't worry, even if I drink, I know my limits and won't be rude to you at this time."

Jiang Man gritted his teeth and thought to himself: I really regret doing this!

"I have my own room!" she said unwillingly.

"Isn't it good to do our bit for environmental protection?" He responded lazily. In fact, he himself couldn't explain why he just wanted her to stay by his side and fall asleep together.

Jiang Man simply couldn't believe that Su Heng, who was usually decisive and efficient, would come up with such a lame excuse!

The breathing sounds behind him gradually became calmer, and he had fallen asleep peacefully.

Jiang Man widened his eyes in disbelief. He just fell asleep like that?

She tried to break free from his embrace, but his arms were too tight and she couldn't move at all!

The masculine scent coming from behind her reminded her of her current situation all the time. Her heart was in turmoil and her thoughts were in chaos!

Gradually, her eyelids began to twitch and finally closed.

The next morning, when Jiang Man woke up, Su Heng had disappeared.

She simply washed up, opened the door and walked out.

"Jiang Man?" A puzzled voice came from all around. Jiang Man turned her head and saw that it was her colleague who was looking at her suspiciously.

She smiled awkwardly, "Morning."

The colleague looked at her, then looked at the door number, a strange look flashed in his eyes, and he asked in a low voice: "Are you sharing a room with the president?"

Jiang Man smiled awkwardly. For this kind of thing, the more you explain, the worse it gets.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was very lively. Su Heng stood in the center of the stage, with spotlights flashing around him.

Jiang Man stood in the crowd. Because of what happened in the morning, she just wanted to be invisible.

Su Heng looked at everyone expressionlessly, and was reluctant to smile even under the spotlight. He picked up the scissors and prepared to cut the ribbon.

At this moment, there was a sudden commotion in the crowd, and everyone's eyes turned to the outside of the mall gate.

Chloe walked towards him with a smile on her face, wearing a simple little dress, and stood next to Su Heng naturally.

As soon as she stood there, the media in the audience became excited.

Su Heng frowned slightly, but didn't say much.

"Excuse me, Ms. Chloe, are you here to support President Su?" the reporter in the audience asked directly.

Chloe smiled but said nothing, but her silence was undoubtedly a sign of acquiescence.

This was like a bombshell dropped on the crowd, and reporters rushed forward to ask questions.

"There are rumors that you and President Su were once a couple. Is this true?"

Chloe looked at Su Heng, then smiled slightly, still without answering. But her attitude of neither denying nor admitting made everyone present know what was going on.

Su Heng narrowed his eyes, glanced at Chloe, and remained silent.

Jiang Man couldn't help but sigh. The media nowadays was so powerful that they could even dig up such old stories! It seemed that the fact that his relationship with Su Heng was safe and sound must have been intentional on his part.

When Chloe saw that Su Heng did not refute her, a hint of joy surged in her heart. She lowered her eyes and a faint blush appeared on her face.

The atmosphere at the scene was extremely warm. Su Heng swept his eyes across the crowd, and then decisively cut the ribbon.

He lowered his head and spoke briefly to the mall manager before heading backstage.

"Mr. Su! Mr. Su!" The reporters present shouted towards his back.

Chloe smiled at the media and followed Su Heng to the backstage.

Jiang Man watched the protagonists exit the stage one after another, and for a moment, she herself was at a loss. After a moment's reflection, an idea struck her. She decided to turn and walk deeper into the mall to lend a hand to the staff still busy at work, hoping to add a touch of warmth to this chaotic world with her own humble contribution.

"Aheng." Chloe followed closely behind Su Heng and called softly.

"Yeah." Su Heng responded lightly, poured a cup of tea and took a sip.

"Are you surprised?" She walked to his side, held his hand, with a confident glint in her eyes.

Su Heng glanced at her and gently withdrew his hand, "Why are you here?"

"Surprised? You invited me to support you without any platform fee. Shouldn't you thank me first?" she said playfully.

He turned his head and asked, "Do I need it?"

Chloe knew his temper well, and couldn't help but smile, saying meaningfully: "It was just the reporters who said that, don't mind it."

"They're overthinking it." He interrupted her, glancing at her calmly. "That was just some nonsense the reporters were talking about. Don't take it to heart."

"That's all?" Chloe asked in disbelief.

So, the reason why he didn't refute in public was not because he still remembered her old feelings, but simply because he didn't want to affect the cooperation?

"Otherwise?" he responded coldly, put down his teacup, turned and walked towards the mall.

Looking at his departing back, Chloe's eyes began to become complicated and her hands clenched into fists.

Having missed it once, she will never miss it a second time.

She was determined to get this man.
