Lamia walked up to Draco, looked at his nervous yet expectant expression, and chuckled, "Draco, I'm not hungry."

Draco's face fell almost in an instant. He glared at Lamia resentfully, then lay down in the quilt.

Lamia saw that she had hurt the young master again and hurried forward. "Draco, I will visit you at your house during the summer vacation." Her words were like a shot in the arm, and Draco instantly regained his strength. "If you insist, you don't have to come."

Although Draco said this, what was clearly shown in his gray eyes was - if you dare to agree, I will get angry immediately.

Lamia burst out laughing, and suddenly thought of something, and pulled out Fox who was sleeping in his collar.

Fox was sleeping soundly when he was suddenly pulled awake, and he let out a few sharp cries of dissatisfaction.

"It's so ugly! Where did this bald chicken come from?" Draco covered his ears and looked at Fawkes in Lamia's hand with disgust.

"Draco, it's actually a phoenix." Lamia was amused by Draco's words and poked Little Fox gently.

"How could this thing be a phoenix?" Draco obviously didn't believe it. He just thought Lamia was joking.

Lamia didn't explain too much, as she knew very well that no one would believe that such a featherless bird could be a phoenix, and that she had tricked it from Dumbledore.

Fawkes obviously understood what Draco meant. He flapped his wings angrily and tried to pounce on Draco and peck him, but was blocked by Lamia.

After Lamia calmed Draco down, she walked out of the room and was met by Pansy, who was asking her all sorts of questions. "What's wrong? Is Draco okay?"

Pansy asked worriedly.

"It's okay, he just fell asleep." Lamia lied casually. She thought Draco wouldn't want others to know.

"That's good." Pansy held her chest and breathed a sigh of relief.

It seemed as if all of a sudden, they were on summer vacation, the wardrobes were emptied, all the students received a notice from the Ministry of Magic prohibiting the use of magic during the holidays, and then they boarded the Hogwarts Express in groups.

Lamia had nowhere to go. She didn't even know where else to go except the orphanage, but the orphanage was full of Muggles, which was too inconvenient for her.

Just as Lamia was wondering where to spend her long summer vacation, Harry, Ron and the other two walked towards her.

"Lamia!" Hermione called her name excitedly. It was strange that Harry was also calling her, but she only heard Hermione's voice.

"Lamia, where are you going for the summer vacation?" Hermione ran over and was panting.

"I don't know, Hermione." Lamia had told them a long time ago that she had lived in an orphanage.

"How about you come to my house?" Hermione hesitated and finally said it with a blushing face.

"Go to your house?" Lamia thought about the feasibility of this method. Hermione only had two Muggle parents at home, which was very convenient for her. However, she remembered that they were dentists, and what if they discovered her teeth.

"Forget it, Hermione, your parents must miss you very much, I won't disturb you." Lamia didn't want to take the risk and refused.

"It won't bother you, Lamia. My parents will be very happy. They like you very much." Hermione said hurriedly.

"But we haven't met." Lamia said with a smile.

"Ah, that's right, but I told them about you," Hermione explained.

"Why don't you come with me?" Harry said suddenly, not even noticing that his voice was trembling.

"Your family won't welcome me, Harry." Lamia recalled Harry's complaints about his uncle and aunt, and felt it was better to refuse.

"That's right." Harry lowered his head, feeling very lost.

"But don't worry, Harry, I will write to you during the summer vacation, and maybe I will come to see you." Lamia patted Harry's shoulder, signaling him to be happy.

As they stepped out of the brick wall and returned to the exit of the Muggle world, they heard a female voice.

It was Ron's mother, Mrs. Weasley, and she was holding a little girl's hand.

"It's Harry Potter, Mum," Ginny screamed.

Mrs. Weasley walked up to the four of them, holding Ginny's hand, and greeted them with a smile, "Hello, children."

Lamia had a good impression of this kind lady. The sound of her voice always made others feel comfortable.

"Mrs. Weasley, thank you for the sweater and fudge. I like them very much." Harry said happily.

"I'm glad you like her. How come I haven't seen this lady before?" Mrs. Weasley noticed the outstanding-looking Lamia next to Hermione at first sight. She wanted to signal Ron to introduce her, but Ron seemed not to see her expression and was only talking to Ginny.

"Hello, ma'am, I'm Lamia Nocturne." Lamia smiled and said gently.

Mrs. Weasley fell in love with this gentle little girl almost immediately. She liked such well-behaved and obedient children the most.

"Hello, child." Mrs. Weasley lifted Lamia into her arms and patted her back.

It was the first time that Lamia was treated like a child. She stood there in a daze, feeling as if she were wrapped in cotton, and the warmth touched her heart.

"I think you all might as well come over to my house," said Ron.

Lamia shook her head almost instantly. Even though she liked Mrs. Weasley very much, she didn't want to be surrounded by noisy sounds for the entire summer vacation, especially the Weasley twins, who had endless ways of making trouble for people.

And the Weasleys wouldn't welcome a Slytherin.

"Forget it, Ron, let Lamia come to my house." Hermione interrupted Ron and took Lamia's hand. "Lamia, come back with me. My parents really like you."

Lamia finally walked behind Hermione with her suitcase. For some reason, she couldn't refuse Hermione.

"Remember to write to me!" Harry shouted after his fat Uncle Vernon.

"Behave yourself, boy." Uncle Vernon slapped Harry hard on the back and took him away by the ear.

Lamia and Hermione looked at each other and saw worry for Harry in each other's eyes.

After a while, they came to Hermione's parents. Her parents seemed easy to get along with, especially Hermione's mother, who spoke very gently. Lamia even felt that it was not the first time they met her. There was a familiarity in their words.

"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Granger," Lamia greeted nicely.

"Hello, poor child, you will like our family. Come with us." Mrs. Granger hugged Lamia with heartache.

Soon, they arrived at Hermione's home, a cozy little house in London.

Lamia walked in and it was just as beautiful as she had imagined.

Hermione's mother had already prepared a soft bed for her, right next to Hermione's room.

"Mom, Lamia is going to live with me. Can I move her quilt into my room?" Hermione said coquettishly while holding her mother's arm.

"Then you should ask Miss Lamia. If she is willing, Mom can help you." Mrs. Granger said with a smile, amused by Hermione.

"Then Lamia, are you willing? We can read together in the evening and make potions together!" Hermione danced excitedly.

"Sure, Hermione," Lamia said with a smile, thinking it was no big deal.

So, Lamia watched as Mrs. Granger moved her bed over to Hermione's, which thankfully was big enough for both of them.

The weather in London has not been very good. Even though it is summer now, there are still few days with clear skies. Especially today, as soon as Lamia opened the window, she felt the moisture coming towards her face. As expected, it was raining.

Hermione was still lying in bed. Lamia left the window ajar and sat on the chair by the window, feeling the breeze mixed with moisture behind her.

"Children, are you awake? Breakfast is ready." Mrs. Granger knocked on the door gently.

"Yes, ma'am, we'll be right there," Lamia replied, then walked over to the bed and pinched Hermione's nose.

"Um, Lamia." Hermione was quickly awakened. She drowsily slapped away Lamia's hand on her face. "What time is it now?" She stretched.

"It's already 8 o'clock." Lamia said with a smile.

"What? Why didn't you call me earlier? It's over, it's over. All the plans are ruined! I don't want to chat with you at night anymore." Hermione hurriedly got up from the bed.

Lamia listened to Hermione's complaints while handing her a toothbrush cup and a towel. She did this almost every day after arriving in London. Although Hermione said this every day, she would still pester Lamia at night.

Today she and Hermione discussed going to the zoo. Hermione made a plan early, even detailing what to do every minute.

Speaking of plans, Lamia thought of her own plan. In the past few days, Lamia rarely saw Tom in her dreams. She was basically lying in bed alone, and Tom seemed to be busy with something very important.

"Are you ready? Lamia, we should be at the zoo entrance now!" Hermione stuffed a piece of bread into her mouth, put on the backpack she had packed last night, and stood at the door shouting at Lamia.

"Okay, okay." Lamia quickly packed a portion of the breakfast on the table and put it in her backpack.

Mr. Granger happened to be going to work, so Lamia and Hermione took his car to the zoo.

There are very few people in the zoo, almost no people at all.

Hermione seemed to have been here many times, explaining the various parts of the zoo to Lamia. "This is the Panda Pavilion. The pandas inside are from the ancient East and are very popular among everyone. And this..."

Lamia really admired Hermione's knowledge. There was almost nothing she didn't know. She could even name some strange animals.

"Hermione, look, that animal looks like Ron!"

"Lamia, that's a red hyena, better stay away from it."

"Hermione, that animal has a really long neck. Can it see its own feet?"

"Lamia, that's a giraffe, you should be able to see it."

"That animal looks really weird, and wow, it can breathe fire!"

"That's...Ah! Run, Lamia."

Hermione grabbed Lamia's hand and ran out madly, while the fire-breathing animal chased them relentlessly.

Lamia originally thought that this was a special performance at the zoo, but now she realized that something was wrong. She was about to cast a spell, "No, we can't use magic during the holidays." Hermione panted and took her to hide in the grass by the roadside.

The animal showed no intention of leaving. It seemed that its eyesight was poor and it didn't notice Lamia and Hermione hiding nearby.

"What should we do now?" Hermione nervously held Lamia's hand, her lips trembling slightly.

"It's okay, Hermione, it might just go away soon." Lamia stared at the animal and patted the back of Hermione's hand soothingly.

Unfortunately, although the animal did not discover Lamia and the other person, it did not intend to leave and stayed on the path they had to take to exit.

It was getting dark, Hermione's legs were numb, and she lay uncomfortably in Lamia's arms.

"Take it easy for a moment. When I start, don't look back. I'll be fine." Lamia supported Hermione and asked her to put as much weight on her as possible.

"No, I can't leave you alone." Hermione refused immediately.

"Don't worry, Hermione, I promise you, I'll be fine." Lamia gently put Hermione down, bent down and was about to walk out of the grass.

At this moment, hurried footsteps were heard in the distance, and then a man with freckles on his face and slightly curly hair ran over carrying a suitcase.

“Oh no!”

Newt shouted, attracting the animals' attention, and Lamia took the opportunity to help Hermione run out, and once they were at a safe distance, they observed this strange man and animal.

After he opened the suitcase, the animal seemed to be caught by some powerful force. Although it kept struggling, it was still locked in the suitcase.

Newt wiped the sweat from his head and keenly noticed Lamia and Hermione peeking.

"You are not Muggles, are you?" He walked towards Lamia and the other two with a smile on his face, looking innocent and harmless.

"Who are you?" Hermione was as if facing a great enemy and protected Lamia behind her.

"Newt Scamander, don't worry, ladies, I'm just like you." Newt opened his arms to show that he didn't have a wand. "I'm here to catch these animals. I accidentally let them escape a few days ago."

Hermione was relieved, but still had no intention of letting him get close. "I'm Hermione Granger, and she's Lamia Nocturne. Don't come near us."

Lamia could see that Hermione was still worried about the strange animal in his suitcase; her arms were still shaking.

"Mr. Scamander, maybe you should explain to us why your pet is messing around in the Muggle world?" Lamia patted Hermione's arm and said.

"Well, this is indeed my fault." Newt opened the suitcase. "How about I take you inside to have a look? That will be my apology."
