Star Journey: Destiny Returns

Night fell quietly, soft moonlight shimmering across the valley, bringing a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. After their fierce battle in the forbidden land, Yunxuan and Yaoyue finally found a suitable campsite to rest. They gathered around a simple campfire, its light gently dancing and casting a soft, warm glow on their faces. The danger in the forbidden land had passed, the Spirit Frost Fruit was safely stored in their packs, and their long journey had just begun.

"This trip is definitely not easy." Yun Xuan sighed as he looked at the dancing flames. "If every 'ultimate delicacy' is as rare as the Spirit Frost Fruit, we'll have to be more thoroughly prepared."

Yao Yue nodded slightly, took a sip of warm water, and after a moment of contemplation, she slowly said, "The Explorers' Guild seems to be coveting 'Supreme Taste'. There was a hint of solemnity in her voice, and she looked into the distance thoughtfully.

Yao Yue remained silent, the firelight flickering in her eyes, stirring up a complex web of emotions. She spoke softly, "But, Yunxuan, this path isn't for everyone. Upon hearing this, Yunxuan raised his gaze to Yaoyue, his tone filled with unquestionable determination: "Yaoyue, no matter what we gain, the journey itself is a process of growth and awakening. Every 'supreme taste' is a gift from heaven and earth, a bridge between us and the world. If we choose to retreat because of unknown dangers, how can we be worthy of the mission entrusted to us by the Star Map?"

Yaoyue lowered her eyes, lost in thought for a long time. She knew Yunxuan's resolve stemmed from his unwavering faith in the star map, while she herself remained hesitant. It wasn't that she disapproved of Yunxuan's convictions, but rather that she felt a lack of certainty within herself, as if, while following her destiny, she had lost control of herself.

The night breeze blew gently, the firelight flickered slightly, stretching their shadows even longer. Yunxuan looked at Yaoyue, a trace of pity and reluctance welling up in his heart, and his tone became gentle: "Yaoyue, I know you have experienced so many twists and turns along the way, and your heart is inevitably shaken. Yunxuan smiled slightly, a soft look in his eyes. "Yaoyue, maybe I'm not fearless, but knowing you're by my side makes me more determined. No matter how many storms lie ahead, I will be there with you to face them together."

A faint smile crossed Yaoyue's face, and the doubts in her heart seemed to ease slightly. She said softly, "Yunxuan, I'm willing to go on with you, but I hope we can be more cautious and think carefully about every step. After all, the threat posed by the Explorers' Guild won't dissipate easily. We need to make a more reliable plan for ourselves and for the Star Chart."

Yunxuan nodded seriously, his eyes filled with understanding and support. "You're right. We do need more thorough planning and preparation. The star map guides us to explore the ultimate taste, but our steps need to be steady."

The two exchanged a smile, and in the light of the fire, it seemed as if the barriers between them were gradually dissolving. Yaoyue quietly made up her mind. Yunxuan and Yaoyue woke up, packed up their camp, and prepared to continue their journey. Just as they reached the mountain path, a familiar face appeared before them—it was one of the explorers who had besieged them in the forbidden area the previous night. Standing nearby, a smile on his face, he seemed to have been waiting for them for a long time.

"It seems you've already harvested the Spirit Frost Fruit." The man had a faint smile on his face, but a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Should we sit down and have a good talk?"

Yun Xuan's eyes turned cold, and he said in a deep voice, "There's nothing to discuss between us. If you keep pestering me, it will only lead to more casualties."

The man, however, showed no sign of anger. Instead, he calmly waved his hand. "I know we were rude last night, but I still want to tell you that the Explorers' Guild is very interested in the star map. Rather than hostility, we can reach some kind of cooperation."

Yao Yue was slightly startled, with a look of vigilance in her eyes. She whispered to Yun Xuan, "Be careful, these people are cunning and scheming, and I'm afraid they have no good intentions."

Yun Xuan nodded and looked at the man coldly, "What is your Explorers Guild's purpose in pursuing the star map? If it's to control power, then our positions are doomed to be hostile."

The man's expression remained unchanged, instead revealing a meaningful smile. "Controlling power? Perhaps. Or perhaps, we're simply interested in the truth behind the star map and 'Supreme Taste'. Think about it, on this perilous journey, having a little help is always better than being surrounded by enemies."

Yun Xuan sneered, his eyes sharp as a knife. "We don't need help. The power of the star map originally belongs to all living things in heaven and earth, and it is not something your guild can manipulate at will. Anyone with ill intentions is our enemy."

Seeing the negotiations were fruitless, the man showed a hint of disappointment on his face, but he quickly regained his composure. He slowly said, "Well, since you're determined, let's wait and see. However, if you encounter us again in the future, I'm afraid it won't just be a test like last night."

He sneered, turned, and gradually disappeared at the end of the mountain path. Yunxuan and Yaoyue exchanged a glance, a hint of determination in each other's eyes.
