Despite what she said, Lamia still took Hagrid to the Great Hall. Even if she wanted to cook, she could only do it in the Great Hall. Besides the Great Hall, the only place in the whole Hogwarts that had fire and pots was Snape's office.

After eating the cookies made by Lamia, Hagrid still missed his own rock cookies.

Lamia now knew that Hagrid was not trying to save money or was too poor to eat good food, but that he simply loved eating the kind of bread that could break one's teeth.

"Lamia, do you want to come back to the cabin with me? I'll treat you to tea. Oh, and there's Fang, he's still waiting for me to feed him. No, I have to go back right away." Hagrid, who was originally rubbing his belly comfortably, suddenly became anxious.

At this moment, several neatly dressed wizards walked out of the castle. Lamia knew at a glance that they were the school's public administrators.

"Rubeau Hagrid, Mr. Malfoy has reported your course, Care of Magical Creatures, to us. The course content threatens the personal safety of Hogwarts students. Therefore, we are taking you away for investigation. The final result will be evaluated by the entire school committee and relevant personnel."

Hagrid only had time to ask Lamia to help feed his teeth. Before he could say anything else, he was taken away by the wizards.

……

As soon as Lamia arrived at Hagrid's hut, she saw Fang barking at her. It was a Neapolitan Mastiff. Its bark was as dull as thunder, but there was no aggression in its eyes, which were almost covered by its eyelids, only vigilance and fear.

Lamia walked up to it, touched its head, and told it Hagrid's request. Fang tilted his head, not knowing whether he understood it or not, but Lamia felt that he could understand it.

Fang stopped resisting and, with the clumsy effort of his small body, jumped into Lamia's arms, licking her neck with his large, wet tongue.

"Okay, Fang, I get it. I'll take you back right away." Lamia laughed out loud because she was itchy. She dodged Fang's tongue and carried it towards Hagrid's hut.

After a while, Lamia prepared dinner for Fang as Hagrid requested. Just as it finished eating, Hagrid's dull footsteps were heard outside.

Then there was another sound of hurried footsteps in the distance, and Lamia guessed it was Harry and the others.

Lamia opened the door and immediately saw Hagrid crying. She was a little at a loss. After all, Lamia had never seen such a big guy who loved to cry.

"Lamia, they're going to punish me—" Hagrid began sobbing.

Lamia looked behind him, there was no sign of Harry and the others. Lamia thought that they didn't want Hagrid to know they were here, which was understandable. No professor would want to make a fool of himself in front of his students, not even Hagrid.

As the only one who knows all the truth, Lamia has to help Hagrid.

The grass outside was still wet and looked almost black in the twilight. Hagrid walked into the hut in a daze, his big back looking so lonely.

Lamia went outside and persuaded Harry and the others to go with her, and to give Hagrid some time, so that he could calm down before going in.

About fifteen minutes later, they reached Hagrid's hut and knocked on the door. A voice shouted, "Come in." Hagrid was sitting at his scrubbed wooden table in just his shirt. His hound, Fang, had his head resting on Hagrid's lap, and his saliva had soaked Hagrid's trousers, but he obviously didn't notice.

At first glance, they could tell that Hagrid had been drinking a lot. In front of him was a large, single-handled tankard, as big as a bucket, and it seemed difficult for him to see them clearly. "Why are you here? Whatever, I just set a new record," he said stammeringly after recognizing them. "Ha, I bet you've never seen a teacher who only worked for one day."

"Hagrid, did they fire you?" Hermione was so nervous that she felt like she was being asked to answer a question she had never seen before.

"Not yet," Hagrid said sadly, taking another sip of something from his tankard. Lamia felt sick to Hagrid's stomach, considering he had just vomited up all that disgusting food that afternoon. "But it's only a matter of time, at Malfoy—"

"--Burp!" Hagrid covered his mouth and burped loudly. The sound scared Yaya, who was dozing on his legs, so much that he raised his head and looked around vigilantly with his loose face shaking.

"It's okay, it's okay, Fang." Hagrid touched Fang's head and took another big gulp.

"How's he doing? Malfoy, I mean," said Ron, as they all sat down. "Nothing serious, is it?"

"Madame Pomfrey treated him as best she could, but the school administrators all know about it," said Hagrid sadly. "They think I was being too hasty, and that I should have put the Hippogriff off until later, at least after Flobberworm or something... But I thought I could get the First Lesson right, and this is all my fault."

Hagrid covered his head in pain. He felt like his head was about to explode and the negative emotions in his mind were about to crush him.

"Okay, Hagrid." Lamia snatched the large wine glass from Hagrid's hand, "You can't drink anymore, I think you need a good sleep." Lamia looked into Hagrid's eyes, his pupils gradually dilated. Hagrid began to feel fuzzy, and he repeated, "Sleep, I need to sleep."

Lamia hypnotized Hagrid, who walked over to the bed and threw himself into it.

"Draco is fine now. Madam Pomfrey bandaged him, but he said he's still in pain." Lamia sat back in the chair. The four of them faced each other, and their voices gradually faded after Hagrid's deafening snoring sounded.

"He's faking it," said Harry quickly. "Madam Pomfrey can heal anything. She regrowth half my bones last year. Malfoy will be desperate to exploit that."

Harry slapped his thigh angrily, but he forgot that Fang's head was lying on it. He only heard a whimper, and Fang shook his big ears and lay on Lamia's legs.

"He's such a clingy dog," Ron smacked his lips, thinking of his own pet, Scabbers. "But he's not as cute as Scabbers."

"Stop talking about this, Ron, we have to find a way to help Hagrid." Harry withdrew his hand awkwardly. Fang liked humans so much and stuck to him almost all the time that Harry often ignored Fang because he was used to the weight of its head.

"I think there should be a way." Lamia's eyes flashed.

"What method?" Ron was the first one who couldn't help but stretch his neck to listen to Lamia's plan.
