The Walking Dead TWD

Chapter 72 Morgan

In the play, Morgan Jones' wife Jenny was bitten by a zombie while passing through King County on her way to Atlanta.

Later, the injured Jenny died due to serious injuries at Morgan's temporary residence. Morgan did not have the courage to destroy his beloved wife Jenny's brain, which eventually led to Jenny's successful transformation into a zombie.

Morgan allowed the transformed Jenny to wander around their community, an action that was the root cause of the tragedy that followed.

Later, Morgan met Rick, and under Rick's leadership they went to the county sheriff's office. Rick gave Morgan a Remington 700 sniper rifle and signaled Morgan to free his wife Jenny.

After Rick left, Morgan hesitated for a long time but couldn't bring himself to do it. Morgan once again gave up the opportunity to kill Jenny.

Later, Zombie Jenny follows Morgan and his son Duane into an abandoned house.

Morgan went to the basement to search for supplies, while Duan stayed up front to keep watch.

Duan then discovered that his mother Jenny was following them. Faced with Jenny's attack, Duan was unable to shoot his mother, which eventually led to Duan being bitten.

Morgan was heartbroken and could not accept that his wife had bitten their son Duane, so he had no choice but to kill Jenny.

It was too late to kill Jenny at this time. Duan died from Jenny's attack and then turned into a zombie.

On the field, Morgan was breathing heavily, beads of sweat the size of beans rolling down his forehead, and the magazine of his only lethal pistol was now empty.

As a last resort, he could only pick up the shovel in Duan's hand to resist the zombies.

At this moment, the hideous zombies kept attacking the Morgan family, making creepy roars, as if they wanted to eat the Morgan family alive.

The Morgan family was too tired to run anymore. They stood where they were, struggling to use shovels to resist the zombies' wave after wave of attacks. At this moment, their hearts were filled with despair.

Morgan shouted for help while protecting his wife and children tightly. However, there were too many zombies. Morgan gradually felt overwhelmed and the situation became precarious.

Jenny shouted, "Morgan, take Duan and run. I'll help you lead them away!"

Morgan firmly refused: "No, Jenny!"

Jenny's eyes were already filled with determination: "Morgan, Duane, I love..."

Fuck! Jenny can't die!

Zhou Nan's heart sank!

“Wait!”

"Hold up, I'm coming!" Zhou Nan shouted, and the shout attracted the attention of the Morgan family.

Jenny can't die now. Her death would cause too much harm to Morgan. After her death, it took Morgan a whole month to recover.

Just as he recovered, Duan was bitten by Jenny again, and Morgan went completely crazy.

It can be said that Jenny is the root cause of Morgan's psychopathic behavior.

Jenny heard Zhou Nan's call and stopped sacrificing her life, which made Zhou Nan feel relieved. Although Zhou Nan admired her for sacrificing herself for others, as long as she didn't give away her life, everything would be fine!

"Someone is here to rescue us, Jenny. Let's hold on. You must not give up!" Morgan comforted Jenny while pushing the zombies away with a shovel.

Zhou Nan quickly took a baseball bat from the car and rushed towards where the Morgan family was with brisk steps.

As for why he didn't use a gun, it was because Zhou Nan was afraid that the sound of gunfire would attract more zombies. Even if it was equipped with a silencer, it would not be possible to be silent and would still alarm the zombies in a small area.

The people who were searching for supplies in other rooms had actually heard the gunshots outside a long time ago, as well as Morgan's cries for help.

But without Zhou Nan's instructions, they did not act rashly. It was not because they were unwilling to help, but because they were afraid of bringing disaster to the team. In this case, doing nothing was the best option.

However, Zhou Nan had just made it clear that he wanted to rescue this family, so they gave up waiting and chose to step forward to help the Morgan family.

Zhou Nan had already started fighting the zombies at close range at this time. The people in the team no longer hesitated and followed him to join the battle.

Morgan had just finished calling for help when he saw a group of people rushing towards him.

He looked closely and found that the equipment of the group of people in front of him was varied. Some were holding rifles, some were holding pistols, and some were holding spears and axes.

Morgan's desire to survive prompted him to ask Zhou Nan and his group for help: "Kind people, please help us! My family is almost unable to hold on! I beg you to have mercy..."

Zhou Nan didn't waste any words with Morgan, but just nodded at Morgan with the baseball bat in hand. As his adrenaline surged, the slight soreness left over from the exercise disappeared, or was temporarily blocked.

Zhou Nan killed a zombie very quickly and efficiently, which attracted the attention of Paul standing by. Zhou Nan's progress was visible to the naked eye!

The extensive exercise these days seems to have made Zhou Nan stronger.

Paul was not willing to be outdone. He held a long-handled knife and waved it at the zombies.

The blade of the long-handled knife was sharpened by Paul to be extremely sharp. It could easily cut through the body tissues of zombies. It was even sharper than the knives in the hands of the knife vendors in Longguo!

Harris looks a little silly, but he is very decisive when it comes to killing zombies. Due to his broken bones, he can only hold the sharpened spear with his other hand, but even so, he can easily pierce the zombie's head.

Others were also fighting zombies.

Within five minutes, all the zombies here were surrounded and wiped out, including the zombies that came later.

Zhou Nan could clearly feel that his endurance seemed to have increased a lot. Originally, he would gasp for breath after killing two zombies, but now he can hold on for a long time. This is indeed something to be happy about.

Morgan's lips were cracked, and he swallowed hard, looking very tired. He thanked everyone, "My name is Morgan, and this is my wife, Anne, and my son, Duane."

"Thank you for your help, kind people. I have some food here, although it may not be..."

Zhou Nan accepted a can of beans and interrupted Morgan's gratitude: "My name is Zhou Nan, and these are my companions."

Everyone nodded in agreement with Morgan.

After exchanging names, Zhou Nan asked Morgan, "Where are you and your family going? Wandering around with your family isn't a wise choice these days!"

Morgan had no intention of hiding it. "I heard on the radio a few days ago that a refugee camp had been set up in Atlanta. There's military protection there, and they provide food, shelter, and medical care. They're sending people there, saying it's the safest place, so we're planning on taking refuge there!"

Zhou Nan nodded, glanced at Rick, and then said to Morgan: "As far as I know, the Atlanta refugee camp has fallen and it is no longer safe there."

Morgan seemed a little shocked. "Has it been taken over? I don't know. My communication device has been out of power for a long time."

Morgan, who had lost hope, was a little at a loss. They were not afraid of the difficulties on the road because they were influenced by their faith.

"If it falls, what will become of everything we've experienced along the way?" Morgan felt a little lost now.

"Morgan, we are going to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Do you want to join us?" Zhou Nan looked at Morgan, who was a little conflicted, and invited him at the right time.

Morgan looked at Zhou Nan, and a glimmer of hope seemed to return to his eyes: "Is there a safe shelter there?"

Zhou Nan shook his head and replied, "That's just a waypoint for us. We are just looking for weapons there. Our final destination is Merryweather Prison."

"There are rivers, barbed wire, watchtowers, wide dirt fields, and sturdy cells..."

The more Morgan listened, the brighter his eyes became. He glanced at his wife and son beside him. They wandered in the wilderness every day, being harassed by zombies all day long, and were in constant fear. Aren't they just trying to find a safe shelter?

Moreover, there are a lot of people on the other side, so if danger occurs, everyone can face it together, and the chance of survival will be greatly increased.

Morgan was immediately moved by the thought of no longer having to take risks with his wife and children. "Zhou Nan, this is exactly what I want. I'm willing to join you!"

Seeing Morgan nod in agreement, Zhou Nan smiled: "Morgan, welcome aboard!"

Morgan joined the team. Zhou Nan was happy but also had a headache.

This has completely changed Morgan's life trajectory. Perhaps this has also led to Morgan's combat effectiveness being less powerful in the future. This is where the two are in conflict.

Morgan's own fighting ability is not low, but the fundamental reason for his strength is that his master Eastman taught him Aikido.

Eastman and Morgan are both teachers and friends. He lives in a remote abandoned logging camp, probably located in the mountains of West Virginia. It is an isolated place surrounded by dense forests and mountains.

Eastman chose to live in seclusion in this place, away from the zombie and human worlds, seeking a more peaceful way of life. Here he built his own home, grew food, practiced Aikido, and studied books on philosophy and medicine.

This place was an important turning point for the out-of-control Morgan, where he learned how to control his violent tendencies and found a new way to survive.

It can be said that Eastman is a mysterious and powerful character. He is a criminal psychologist, martial arts master, and medical expert. He is simply an all-round talent.

The most amazing thing is that he can directly transform Satan Morgan into Virgin Morgan!

Zhou Nan looked at Morgan, who was still a normal person at the moment, and hesitated whether to let Eastman and Morgan meet again.

Zhou Nan has both love and hate for people like Eastman. He loves his powerful fighting ability, but hates that Eastman is also a saint. However, if he lets Eastman teach everyone to learn Aikido, it can be considered a way out.

At this time, Rick's voice interrupted Zhou Nan's tangle: "Zhou Nan, I think there should be a lot of guns and ammunition where I work. Let's go find guns now!"

"Okay Rick, let's go. Morgan, do you want to join?" Zhou Nan readily agreed after hearing this. This was exactly what he wanted to do, and Zhou Nan also asked Morgan, who had just joined the team, whether he wanted to join.

"No problem." Morgan nodded in agreement very readily.

His wife Jenny and son Duane also followed the women in the group, where their safety would be guaranteed.

Paul stayed here to protect everyone's safety. Zhou Nan and Morgan cleared out some space in the truck. Rick went home to get the key to the police station, and then the three of them drove the truck to the King County Police Station to purchase goods.
