Sure enough, just after two main dishes were served, Feng Jiaojiao's two younger brothers and one younger sister came running back.

The two younger brothers were twins who looked very similar, both wearing indigo-colored robes with matching silk sashes tied around their waists. They were about ten years old. The younger sister was younger, wearing a pink ruqun and two small buns on her head. She looked about six or seven years old. The two sisters looked quite similar.

The three of them were very polite. When they saw Jing Chunxi, they bowed before Feng Jiaojiao introduced him. It must be said that this county governor had excellent upbringing.

"This is Sister Jing from the capital. You must entertain this distinguished guest well." Feng Jiaojiao introduced gently. She was wearing a lavender skirt today, with only a white magnolia hairpin in her hair. Her every move showed the demeanor of a lady from a noble family.

"Hello, Sister Jing!" The twins saluted in unison, their voices clear and pleasant.

"My name is Feng Mingming."

"I'm Feng Langlang."

The two of them introduced themselves one after another. If Feng Mingming had not had a small mole on the corner of his left eye, Jing Chunxi would have hardly been able to tell who was who.

The youngest sister also bowed politely, but when she looked up, she couldn't help but look at Jing Chunxi curiously: "Sister Jing is so beautiful! Even more beautiful than the fairies in the paintings!"

"This is Yaer." Feng Jiaojiao introduced softly with a doting smile in her eyes.

Feng Yaya stuck out her tongue, but couldn't help but move closer to Jing Chunxi: "Sister, are you from the capital? Are there a lot of fun and delicious things in the capital?"

"Ya'er, don't be rude." Feng Jiaojiao patted her sister's shoulder and turned to Jing Chunxi with an apologetic smile. "My little sister is young and doesn't know the rules. Please don't blame me, Chunxi."

Jing Chunxi smiled and shook his head. "It's okay. Ya'er is innocent and cute, I like her very much." Then he said to Yaya, "The capital is very big and crowded. It looks prosperous, but when it comes to fun and delicious food, I think Lingnan and Jiangnan are better."

"Is that so?" The little girl was a little disappointed, then straightened herself up.

As they were talking, the waiters filed in with dishes. The first dish to arrive was a golden tea oil chicken, with shiny skin and a rich tea oil aroma. It was adorned with a few green tea leaves, making it very appetizing.

"This is our most famous tea oil chicken in Sihui," Feng Jiaojiao elegantly introduced to Jing Chunxi. "We use local free-range chickens and slow-fry them in high-quality tea oil. The fragrance of the tea permeates every texture of the chicken. It's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, not greasy at all."

Before Jing Chunxi even touched her chopsticks, she caught a whiff of the alluring aroma of tea and meat. Carefully, she took a piece of chicken and placed it in her mouth. Her eyes immediately lit up—the skin was crispy, the inside tender and juicy. The fragrance of tea oil perfectly balanced the greasiness of the meat, leaving a hint of sweetness in the aftertaste.

"Is it delicious?" Feng Yaya lay on the table, looking at Jing Chunxi eagerly.

"It's so delicious!" Jing Chunxi exclaimed sincerely.

"There are even better ones!" Feng Yaya said proudly, "We have so many delicious foods in Zhaoqing Prefecture! The ones in Sihui are especially delicious. We often come here when we are hungry."

Feng Jiaojiao explained, "Zhaoqing Prefecture is in Duanzhou, only about twenty miles away from Sihui." Jing Chunxi nodded in understanding. She was just wondering why Feng Jiaojiao ended up in this small county town. It turned out that the food here was delicious.

As we were talking, the second dish arrived—braised pork with ground beans. The pork belly was cut into even cubes and stewed with plump ground beans. The sauce was thick and bright red, and the meat chunks were trembling, showing that it was tender and flavorful.

"This is the specialty of this restaurant," Feng Jiaojiao introduced. "The ground beans have absorbed the essence of the gravy and are even more delicious than the meat. Try it." As she spoke, she picked up the long-handled spoon from the plate and scooped a spoonful of ground beans at Jing Chunxi.

Feng Jiaojiao drove both maids to the private room next door, so the siblings could enjoy themselves freely without having to worry about trivial matters.

Just as Jing Chunxi was about to taste the food, he saw his twin brothers eagerly reaching for their chopsticks. Feng Mingming, quick to act, scooped up a large piece of meat and stuffed it into his mouth, gasping for air from the heat but unwilling to spit it out. Not to be outdone, Feng Langlang scooped a spoonful of ground beans and poured them, soup and beans included, into his bowl.

"You two!" Feng Jiaojiao frowned, but her eyes were filled with helplessness. "How can you be so disrespectful in front of guests?"

The twins then realized their mistake and quickly put down their chopsticks and sat properly, but they couldn't help but glance at the roast pork with ground beans in their bowls.

Jing Chunxi couldn't help laughing: "It's okay, it's human nature to be unable to control oneself when seeing delicious food. My brother is much greedier than you."

After hearing this, the two brothers laughed and picked up their chopsticks again, eating properly. Feng Jiaojiao was very considerate and gave each of her brothers and sisters a piece of meat, which made them very happy.

Jing Chunxi picked up a piece of meat and tasted it. It melted in his mouth, fat but not greasy. The ground beans had absorbed the meat juice, and were soft, sweet and even better than the meat.

Next up was a dish of Jianggu Wofen (rice noodles). The snow-white rice noodles were soaked in amber broth, topped with a few slices of fish fillet as thin as a cicada's wing and emerald green Chinese cabbage, looking refreshing and pleasant.

"This is rice noodles made with glutinous rice, a specialty of Sihui," Feng Jiaojiao explained as she filled a small bowl for Jing Chunxi. "The soup base is made with broth from river fish. It's fresh and not fishy."

Jing Chunxi took a sip of the soup and immediately felt a sweetness spreading from the tip of his tongue to his throat. The rice noodles were smooth and refreshing, and the fish fillets melted in his mouth, and his whole body warmed up.

"Sister Jing, try this!" Feng Yaya suddenly pointed at the wontons that had just been served, her face full of anticipation. "I love the wontons here the most! The ones made by the maids in the mansion are not as delicious as this."

The skin of the wonton is as thin as paper, and the pink shrimp filling inside can be vaguely seen, floating in the clear soup, sprinkled with some chopped green onions and sesame seeds, and the aroma is fragrant.

Jing Chunxi carefully scooped up a wonton and gently bit through the skin. The delicious soup immediately filled his mouth. The shrimp was chewy and sweet, forming a wonderful taste contrast with the soft and flexible thin skin.

"Is it delicious?" Feng Ya asked with sparkling eyes.

"It's so delicious!" Jing Chunxi exclaimed sincerely, "I've never eaten wontons so delicious."

Feng Jiaojiao: "I think they're on par with Jiangmen wontons. They're more fragrant, and the meat in Jiangmen is more bouncy."

Jing Chunxi ate another one and nodded in agreement: "Indeed, they are all delicious."

Feng Yaya clapped her hands happily: "I knew Sister Jing would like it!" But she lowered her head and ate two, then raised her head and said, "It's a pity that I can't eat it anymore."

Feng Jiaojiao immediately rolled her eyes at her: "Who said that? When we go back tonight, I'll ask Dad to find a local cook to take us to the capital."

This made the three little ones clap their hands and say yes repeatedly. The atmosphere became lively again.

The following dishes such as Baisha bamboo shoots, Dasha river seafood, Wudu stone snails, and mountain pit fish were served one after another, and each one opened Jing Chunxi's eyes.

Baisha bamboo shoots are as white as jade, crisp and tender; Dashaha river fish are cooked with local river fish, the fish meat is tender and boneless, with a faint sweetness; Wudu stone snails have firm meat and are stir-fried with perilla and chili peppers, which is fresh, fragrant and spicy; Shankeng fish are small fish from the stream that are fried until golden and crispy, and even the bones are edible, which is crispy and delicious.

The twin brothers' instincts were completely unleashed in the presence of delicious food, and Feng Mingming and Feng Langlang nearly came to blows over the last piece of goose glutinous rice dumpling. The rice dumpling had a soft, glutinous crust and a sweet sesame and peanut filling, soaked in rich goose broth, giving it the flavor of soup with the satisfying texture of a dessert.

"You two!" Feng Jiaojiao finally couldn't help it and tapped the backs of their hands with her chopsticks. "If you keep fighting like this, I won't let you pack up later."

The twins withdrew their hands in disappointment, but their eyes were still fixed on the round rice cake.

Feng Jiaojiao sighed and elegantly divided the Yuanzaizi into two halves, placing them in her brothers' bowls. "You have to learn to share, okay?"

"Thank you, sister!" they said in unison and immediately buried their heads in eating.
