Mr. Rong, please stay. Miss Sang doesn't want to be a widow.

Chapter 254: My feelings for you, don’t you understand?

Bo Yuheng's pupils constricted, his eyes turned a blood-red, and even the whites of his eyes were covered with bright red bloodshot.

He was like a dying beast, gasping for breath with his mouth open.

Anger and unwillingness. Like a burning flame, it flickered with a cold and wild light.

"Sang Yuwan, Rongzhi, you guys... are so cruel..."

Before Bo Yuheng could finish his words, he felt a sharp pain in his chest. His body twitched twice, and he was no longer breathing.

"Second Master, the person seems to be dying."

Before Rong Zhi reached the second floor, the man in black anxiously called him down.

"If they're still breathing, send them to the hospital. If they're not breathing, send them directly back to the West Hospital."

Rong Zhi stood on the stairs, looking down at him with a cold tone.

The man in black reached out his hand to feel Bo Yuheng's breath, his pupils shrank, and he quickly withdrew his hand.

"Hurry, go to the west courtyard."

When Rong Zhi heard this, the corners of his cold lips twitched slightly.

Unjust is doomed to destruction.

He had warned Bo Yuheng long ago.

Unexpectedly, Bo Yuheng not only did not repent, but became even worse.

He deserved to die.

Rong Zhi watched the men in black and the bodyguards carry Bo Yuheng away. His eyes darkened, and he looked away and continued to go upstairs.

He pushed open the door of the reception room on the second floor and saw Sang Yuwan sitting on the sofa at a glance.

"Bo Yuheng has been sent back to the West Courtyard."

A cool male voice, neither hurried nor slow.

Sang Yuwan looked slightly stunned.

The west courtyard is where the second wife lives.

Rong Zhi sent Bo Yuheng back, and his meaning was very clear.

Sang Yuwan took a deep breath and said coldly, "Didn't you say you wanted to make him live a life worse than death? How come he died so soon?"

Rong Zhi walked over and sat down beside her. Seeing the oranges in the fruit bowl, he picked one up and slowly began to peel it.

"He's probably anxious to go find Bo Yuanshan and Bo Xingzhi to complain."

Sang Yuwan tilted her head and frowned, "Who are you suing?"

Rong Zhi tore at the white meridians on the orange, turned sideways, and raised an eyebrow, "You and me."

Sang Yuwan smiled, "What are you telling us?"

Rong Zhi broke the orange in half and handed it to her, his eyes filled with tenderness. "What do you think?"

Sang Yuwan didn't reach out to take it, and curled her lips coldly, "I don't know."

Rong Zhi freed one hand, held Sang Yuwan's wrist, and then placed the peeled orange in her palm.

"Taste it."

Sang Yuwan straightened her lips and put the peeled orange back into the fruit bowl.

"I dare not eat anything given by the Second Master."

Each word, though calm and distant, seemed to carry a layer of frost, making people feel a sense of distance involuntarily.

Rong Zhi's heart suddenly skipped a beat, and he had a vague bad feeling.

He suppressed his emotions, raised his lips, and smiled faintly, "Are you worried that I might poison you?"

Sang Yuwan's eyes were deep and cold, like two bottomless cold pools. No matter how noisy the surroundings were, they could not stir up a ripple in them.

She was silent for a few seconds, then said coldly, "Hasn't the Second Master done this before?"

Rong Zhi couldn't help but frown when he heard this.

"Do you suspect that Bo Xingzhi's death has something to do with me?"

Sang Yuwan's brows tightened, and a layer of frost fell in his eyes, "Is it not related?"

"No." Rong Zhi responded immediately without any hesitation.

Sang Yuwan sneered, "Xian Si has said it all, what else can the Second Master say?"

Rong Zhi's eyes suddenly widened, and his pupils flashed with an incredible light, like fireworks suddenly blooming in the night sky, bright and short-lived.

"She confessed everything?"

"You knew the real cause of Bo Xingzhi's death, so why did you hide it?"

Sang Yuwan adjusted her sitting position, her eyes fixed on his face. Her gaze held both doubt and expectation.

She wanted him to tell her that Bo Xingzhi had indeed died from excessive indulgence in pleasure, but she also wanted to hear another answer.

The word "poisoned" was like a sharp knife piercing her heart.

She didn't want to believe that her mother died for the same reason.

Accidents and murders.

The latter is even more unacceptable.

Rong Zhi looked at her, his eyes were deep and bright, as if hiding endless stories and tenderness.

Sang Yuwan's long eyelashes trembled slightly.

Time slowed to a crawl, and a subtle, tense atmosphere hung in the air. Their breathing seemed to synchronize, each inhale and exhale deepening this invisible connection. All the surrounding noise and bustle was swallowed by the silence.

After a few minutes, Rong Zhi spoke calmly.

"If I say I did this for you, would you believe me?"

Sang Yuwan curled the corners of her lips slightly, smiling, but it seemed as if she wasn't smiling.

"Would you believe it yourself?" Rong Zhi pursed his lips, his eyes darkening. His gaze was like a delicate and complex painting, interwoven with a multitude of emotions, difficult to describe in a single word. Deep within his pupils, there seemed to be a secret hidden, impossible to see through or guess.

He stared at her, his lips parted slightly, "No matter what I say, you won't believe it?"

Sang Yuwan replied, "No."

Rong Zhi looked at her, his eyes flickering slightly.

Sang Yuwan's gaze was cold and distant, like the North Star. "Answer my question first. Why did you conceal the cause of Bo Xingzhi's death?"

Rong Zhi's eyes darkened slightly, and his stern face was calm, like a deep and silent ocean.

“Play the long game and catch the big fish.”

Sang Yuwan frowned slightly as she stared at him. She seemed to be surrounded by an invisible force, and her cold and arrogant aura made him feel uneasy.

"Fishing?" She paused, then raised her eyebrows slightly. "I'm one of them."

Rong Zhi's heart is entangled with countless fine threads, each carrying a different emotion, intertwining and pulling at each other, making it difficult to sort out.

"I just want to protect you."

Sang Yuwan's eyelids twitched heavily, and she pursed her lips, a big hint of sarcasm on her lips, "Second Master is really good at talking."

This is not a compliment, but a sarcasm.

Rong Zhi felt that his breathing was strangled by an invisible force, and his chest seemed to be pressed down by a huge rock. Every time he tried to breathe, it became extremely difficult.

He poured himself a glass of water and took two sips.

Sang Yuwan's delicate features were covered with anger. "Second Master, if you don't tell me, I will assume that you are the murderer of Bo Xingzhi."

Rong Zhi's heart seemed to be suddenly tightened by an invisible giant hand, followed by a violent tremor, as if the power hidden under the earth's crust suddenly erupted, causing an earthquake in his heart.

The air around seemed to freeze, and time lost its meaning of flowing at this moment.

Sang Yuwan stared at her without blinking, trying to find some flaws in his eyes.

The slight curve of Rong Zhi's lips, more like self-mockery than a smile, seemed to fade away from him. All the sounds around him seemed to drift away, becoming blurred and distant. Only the deep sense of loss in his heart remained clear and strong.

"Sang Yuwan, my, your heart, don't you understand?"
