After HP shared the dream, Lao Fu was conquered by me
Chapter 331 Letter (1)
There was another sharp pop, and Mundungus disappeared.
"Dumbledore should have killed him, or at least fired him!" Mrs. Figg said angrily. "Now, go away, Harry, this place is not as safe as you think."
Harry was so tired that he was out of breath. He didn't have the energy to explain to Mrs. Figg that the reason he didn't leave was because he was almost falling to the ground because of Dudley.
He gave the half-conscious Dudley a tug and continued to stumble forward.
Lamia saw it all but could do nothing. She had the strength to move Dudley, but she had no intention of doing so.
"I'll walk you to the door," said Mrs. Figg, as they turned into Privet Drive.
"There might even be a Soul Eater nearby. Dumbledore told us not to let you use magic, saying the consequences would be very troublesome. But what can I do? I have a partner like that, and he's completely useless. If you ask me, Dumbledore should have been replaced by someone younger. Mangletons is just too old..."
"Wait a minute," Harry gasped, "are you all sent by Dumbledore to follow me? From the beginning?"
"Of course it is," said Mrs. Figg impatiently. "After what happened in June, do you expect him to let you wander around alone—"
"—Child, they told me you were very smart. You should have thought of this a long time ago. Okay, go in and stay here."
By this time they had arrived at Gate 4. "I think someone will contact you soon," Mrs. Figg said, turning around and preparing to leave.
"What are you going to do?" Harry asked quickly, and he threw Dudley to the ground. Poor Dudley was covered in mud.
"I'm going straight home," said Mrs. Figg, looking out into the dark street and shuddering. "I'll wait for further instructions, and until then I'll stay home. Now, good night."
"Wait, don't go yet! I still want to know--" Harry wanted to say something and hurriedly chased after him.
But Mrs. Figg was already trotting away, her thick slippers clacking and her net bag jingling.
"Wait! Mrs. Figg, I'm not finished yet!" Harry shouted at her back.
He had countless questions for anyone connected to Dumbledore, but in the blink of an eye, Mrs. Figg was swallowed up by darkness.
Harry frowned, readjusted Dudley who was slumped on his shoulder, and slowly walked up the garden path of number 4 Privet Drive with heavy steps.
"Lamia, can you give me a hand? This guy is too heavy. I can't carry him into the house." Harry made a bitter face and thought for a long time before saying to Lamia who was flying behind him.
"Dump him on the ground," Lamia replied curtly.
Harry was stunned for a moment, but finally obeyed Lamia and threw Dudley on the ground again, but this time, he found a place that looked relatively clean.
Lamia glanced at Dudley lying on the ground, then walked into the house with an expressionless face.
Harry wanted to ask something else. He thought Lamia would use magic to drag Dudley into the house, but he didn't expect her to leave on her own.
"Lamia, are you just leaving like that?" Harry stood there in a daze.
"Harry, just come here and don't worry about anything else." Lamia said helplessly, turning back.
Harry responded without glancing back at Dudley.
There was no one in the living room and everything was silent. Harry took a deep breath, put his wand back into the waistband of his jeans, and rang the doorbell.
No one answered for a long time. Just when Harry was about to turn around and tell Lamia, a figure suddenly appeared behind him. It was Dudley.
Harry's eyes widened. Dudley had actually stood up on his own, and he looked to be in pretty good shape.
"Dada! You're back just in time!" At the same time, the door was opened from the inside, and Aunt Petunia half of her body was revealed.
Dudley didn't react, still with that silly smile on his face, then he opened his mouth wide and spit all over the doormat.
"Dada, Dada, what's the matter with you? Vernon? Vernon!"
Harry's uncle lumbered in from the living room, where he had been taking a nap, his walrus beard tangled up in the way it always did when he got agitated.
He hurried over, and together with Aunt Petunia, he helped the weak-kneed Dudley across the threshold, being careful not to step on the pile of vomit Dudley had vomited.
"He's sick, Vernon!"
"What's the matter, son? What's happened? Did Mrs. Polkis give you anything inappropriate at tea?"
"Why are you covered in dirt, dear? Have you been lying on the ground all this time?"
"Wait a minute—you didn't get spanked, did you, son?"
Aunt Petunia screamed.
"Call the police, Vernon! Call the police! Dada, darling, talk to Mom! What have they done to you?"
In the chaos, no one seemed to be paying attention to Harry, which was just what he wanted. He winked at Lamia, who was hiding behind him, and the two of them slipped in just before Uncle Vernon slammed the door behind him.
As the Dursleys moved noisily through the living room toward the kitchen, Harry tiptoed carefully toward the stairs.
"Who did this, son? Tell us their names and we'll catch them. Don't worry."
"Hush! He's just about to speak, Vernon! What's the matter, Dada? Tell Mom!"
Harry's foot had just touched the first step when Dudley finally spoke.
"he."
Harry froze, one foot on the stairs, his face twisted as he steeled himself for the explosion.
Lamia simply couldn't bear to see what was about to happen. Sure enough—
"Boy! Come here!"
With a mixture of fear and anger, Harry slowly withdrew his foot from the stairs and turned to follow the Dursleys.
Aunt Petunia led Dudley, still green and ill-looking, to a chair, while Uncle Vernon stood in front of the drainboard, glaring at Harry with his small eyes narrowed.
"What did you do to my son?" he roared angrily.
"Nothing," said Harry, knowing full well that Uncle Vernon would not believe him.
Not only that, he also saved Dudley, but no one would believe that. Uncle Vernon would only think that all this was caused by him.
"What did he do to you, Dada?" Aunt Petunia asked in a trembling voice as she wiped the dirt off Dudley's leather jacket with a wet sponge. "Was it—was it that, dear? Did he use—his thing?"
Dudley nodded slowly and tremblingly.
"I didn't!" Harry said urgently, and Aunt Petunia let out a wail, and Uncle Vernon raised his fists.
"I didn't do anything to him, that wasn't me, that was--" Harry couldn't say anything. Was he going to say that he used his wand to save Dudley? They wouldn't believe it.
At this moment, a long-eared owl suddenly flew into the kitchen through the window, then brushed Uncle Vernon's head and flew lightly from the other end of the kitchen, dropping a large parchment envelope in its beak at Harry's feet.
Then it turned gracefully, the tips of its wings just brushing the top of the refrigerator, flew out with a whoosh, and disappeared over the garden.
"Owl!" roared Uncle Vernon angrily.
He slammed the kitchen window shut, the vein in his temple throbbing with its usual bulge. "An owl again! No more owls in my house!"
Harry had already ripped open the envelope and pulled out the letter, his heart pounding so hard it was about to leap into his throat.
Lamia seemed to notice Harry's anxiety and her deep red eyes glanced in Dudley's direction. No one noticed the look in a bat's eyes, and of course, Dudley himself didn't know.
But then he realized something was wrong. Dudley started wailing loudly. He couldn't help but cover his nose, "My nose, my nose is rotten!"
Uncle Vernon was so frightened that he hurried over to see his baby son, and Aunt Petunia was frantically looking for the phone. No one noticed that Harry had quietly taken Lamia upstairs.
There was chaos downstairs. Dudley's wailing and Aunt Petunia's screams made this afternoon, which should have been quiet, seem very lively.
"Lamia, don't you think this is a letter from the Ministry of Magic? Have I been discovered?" Harry sat on the bed, holding the envelope in his hand, and never dared to take the next step.
"They may have found out, Harry, but don't worry, Dumbledore won't let you be expelled like this." Lamia's words made Harry feel a lot better.
He finally opened the envelope tremblingly and slowly took out a piece of letter from it. It clearly stated how the Ministry of Magic had dealt with him. He had indeed been discovered.
"Lamia, they really want to expel me just because I used magic to save a Muggle!" Harry felt aggrieved. The letter made it clear that he was discovered by the Ministry of Magic because he saved Dudley, but this was an unprovoked disaster for the Muggles. Was he going to have to watch Dudley's soul being sucked away by the Soul Eater?
