The unknown creature kept approaching Lamia. Its huge, raised head emitted a foul stench like a rotting corpse. The pupils in its turbid eyes shrank into a tiny black dot, staring straight at Lamia.

"Back off, stay away from him!"

Lupin jumped in front of Lamia like a hen protecting her chicks, blocking the unknown creature's laser-like scorching gaze, turned his head and pushed Lamia away.

Lamia's face was filled with unprecedented panic. She was pushed and staggered, clinging to the wall in a panic, gasping for breath, her eyes fixed on the green liquid that kept dripping from the claws of the unknown creature.

She felt her whole body was terribly stiff, and the roaring sound in her ears devoured Lamia's consciousness bit by bit. Her heart seemed to be squeezed and grabbed by someone. The bone-eroding pain made her collapse to the ground unconsciously, her cheeks covered with tears.

But Lupin had no chance to pay attention to his students. He was exhausted by the torture of the Boggart. It was the first time in his life that he met a Boggart that was not afraid of spells, and it was he who cast the spell.

Just as everyone was being chased around the lounge by the unknown creature, Lamia finally broke free from her fear. She quickly got up from the ground, stretched out her arms and pointed at the unknown creature, "Funny, funny!" Her voice was short, rough and sharp, carrying a horror that Lamia had never imagined.

A dazzling light flashed, the shadows dissipated, and only a small plastic figure swaying back and forth remained on the ground.

Everyone's eyes were on Lamia, but she didn't care at all, not even wiping the tears from her face.

"Why doesn't she use her wand?"

"What's going on? Casting spells without a wand? That's impossible!"

The discussion grew louder and louder, and everyone looked at this freak worthy of study with doubt. No one could cast spells without a wand, not even Merlin, unless she was not human.

Rumors spread, and fear caused the students in the lounge to retreat in a hurry, as if the farther away they were, the less harm they would suffer.

Although Lupin tried his best to speak for Lamia, he could not explain this matter.

"Shut up! Everyone, shut up!"

It's Hermione.

Lamia, who was isolated in the center, raised her head hesitantly, just in time to see Hermione pushing down the person who spread the rumors. "What do you know? Lamia is not a monster!"

"But she doesn't have a wand! Wizards all have wands! And she conjured up monsters none of us have ever seen!"

The Gryffindor student straightened up and gave Hermione a hard push. She couldn't hold on and fell backward in panic, but the next second, Lamia flashed over and caught her.

Hermione suddenly hugged Lamia's neck, tears streaming down her face. She looked more like a victim of the rumors than Lamia.

After standing firm, Lamia raised her eyes, looked up and down at the Gryffindor who was retreating in fear when she saw her, and suddenly laughed out loud.

"You're afraid of me."

Parvati: "I didn't! Even if you're a powerful monster, what can you do? The professor is still here! He will protect me!"

But unfortunately, Lupin had no intention of going forward. He could see that Lamia was going to deal with Parvati, and as long as she didn't go too far, Lupin had no intention of taking action. After all, he also hated people who spread rumors.

"Who told you I'm a monster?" Lamia folded her arms and sneered, then raised her leg and kicked Parvati. Parvati was instantly kicked into the corner, and a layer of dust fell on her body.

"You, you are, you don't even have a wand." Parvati felt pain but didn't dare to continue to be arrogant. He was afraid that Lamia would hit him harder.

"Then what is this?" Lamia patted Hermione's arm soothingly, and a wand emerged from her sleeve.

"Is this yours? Impossible, this must be Hermione's. She wants to help you..."

"Shut up."

Lamia's light words made Parvati dare not speak anymore.

"Why should I explain it to you? If I say it is, then it is." Lamia pulled the wand out of her sleeve and held it horizontally in her hand. "Of course, if you want to experience it yourself, that's fine."

After saying that, Lamia wanted to wave her wand.

"Okay, okay, it's time to clear up the misunderstanding." Lupin walked over with a smile. He couldn't bear to watch the two quarreling any longer, otherwise they would fight sooner or later. Although he didn't know when Lamia took out the wand, it didn't matter.

Parvati hugged Lupin's thighs as if she had seen her savior, and kept crying in his ears, but Lupin did not punish anyone. However, this lesson ended like this.

……

Lamia and Hermione walked out of the common room side by side, neither of them speaking.

The scene just now kept flashing in Lamia's mind, and she still felt the fear from the bottom of her heart.

She was sure that the unknown creature did not exist in this magical world, and the Boggart did not transform into his full appearance.

"Lamia, are you okay?" Hermione pressed her shoulder worriedly. Her palm was warm, bringing Lamia back to her senses from her fear.

"It's okay, Hermione, thank you for speaking up for me just now." Lamia smiled. Although her face was pale, she couldn't hide the happiness on her face.

"Lamia, Lamia, wait for me."

Draco rushed over with Goyle and Crabbe and stopped in front of Lamia, but he was reluctant to speak.

Lamia: "Draco, what do you want?"

Draco: "I just want to tell you that I didn't mean to not help you just now. It's just that I was squeezed into a corner and couldn't get out at all. But I asked Goyle and Crabbe to go out. Really, you have to believe me."

It was obvious that his previously meticulous hairstyle was now a mess, comparable to Harry's hair, and his tie was twisted into a ball, all of which proved that he was telling the truth, but what use was it to Lamia?

Draco clutched his fingers nervously, his gray eyes fixed on Lamia's lips, as if he would hear the most embarrassing words in the next second.

"I believe you, Draco." Lamia smiled. "Can you let us go now?"

Draco was stunned, but he was not as relaxed as he thought when he heard the voice. It was not that Lamia believed him, but that she did not care at all.

A wave of grievance surged in Draco's heart, and he wiped his face. "Lamia, don't worry, I will let Dad deal with that bad guy." His firm eyes made Lamia helpless.

"You don't have to, but it's up to you."
