Genshin Impact: The Road to Reversal

Chapter 222: Tide Chapter (8)

After the workshop's external defenses were breached, the internal defenses quickly collapsed under Karen's control.

A moment later, Luo Hao and his men arrived as promised. The troops surrounded the factory and began a thorough search.

Half an hour later, the searching sergeant came to Luo Hao.

"Reporting to the military advisor, we have found a large number of pills in this factory. After inspection, we can confirm that they are all Dream-Eroding Pills. It is estimated that the poison here, plus those previously seized in the city, totals 237 tons."

"So many?" Karin asked in surprise.

Luo Hao nodded. "First, have these drug dealers locked up. Then, have the remaining personnel take all the Dream-Eroding Pills in the factory and those that have been seized so far and move them to an open area. Also, no one is allowed to take these pills without permission. Anyone who disobeys this order will be executed!"

"Yes, my lord!"

The soldiers quickly followed Luo Hao's orders and quickly imprisoned the drug dealers. Another team of soldiers carefully moved all the Dream-Eroding Pills to a pre-prepared destruction site by the sea. The piles of Dream-Eroding Pills piled up like small mountains, emitting an unsettling aura that was nauseating to look at.

At this moment, Luo Hao stood on a high slope by the sea, the sea breeze whistling across his face. He looked at the pile of evil things, his eyes cold and determined. At this time, Kami walked over to him with a torch.

"Teacher, everything is ready." She said calmly.

Luo Hao nodded and said, "Well, let's get started. Remember, nothing should be left out."

After receiving the order, Kimi quickly walked to the edge of the destruction site. Holding the torch high, she shouted, "Begin the destruction!"

As she finished her words, the soldiers threw their torches towards the piles of Dream-Erosion Pills. Flames instantly erupted, orange-red flames greedily devouring the evil pills. The flames whirred in the sea breeze, like the painful roar of a demon.

The Dream-Eroding Pills began to melt and deform under the flames, emitting a pungent odor. That odor, mixed with the salty smell of the sea breeze, permeated the entire burning area, forcing many soldiers to cover their mouths and noses. But none of them retreated, each holding their ground until they were certain the Dream-Eroding Pills were completely consumed in the flames.

boom!

Suddenly, a loud noise was heard from the distant ocean. For a moment, Kailin and the others seemed a little panicked.

"What's going on? What happened?"

At this moment, Luo Hao looked into the distance calmly and muttered to himself, "Is he really here?"

"What's coming?" Kailin turned around and asked.

"The Sanu people, and the armies of other neighboring sea countries." Luo Hao replied calmly.

"What? Then why are we still staying here? Let's go out to sea to meet the enemy!" Karen said anxiously.

Seeing Kailin's anxious look, Luo Hao smiled calmly and said, "Don't worry, Lu Xi and Lei Ming are already there."

Kailin was stunned when she heard this: "Is that so? But can they do it alone? Do you need help?"

Luo Hao shook his head: "Naval warfare is different from land warfare. The army still has the surging sea beneath its feet. What we need to do now is to station here and eliminate all the enemies who sneak ashore."

"That's right, okay, we understand." Kailin nodded, and then she and Mo Yan, Zixuan and Zhao Heng made preparations.

In the distant ocean, blazing artillery fire roared. The fleet led by Lu Xi and Lei Ming braved the wind and waves, facing the surging flames and rushing towards the direction of the sound. Their warships rose and fell in the waves, their bows splitting the waves and splashing high white water.

Soon, the warships of both sides collided head-on, and the enemies boarded the ships one after another. For a time, the situation was tense.

There was chaos on the deck of the warship, with the sound of metal clashing and the shouts of soldiers intertwined.

Lu Xi wielded a Fang Tian Ji, its sharp blade gleaming with a chilling light in the moonlight. He swung the halberd, its blade slicing through the air with a sharp whistling sound. Each thrust pierced the enemy's armor with pinpoint accuracy, stirring up a cloud of blood. All around Lu Xi, enemy corpses lay scattered, their blood spreading across the deck and flowing through the cracks in the planks.

Lei Ming wielded his broadsword, its broad blade like the Grim Reaper's scythe. He swung it with incredible force, each blow cleaving enemy shields and sending them flying. His muscles tensed, veins bulging in his forehead, a powerful presence. The blade's trajectory through the air seemed to cleave the air, sending a whistling sound through the wind.

Beneath the warship's mast, soldiers from both sides grappled. Some, their necks tightly gripped by their opponents, their eyes bulging and their faces flushed red. Others pounded their knees into their enemies' stomachs, trying to break free. The soldiers' silhouettes grew longer and shorter in the flames, their ferocious faces occasionally illuminated by the flashes of artillery fire.

Soldiers were constantly being pushed over the side of the warship, falling into the turbulent sea. The waves devoured them mercilessly, the white water dyed pink by blood. Broken planks and broken oars floated on the surface of the sea. Some soldiers struggled in the water, their hands desperately reaching towards the sky, but they were quickly submerged by the waves.

"Everyone hold on, we must not let the enemy get close to the coast!" Lei Ming shouted.

At this moment, he and Lu Xi were back to back in the raging war. As the ships continued to be frustrated by artillery fire, their foothold gradually began to sink into the sea. This scene seemed as if they were in the struggle with the Demon Dynasty three years ago.

"I never thought this would happen again." Lu Xi smiled bitterly, "How is it, can you still bear it?"

Lei Ming snorted coldly and replied, "Don't worry, I'm not as vulnerable as you."

"Really? That's good." Lu Xi smiled, then looked at the mess in front of her again.

The warship rocked violently on the turbulent sea, its planks cracking in places, seawater pouring in through the cracks. Floating on the surrounding sea were all sorts of debris: broken masts, shattered sails, and weapons dropped by soldiers. These objects rose and fell with the waves, appearing and disappearing.

The distant sea surface was illuminated by the flames of war, and thick smoke billowed up, dyeing the sky gray and gloomy. From time to time, a shell whistled across the sky, landing in the sea and stirring up huge water columns, splashing water in the air.

The sea breeze was filled with the pungent smell of gunpowder and a faint scent of blood. The waves constantly slammed against the warships and the coast, making a dull and continuous roar, as if telling the cruelty and ruthlessness of this war.

"I have to say, this time the enemy is really aggressive. I don't know if we can return alive."

"What nonsense are you talking about? You are the head coach. If you give up, then we really have no hope." Lei Ming said.

"That's true. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said such heavy words."
