Longevity: Start by practicing the ruthless way
Chapter 133 Emptying the Family's Assets to Buy the Dharma
"It can't be considered a complete transformation in the true sense, but my physical fitness has improved significantly, and my physical strength has also increased a lot."
The big black dog had not woken up yet, and Gu Chi had also begun to practice in seclusion and had not gone out. There was still enough food and water in the Heaven-Swallowing Bag, enough for them to eat and drink for four to five years.
A year passed quickly, and Gu Chi added the longevity points she and the big black dog had accumulated in the year to the [Mana] attribute.
After a year of hard training, although her realm of cultivation had not improved significantly and was still at the early stage of the Golden Core, she carefully comprehended the general outline of the Luoshu and felt that this page of the general outline was more and more profound and sublime.
In the universe within her body, her internal organs evolved into yin and yang, forming the foundation of Taoism, and colorful divine energy rose into the sky.
The eternal palaces and mansions are majestic and lofty, mysterious and unfathomable, and contain endless Taoist power.
The Purple Mansion Secret Realm, originally located between the chest and abdomen, evolved into the Golden Core Secret Realm after entering the Golden Core Stage. In the vast golden light, it seemed as if a world was born, mysterious and unfathomable.
Gu Chi's mind was immersed in the universe within his body. He had no self and no other, his body and mind were empty and peaceful, and he could vaguely hear bursts of vague and vast heavenly sounds of the Tao.
It sounds like the three thousand Buddhas chanting Sanskrit in Zen, and also like the sacrificial sounds of ancient ancestors, spanning endless time and space, coming slowly from the distant ancient times.
It's very mysterious, even weird. How can there be such a sound inside the human body?
Gu Chi couldn't figure it out, so his mind withdrew from the universe in his body. He took out a piece of iron from his Heaven-Swallowing Bag. The piece was as thin as a cicada's wing, but felt heavy in his hand. It was exactly a page of the Luoshu.
Gu Chi read it carefully and saw a record that said the "passing self" was chanting for the present self.
There is a saying that a person has three souls. After death, one soul returns to heaven and earth, and exists forever in a form that is empty yet real; one soul is stored in the inscriptions on the monument, and if no one worships it, it will turn into a lonely ghost; the last soul enters the underworld and reincarnates.
The "passing self" mentioned here should be the soul that returns to heaven and earth and lives forever.
The "passing self" lives on forever, transforming into five energies, chanting scriptures for my present self, connecting heaven and earth, capturing traces of the Tao, nourishing the master of life, and making the "self" of this life immortal.
Of course, this is just a guess made by the owner of Luoshu himself. No one can be sure whether it is true or not.
Before Buddhism proposed the concept of reincarnation, Taoist monks believed that when a person dies, it is like a lamp being extinguished, and that they are born from the innate qi. After death, they will also turn into the most primitive wisp of innate qi and return to heaven and earth.
To this day, some self-important Taoist monks also do not believe in the so-called reincarnation of past lives in Buddhism. They all believe that I am myself and there is no such thing as past life or reincarnation.
Therefore, the Luoshu General Outline also mentions another statement, calling it "Tao I", which is not manifested externally, but is contained in the yin and yang and five elements.
The human body is like heaven and earth, corresponding to the great world. The so-called "Tao self" belongs to the aspect of self-Taoism, corresponding to the great way of heaven and earth, and there is no forced explanation of reincarnation in three lives.
According to this theory, those hazy sounds that sound like the chanting of Buddhas and the sacrificial sounds of ancient ancestors are actually the "Tao I" responding to the Tao of heaven and earth, and are an interaction between the self and the world.
To be more precise, it should be said that it is capturing the traces of the Tao and comprehending the ultimate truth of the Way of Heaven.
Gu Chi didn't know which explanation was correct, but she was more inclined to the latter statement. She felt that it was her Taoist nature that was comprehending the Tao, comprehending the truth of the Tao, and nourishing the master of life.
"In other words, it's me, not some Zen chanting, nor the sacrificial sounds of ancient ancestors, but my own enlightenment?"
The road of spiritual practice is long. If you want to truly understand the truth, you will inevitably encounter many unsolved mysteries. Only when you walk far enough on this road can you slowly understand.
Gu Chi was very glad that she had a page of the Luoshu's outline in her hand. Although the method of cultivation was not detailed, it explained the many things that needed to be paid attention to and the many problems that might be encountered on this path, allowing her to understand it and avoid wading through trouble by feeling the stones.
In the following days, Gu Chi and the big black dog would occasionally run outside the cave to fight after practicing, treating each other as the best sparring partners.
Half a year later, a man and a dog walked out of the desolate uninhabited area and entered an oasis.
Gu Chi made some minor adjustments to his appearance and changed into the Taoist robes of the Lingxi Sect of Qian Kingdom.
The big black dog cast a spell to transform himself into a khaki Shiba Inu, and he didn't like walking on two legs.
This oasis has a radius of more than 3,000 miles, far away from the center of the northern border, and is not a prosperous place.
The central city of this oasis is called Kaiyang, with a population of approximately 900,000. It is the most prosperous ancient city in this oasis and has a history of more than 3,000 years.
This was a city that Jiang Chengji had mentioned to Gu Chi before. He said that if anyone wanted to find them, they just had to make some noise near Kaiyang City.
The ancient city has mottled relics and many of its walls have lost their stone skin, but it is still majestic, like a lion crawling on the ground.
As soon as she entered the city, Gu Chi saw her own portrait, or to be more precise, her wanted poster, which was hung high on the city wall. On it was a handsome and slightly childish face, which was exactly the appearance of the boy she had transformed into before. The bounty was as much as one thousand kilograms of low-grade spirit stones.
"I didn't expect that I'm so valuable." Gu Chi laughed.
The big black dog was indignant and wanted to tear up Gu Chi's wanted poster.
The streets were bustling with traffic and people coming and going. The man and the dog stopped in front of every snack stall, wanting to try whatever food they saw.
Not long after, Gu Chi also heard a piece of news that the young generation of outstanding people from the major sects, schools and families around Kaiyang City would have a gathering.
Gu Chi didn't care much about it. He took the big black dog Xuanyou and walked around and came to an antique shop.
"What would you like to order, sir?"
The shopkeeper was a fat man with a mustache. When he saw a customer coming in, he immediately stood up and greeted him with a smile on his face.
Gu Chi glanced around and asked, "Do you have any method to conceal my aura?"
The shopkeeper asked, "Sir, have you made a great enemy with someone and are being hunted down?"
Gu Chi said: "Just tell me if you have it or not. If not, I'll go ask somewhere else. Why are you asking so many questions?"
Seeing her turn around and about to leave, the shopkeeper quickly stopped her and said, "Yes, yes, don't worry, sir, I'll get it for you right away!"
He walked to a counter and took out a prismatic crystal from a cabinet. He said, "You only need to inject your spiritual consciousness into it, and you can directly learn the method."
Gu Chi didn't reach out to take it, and said, "How effective is your method? Don't try to trick me with a trick that can only fool Qi training cultivators."
The shopkeeper patted his chest and swore confidently, "That's impossible. My method is called 'Blocking the Immortal Eyes'. It's said to have been passed down from the upper realm. I'm not exaggerating, but once this method is put into practice, as long as you don't encounter those Nascent Soul stage Lord-level figures, I guarantee that no one will be able to see through it!"
