The Untamed: Wei Wuxian Reborn as a Child

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji walked side by side on a country road. Wei Wuxian held a jar of wine in his hand, taking a sip from time to time, muttering, "Lan Zhan, life is so comfortable these days."

Lan Wangji tilted his head slightly, glanced at Wei Wuxian, and said nothing.

The purpose of their trip was to find Azure Dragon. They had already placed Vermillion Bird, White Tiger, and Black Tortoise in storage. Along the way, Wei Wuxian kept talking, and although Lan Wangji was a quiet man, he would occasionally respond.

One day, they passed by a village. Wei Wuxian looked around curiously and suddenly said, "Lan Zhan, do you think this village is a little strange?"

Lan Wangji stopped and glanced around, "I don't know."

Wei WuXian continued, “Look, there are only men and children in this village, not a single woman.”

As he was speaking, Wei WuXian spotted an old man. He quickly approached him and asked with a grin, "Old man, what kind of village are you from? Why do I only see men?"

The old man looked at the two men holding swords and thought they must be immortals, so he replied respectfully, "Two immortals, our village is called Liuxi Village. Recently, strange things have happened in the village. There is an unknown creature that captures any woman it sees. As a result, the women dare not go out and have all hidden."

Wei WuXian frowned, "Oh? Is there something so strange going on? So you didn't send anyone to investigate?"

The old man sighed, "We wanted to, too, but that thing came and went without a trace, so we have no way of tracking it down. Besides, most of the young and strong men in the village are out hunting, and the only ones left are the elderly, the weak, the sick, and the children."

Wei Wuxian turned to look at Lan Wangji, "Lan Zhan, what do you think?"

Lan Wangji thought for a moment and said, "Let's investigate first."

Wei WuXian nodded, "Okay, then I'll listen to Second Brother Lan."

They walked around the village but didn't find anything unusual. Wei Wuxian was getting impatient. "There's nothing here, Lan Zhan. How about we look somewhere else?"

Lan Wangji shook his head, "Wait a little longer."

Just then, a cry could be heard in the distance. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji exchanged a glance and immediately headed towards the sound. They saw a little boy sitting on the ground, crying, with several other children nearby too frightened to speak.

Wei WuXian walked forward and asked softly, "Little boy, what's wrong with you? Why are you crying?"

The little boy raised his head and looked at Wei WuXian with tearful eyes, "My sister was captured by that monster."

Wei WuXian's heart tightened. "Monster? Did you see what the monster looked like?"

The little boy shook his head. “I didn’t see anything. I only heard my sister’s voice, and then she disappeared.”

Wei Wuxian stood up and said to Lan Wangji, "Lan Zhan, it looks like this monster is still in the village. We need to find it quickly, or more people will suffer."

Lan Wangji nodded, "Separate your groups and search."

Wei Wuxian walked in one direction, while Lan Wangji walked in another. Wei Wuxian kept an eye on his surroundings as he walked. Suddenly, he heard a faint sound of footsteps. He immediately stopped and hid in the bushes nearby.

After a while, a dark shadow flashed by. Wei Wuxian looked closely and saw that the shadow was huge and moving so fast that he couldn't make out what it was. He hurriedly followed it.

The shadow circled the village, finally stopping in front of an abandoned house. Wei WuXian cautiously approached the house and peered through the window. Inside, he saw a woman tied to a pillar, her mouth gagged with cloth, staring around in terror.

Wei Wuxian was about to go in to rescue them when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around and saw Lan Wangji following him. Wei Wuxian made a gesture to silence them and pointed into the house.

Lan Wangji nodded, and the two of them quietly approached the house.

Just as they were about to enter, a dark figure suddenly rushed out of the house. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji quickly drew their swords and attacked. The dark figure saw them, roared, and lunged at them.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji quickly dodged. The shadow was so fast and powerful that they were momentarily unable to resist.

Wei WuXian dodged while saying, "Lan Zhan, what the hell is this thing? Why is it so powerful?"

Lan Wangji frowned, "I don't know."

The shadow lunged at him again. Wei Wuxian suddenly had an idea. He pulled out a talisman from his pocket and threw it at the shadow. The talisman clung to the shadow, emitting a burst of light. The shadow let out a scream and fell to the ground, unable to move.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji walked forward and observed the shadow carefully. The shadow gradually shrank and finally transformed into a black fox. Wei Wuxian exclaimed in surprise, "So it's a fox!"

Lan Wangji looked at the fox, "Why did you capture the woman?"

The fox seemed to understand what they said and made a whining sound.

Wei Wuxian squatted down, looked at the fox and said, "If you can understand what I am saying, just nod your head."

The fox nodded. Wei WuXian continued, "Why did you capture the woman?"

The fox whined again and pointed at his belly with his paw.

Wei WuXian suddenly realized, "You are injured and need a woman's blood to heal?"

The fox nodded. Wei Wuxian stood up and said to Lan Wangji, "Lan Zhan, this fox has no choice. Let's help it."

Lan Wangji nodded slightly.

They took the fox back to the village and found a doctor to treat its wounds. After the fox was healed, it cried out in gratitude to them and then disappeared into the mountains and forests.

The women in the village also came out and expressed their gratitude to Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji.

Wei WuXian smiled and said, "No need to thank us. If you run into any trouble again, just ask the immortal sects for help."

After settling the issues in the village, Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji set out again on their journey to find the Azure Dragon. They believed that as long as they persevered, they would definitely find the Azure Dragon and complete their mission.
