The Untamed: Wei Wuxian Reborn as a Child

Chapter 55 Xiaobai's wonderful discovery

Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, and Cangse were walking home with their fox spirit, Xiaobai. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating patches of light. Xiaobai ran happily ahead, occasionally glancing back at his masters.

Suddenly, Xiaobai stopped and barked at a patch of grass. Wei Wuxian walked over curiously, parted the grass, and found two eggs. One was large, the other small. The larger one was slightly darker in color, while the smaller one was pure white like jade.

"Hey, what is this?" Wei Wuxian reached out and picked up the two eggs, looking at them from left to right.

Lan Wangji also walked over, frowned slightly, and looked at the egg in Wei Wuxian's hand.

Zangse smiled and said, "Wuxian, this might be some kind of treasure."

Wei WuXian chuckled, "Maybe something interesting will hatch out of it."

At this moment, Xiaobai circled around Wei Wuxian, as if to say that this was its discovery. Wei Wuxian squatted down and patted Xiaobai's head: "Xiaobai, you are really amazing. This is all thanks to you."

Lan Wangji looked at the egg and said in a deep voice, "The origin of this egg is unknown. Be cautious."

Wei WuXian said nonchalantly, "What are you afraid of? We're here. Besides, it's just two eggs."

Wei Wuxian held the eggs and sensed a faint resentment emanating from the larger one. Slightly startled, he felt it again carefully, making sure he was right.

"Lan Zhan, this big egg is a bit weird. I feel some resentment in it." Wei Wuxian said to Lan Wangji.

Lan Wangji reached out to take the egg, felt it carefully, and nodded: "It is indeed resentful, I wonder what it is."

Cangse was also a little worried: "Wuxian, why don't we not take this egg back? What if it's some evil thing?"

Wei Wuxian shook his head. "Mother, what are you afraid of? With Lan Zhan and I here, are you afraid of not being able to deal with something that hatched from an egg? I want to see what this thing is."

Lan Wangji looked at Wei Wuxian's determined eyes and said nothing more.

The three of them continued walking home with the two eggs. On the way, Wei Wuxian kept muttering to the eggs.

"What on earth are you? I wish you were a cute little animal."

Xiaobai would come over from time to time and sniff the eggs.

After returning home, Wei Wuxian found a warm place and put the two eggs.

"From now on, let's wait and see what these two eggs will hatch." Wei Wuxian said excitedly.

Lan Wangji looked at Wei Wuxian's excitement and shook his head helplessly.

As the days passed, Wei Wuxian would inject spiritual energy and resentment into the two eggs every day. One day, he suddenly felt the resentful egg move.

"Lan Zhan, come quickly! The egg is moving!" Wei Wuxian called out to Lan Wangji excitedly.

Lan Wangji quickly came over and looked at the egg with a hint of surprise in his eyes.

"It looks like the contents of this egg are about to come out," Lan Wangji said.

Wei WuXian rubbed his hands excitedly. “I wonder what it could be? If it’s a powerful creature, we’ll have some fun.”

Zangse heard the noise and came over.

"Wuxian, is this egg really going to hatch something? I hope it's not something dangerous." Zangse said worriedly.

Wei Wuxian comforted her, "Don't worry, Mom. With Lan Zhan and I here, nothing will happen."

As time went on, the egg began to move more and more frequently. Finally, one night, the resentful egg cracked. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji stood by, watching nervously.

The crack grew larger and larger, and a resentment emanated from the egg. Wei Wuxian frowned and clenched his fists tightly.

Suddenly, a small black hand stretched out from the egg. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji exchanged glances, both bracing themselves for action.

Then, a small figure crawled out of the egg. It was a thing that looked like a small monster, all black, with red eyes that exuded resentment.

Wei WuXian looked at the little monster, somewhat surprised: "What the hell is this?"

The little monster looked at Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji with a ferocious expression and made a "woohoo" sound from its mouth.

Wei Wuxian raised his jade flute, ready to respond to the monster's attack at any time. Lan Wangji also drew his Bichen and looked at the monster warily.

At this moment, Xiaobai ran over and called out to the little monster twice. The little monster seemed to be frightened by Xiaobai and shrank back.

Seeing this, Wei WuXian laughed: "Haha, Xiaobai, you are quite impressive."

Lan Wangji looked at the little monster and said in a deep voice, "This is an evil creature and needs to be dealt with as soon as possible."

Wei WuXian shook his head. “Don’t worry, this little monster might have a story. Let’s observe it first.”

In the following days, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji took care of the little monster while trying to understand its origins. Although the little monster was very fierce at first, it gradually became docile under the patient care of Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.

But the little white egg remained motionless. Wei WuXian was a little anxious: "Why hasn't this little white egg hatched yet?"

Lan Wangji looked at the little white egg, thoughtfully saying, "Perhaps the time has not come yet."

As the days passed, the little monster became more and more familiar with Wei Wuxian and the others. One day, the little monster suddenly called out to Wei Wuxian a few times, as if saying something.

Wei WuXian looked at the little monster curiously: "What do you want to say?"

The little monster pointed at the little white egg, then at himself. Wei WuXian seemed to understand something: "You mean what does this little white egg have to do with you?"

The little monster nodded. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji exchanged a glance, each becoming even more curious about the little white egg.

Finally, one sunny day, the little white egg began to stir. It began to wobble slightly, then cracked. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji watched nervously, while Little White cried out excitedly beside them.

A small white bird hatched from the egg. It was very cute, with feathers as white as snow. Wei Wuxian looked at the bird in surprise: "Wow, what a cute little bird."

The bird opened its eyes, looked at Wei Wuxian and the others, and chirped. The little monster showed a happy expression when he saw the bird.

Wei WuXian seemed to understand something: "It seems that this little monster and the bird are related."

Lan Wangji looked at the little monster and the bird and nodded slightly: "Perhaps they have a special mission."
