In the second week of the second semester of my sophomore year, Shengxiali came to school.

I got up at 6:30, put on makeup, went out to take a taxi at 6:50, and arrived at the classroom at 7:39.

…It’s too hard. I sleep half an hour less than before.

After being comforted by the kind-hearted classmates, she collapsed in her chair, leaning on Jiang Peipei, her breath still not fully calmed down.

After getting off the car, she ran all the way in.

The breakfast is still warm in the bag, so I eat it slowly during morning self-study.

Jiang Peipei gave her a loving look and asked, "Are you going to take a taxi every day from now on?"

For the first time in midsummer, I felt the urgency of the morning schedule. I stared at the blackboard in front of me with wide eyes. "This is the only way. I don't want to live on campus."

Accommodation is impossible.

She didn't know what kind of roommates she would be assigned to a four-person room, and it was far from comfortable like home. She would rather get up early than stay overnight.

"Is your throat okay?" Jiang Peipei teased her, "Come let me hear your silvery laughter."

In midsummer: “Haha.”

Monday classes are the most annoying. They are fully booked in the morning and classes don’t start until 2 p.m. After they finish, you have to wait until 6:30 p.m. before classes can resume again!

The class schedule is crazy, and with a three-and-a-half-hour gap, what are day students supposed to do? They take the bus home, but they can't stay home for long before they have to go out again.

Damn it!

After finally getting through her morning classes of Introduction to Linguistics and Journal Selection, she arrived at the cafeteria for lunch. She couldn't order anything she wanted, as her throat was still a concern. Unfortunately, none of the food in the cafeteria suited her taste, so she ended up ordering taro and sword beans and potatoes.

The aunt who served the food saw that the girl was pitifully thin and only ate cheap vegetarian dishes. She thought that the female student had no money in her card, so she made an exception and gave her an extra serving of spicy chicken and gave it to her for free.

Shengxia was flattered and accepted it with a smile.

The two of them sat side by side against the stone pillar and ate.

Jiang Peipei glanced around and whispered to her, "Last week, no less than five handsome guys came to me to inquire about you and asked if you were single."

Sheng Xia Li almost spit out his food, "Why are these people so idle?"

"I'm wondering too, do you have a support group at school? They got the news so quickly."

"Isn't this a plot that only exists in novels?"

After saying that, Shengxiali realized that they were actually living in a novel.

Jiang Peipei shrugged, "Who knows."

"Just don't bother me." Sheng Xia Li clasped his hands together and prayed to the air. "It's annoying to live far away, and I have so many classes next semester. Don't come, don't come!"

The table shook slightly, and a handsome figure sat down opposite her, inadvertently accepting her worship.

"In the middle of summer." Jiang Huaiyu sat down with his plate and asked, "What are you doing?"

Jiang Peipei bit her chopsticks and looked at him in shock, not even having time to remind her friends beside her.

When Sheng Xiali heard the voice coming from the other side, he realized who was coming and quickly put down his hand, "I have nothing to do, so I'll pay my respects."

Jiang Huaiyu didn't ask any further questions, his eyes fell on her lunch, "You want to eat this?"

The fried chicken pieces are coated with chili peppers, which are tempting in appearance and aroma.

Sheng Xia Li defended herself: "This was given to me by my aunt."

"You need to eat this," he repeated, this time in a declarative manner.

In the middle of summer: "..."

She used her chopsticks to push the spicy chicken to the corner and said pitifully, "Can't I just take a look?"

Jiang Huai was silent for a moment, and then he pushed the large shrimps on the plate in front of her. They were juicy and plump, each one crystal clear, hot, and still steaming.

Jiang Huai said, "Exchange."

Sheng Xia Li asked: "Where did it come from?"

Jiang Huaiyu: "In the past, when we served the rice, it was fresh out of the pot."
