"Well?" he asked eagerly. "We should go in hiding—do I look like a Muggle, sir?"

Lamia didn't understand why Mr. Weasley wanted to dress himself up as a Muggle, since his hair hadn't changed at all and people could recognize him at a glance, but she still nodded in support.

"Like," Harry said, grinning. "Very good."

"Where are Bill, Charlie, and Percy?" said George, his eyes already closed, and he could not help yawning again.

"They're not Apparating, are they?" said Mrs. Weasley, as she set the cauldron on the table and began to ladle porridge into bowls. "So they can sleep in a bit."

Lamia sighed silently. She could actually fly over there too, so she wouldn't have to get up as early as them. But she only dared to think about it casually in her heart. After all, if Mrs. Weasley knew about it, it would be difficult to explain.

"Apparate?" Ron closed his eyes, not knowing what he was thinking.

Harry said excitedly, "I know! Apparition means disappearing from one place and reappearing in another in the blink of an eye!"

"Oh, I see." Ron really couldn't muster any interest. He was too sleepy.

"So they're still fast asleep?" Fred asked irritably. "Why can't we Apparate too?"

"Because you are underage and haven't passed the exams yet," Mrs. Weasley shot back.

"I need a test to Apparate?" Harry asked.

"Oh, yes," said Mr. Weasley, stuffing the ticket carefully into the back pocket of his jeans.

"The other day, the Department of Magical Transportation fined two people for Apparating without a certificate. It's not an easy task, and if you don't do it right, you can get into trouble. It's pretty nasty. The two people I'm talking about ended up with their heads and bodies torn apart."

Lamia almost saw the scene Mr. Weasley described, and she felt so sick that she wanted to vomit.

The others all had grimaces, finding it hard to accept what Mr. Weasley said, but perhaps this intrigued him, for he continued talking.

"They left half of themselves behind," said Mr. Weasley, ladling a generous amount of syrup into his porridge.

"So, naturally, they were pinned there, unable to move on either side, while they waited for the Contingency Reversal Team to come and deal with the matter. I tell you, that meant a lot of paperwork, and those Muggles saw the shattered bodies they left behind..."

Lamia suddenly thought that if two legs and an eyeball were abandoned on the street, she would definitely not take a step towards them.

"But—" Mr. Weasley took a sip of his porridge and looked at the children with satisfaction at their concentration, "—luckily they're all right."

Harry breathed a sigh of relief.

"But they were fined so heavily that I doubt they'll be so hasty again. You should never take Apparition lightly—"

Many adult wizards don't want to take the trouble. They'd rather use a broom - slower, but safer." Mr. Weasley finished his last mouthful of porridge and touched his stomach.

"But Bill, Charlie, and Percy all can, don't they?"

"Charlie took the test twice before he passed it," Fred chuckled. "He flunked it the first time and materialized five miles south of his intended destination, landing on top of some poor old lady who was doing her shopping. Remember?"

"Yes, but he passed it on the second try." Mrs. Weasley strode back to the kitchen amidst happy laughter.

"Percy passed it just two weeks ago," said George. "He's been Apparating downstairs every morning since then, just to prove he can do it."

"Why do we have to get up so early?" After a casual conversation, Ginny seemed to have just come back to her senses and asked while rubbing her eyes.

"We have a long way to go," said Mr. Weasley.

Lamia: "Why walk? The World Cup isn't nearby."

"No, no, that's too far," said Mr. Weasley, laughing. "We only have a short walk to go, and it's very difficult to get a large group of wizards together without attracting the attention of Muggles. We'll have to be very careful about when to set out, and on such a big occasion as the Quidditch World Cup -"

"George!" Mrs. Weasley suddenly snapped, startling everyone.

"What's the matter?" George said, pretending nothing was wrong, but he couldn't fool anyone.

Lamia keenly noticed the lace leaking from his pocket and silently lit a lamp for him in her heart.

Sure enough, the next second, Mrs. Weasley waved her wand and said, "Show yourself!"

Many colorful gadgets flew out of George's pocket, each with plastic wings.

"What's this!"

Mrs. Weasley shouted, "No wonder you got such a low score in your OWLs! Fred, tell me, did you get any of this?"

"No, Mom! I promise!" Fred jumped up and was no longer sleepy. After all, he didn't want to be locked up at home by his mother because of this. As for his good brother, tut tut tut, when disaster strikes, they each run away!
