Chapter 510: So, Cheers to a New Beginning

Li Yue picked up the cigarette case on the table, lit a cigarette, took a deep drag, and slowly exhaled. "Prepare to negotiate with Huo Han. Perhaps this is the only way out."

Huo Han was discussing the next course of action with Lian Haolong and other core members when his phone suddenly rang. Seeing the caller ID, he sneered, "Has this guy finally lost his temper?"

"Is it Li Yue?" Lian Haolong asked curiously.

"Yes, he might be here to seek peace on May 13th." Huo Han answered the phone.

"Huo Han, I think we need to talk." Li Yue's voice sounded a little heavy on the other end of the phone.

"Oh? What to talk about?" Huo Han pretended to be indifferent.

"I proposed the conditions for peace talks, and this time I will keep my promise."

Huo Han chuckled: "Do you still remember the result of your last promise? Your promise is of no value to me."

Li Yue was silent for a moment on the other end of the phone, then said, "I know I made a big mistake last time, but I promise that this problem won't happen again this time. You can state your conditions."

Huo Han turned around and looked at Lian Haolong and other members. They all shook their heads, indicating that they did not approve of the peace talks.

"Listen, Li Yue, you don't have much time left. The police will come to arrest you soon. You asked for it." Huo Han said flatly.

"Are you sure you don't want to consider peace talks?"

"Pretty sure."

"Well, if this is your choice, I have nothing to say. But don't forget, things may change." Li Yue's voice was filled with an indescribable emotion.

"That depends on whether you have the opportunity to travel around." Huo Han said coldly, then hung up the phone.

He put down his phone and turned to Lian Haolong and the other members: "Get ready, we're going to participate in the final operation. The police will take action soon, and we must be prepared."

Everyone nodded and went about their business. Huo Han sat down, took a deep breath, and then sighed softly.

"It's finally coming to an end."

At this moment, his cell phone rang again. It was a message from the police chief: "All preparations have been completed, waiting for your order."

Huo Han smiled, knowing that this long war was finally coming to an end. He replied with a simple message: "Let's get started."

Then he stood up and drew down the curtains. Only the dim light and his cold eyes remained in the room.

Huo Han, wearing a black windbreaker, stood at the entrance of an abandoned factory. This was the meeting place he had agreed to meet with Li Yue. The surroundings were dark and dilapidated, reflecting the shady nature of this transaction. His men, including Lian Haolong, were ready nearby. In the distance, the police were also in place.

After a while, Li Yue appeared with a gloomy face, and the atmosphere was so tense that it seemed to be cut off.

"Huo Han, are you really not going to leave a way out for yourself?" There was a glimmer of despair and anger in Li Yue's eyes.

"Don't you think it's too late, Li Yue?" Huo Han sneered, pulling his phone from his pocket and showing it to him. A text message appeared on screen 4.2: "All preparations are complete, awaiting your order."

"You..." Li Yue widened his eyes, burning with anger.

"Yes, the police will be here at any time. You and your gang will be finished together." Huo Han's voice was cold.

Li Yue was furious. In an instant, he pulled out a dagger from his arms and rushed towards Huo Han, stabbing the dagger towards Huo Han's heart.

But Huo Han's reaction was extremely fast. He dodged the dagger in an instant and used a "grabbing hand" to counterattack Li Yue to the ground. Huo Han looked at him with a cold smile, and the power of his foot increased, making Li Yue almost breathless.

Just then, the lights of a police car flashed, and the sirens blared through the night. Several heavily armed officers rushed in, shouting, "Don't move! You're under arrest!"

A policeman stepped forward and put handcuffs on Li Yue's hands. Li Yue tilted his head and forced a ferocious smile from the corner of his mouth.

"Is this your choice?" Li Yue asked coldly, as if he was still unwilling to accept the reality before him.

"No, this is what you deserve." Huo Han said calmly, then turned and walked away. The police behind him took Li Yue into the police car.

Lian Haolong walked to Huo Han's side, glanced at the arrested Li Yue, then turned to Huo Han and said, "Is this the end now?"

Huo Han smiled and said, "Yes, this story has finally come to an end."

The two glanced around and then walked into the night.

Li Yue sat upright on a cold, hard chair in the police station, his eyes fixed sharply on the interrogating officer opposite him. The gang members who had been brought back with him also appeared unusually arrogant, as if this was their territory.

"Let me tell you, Huo Han will never have a good ending!" Li Yue roared with disdain.

The interrogating police officer sneered and opened a document. "Okay, let's not talk about Huo Han for now. How about we talk about the murder case that you and your parents were involved in?"

Li Yue's expression suddenly changed. He obviously didn't expect the police to investigate so quickly.

Meanwhile, Huo Han was meeting with several gang leaders in a teahouse. The setting was antique, but the air was filled with tension and oppression.

"Brother Huo, we all support you. If you need to know anything, just ask." A leader broke the silence first.

"Do you have any clues about the murder case involving Li Yue and his parents?" Huo Han went straight to the point.

The leaders exchanged a glance, and then one of them began, "As far as we know, it happened five years ago. Li Yue's father was involved in a business deal that led to a dispute with another company. The owner of that company mysteriously disappeared and hasn't been found to this day."

"Okay, tell the police everything you know. This time, we will bring him down completely." Huo Han said with a firm look.

The information was quickly passed to the police, and an investigation was immediately launched. In the following days, the police obtained more and more solid evidence.

When all the evidence was laid out before Li Yue, he was finally speechless. His face was pale, and he clearly realized the seriousness of the situation.

"Do you still want to threaten Huo Han now?" the interrogating police asked sarcastically.

Li 537 Yue suppressed his anger and glared at the police with gritted teeth: "You won, but that doesn't mean everything is over."

"Oh, what else do you want?"

"I just want to say that although Huo Han defeated me, he also made countless enemies. He will pay the price, sooner or later."

The interrogating police officer smiled slightly, sorted out the evidence, stood up and walked out of the room.

Huo Han stood at the entrance of the police station, watching from afar as Li Yue was led into the prison van. He knew this wasn't over yet; more troubles and enemies awaited him. But at least now, he had brought a glimmer of justice to this city rife with sin and corruption.

"Are you ready?" Lian Haolong walked up to him and asked.

Huo Han smiled and said, "I'm ready, let's go."

In a dimly lit and luxuriously decorated private club, Huo Han sat on a bright red leather sofa, in front of him was a black marble coffee table filled with high-end smoke.

Sitting opposite him were the leaders of various gangs. Although they had relaxed smiles on their faces, they did not dare to look Huo Han in the eye for too long.

"I heard that you all breathed a sigh of relief after Li Yue was arrested." Huo Han smiled slightly, fiddling with a high-end cigar in his hand.

The gang leaders all smiled, and someone said, "Brother Huo, this time it's all thanks to you. That Li Yue has been arrogant for too long, and someone should have taught him a lesson long ago." Huo Han lightly lit the cigar, took a deep breath, and then slowly exhaled the smoke, and then said, "It's a lesson, but I think things are far from that simple."

As soon as he finished speaking, the atmosphere in the room immediately became tense.

Huo Han pulled out a thick stack of documents, placed them on the table, and pushed them toward the gang leaders. "Here are the evidence of your gangs' involvement in illegal transactions, extortion, drug trafficking, and other misdeeds. I think this should give you a chance to explain, right?"

The gang leaders' faces suddenly turned ugly. They obviously did not expect Huo Han to do this.

"Brother Huo, what do you mean?" A gang leader finally couldn't help but speak.

"My meaning is simple." Huo Han stood up and glanced at them one by one. "I want to clean up this city and turn it into a place no longer dominated by evil. You can choose to cooperate with me or oppose me. But the consequences of opposing me should be clear to you."

"What are you going to do?" asked another gang leader.

"First, you must stop all illegal transactions, and then use all funds involved in these transactions for social charity as the first step in redeeming yourself."

The gang leaders looked at each other, and finally lowered their heads one by one.

"We are willing to cooperate with you, Brother Huo."

Huo Han nodded, seemingly unsurprised by their decision. "Very good. From now on, we will cleanse this city from the inside out. It will no longer be a game of violence and power, but a symbol of justice and fairness."

"What about Li Yue?" a gang leader couldn't help but ask.

"Li Yue," Huo Han smiled slightly, "will receive the punishment he deserves in prison. The police have confirmed that he and his parents were involved in the murder case. He won't appear here again to disrupt our plans."

The gang leaders smiled at each other and said in unison: "Well, to a new beginning, cheers!"

Huo Han picked up the champagne on the table and clinked glasses with them, but his eyes revealed a thoughtful look. He knew that cleaning up the city would not be a matter of a day or a night, nor could it be accomplished by him alone.

The atmosphere in the club suddenly became as if it was on the verge of a critical point. Everyone realized that this seemingly harmonious gathering was actually full of hidden dangers and uncertainties.

Huo Han put down the champagne in front of him, his eyes sharp, like a cold blade.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I hear you say that it was Li Yue who directed you to engage in those illegal transactions and acts of violence. That's an interesting point of view."

The gang leaders exchanged quick glances, their faces filled with embarrassment and unease. Finally, one of them mustered the courage to defend himself and his companions.

"Brother Huo, you know Li Yue is an ambitious man. He often threatens us, saying that if we don't obey him, he will use his power to destroy our business. We have no choice but to cooperate with him."
