The Untamed: Wei Wuxian Reborn as a Child

Chapter 164 Searching for Xuanwu

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji took Suzaku and Baihu and headed north on a journey to find Xuanwu.

The sun shone on them. Wei Wuxian said excitedly as they walked, "Lan Zhan, what's the difference between this Xuanwu and the Slaughtering Xuanwu?"

Before Lan Wangji could answer, Baihu spoke first, "The Slaughtering Black Tortoise is not a real Black Tortoise, but a fictional mythical beast. To put it simply, it is a creature that failed in its promotion and thus harbored resentment."

Wei WuXian nodded thoughtfully, "So there's this connection!" He then asked curiously, "Do people like you also harbor resentment?"

The Vermilion Bird chirped crisply, then said, "Yes, but it was destroyed a thousand years ago."

Wei WuXian's eyes widened. "Destroyed? Why?"

White Tiger snorted, "Those divine beasts that harbor resentment bring disaster to the world, so they naturally cannot be kept."

Wei WuXian stroked his chin, "Then you must maintain your original intentions and not harbor any resentment."

Suzaku ruffled his feathers, "We won't."

Lan Wangji tilted his head slightly and looked at Wei Wuxian, "Don't talk too much, just focus on your journey."

Wei WuXian chuckled, "I know, Second Brother Lan. But this journey has been so boring, we have to find something to talk about."

They continued on their way, passing through a dense forest. Wei Wuxian looked at the surrounding scenery and exclaimed, "This place is so beautiful! If I didn't have a mission, I'd really like to explore it."

Baihu rolled his eyes at him and said, "You're just too playful."

Wei WuXian said unconvincedly, “Life is short, enjoy it while you can.”

As they walked, they came to a stream. Wei Wuxian squatted down, scooped up some water from the stream with his hands, and washed his face. "Wow, this water is so cool."

Lan Wangji stood aside, looking at him quietly.

Wei Wuxian stood up and shook the water off his hands, "Lan Zhan, why don't you give it a try?"

Lan Wangji shook his head.

Wei WuXian shrugged helplessly, "Well, you're always so serious."

They walked along the stream for a while when they heard a strange sound. Wei Wuxian became alert. "What's that sound?"

White Tiger and Suzaku also looked around vigilantly.

A moment later, a group of little demons rushed out from the woods, pouncing on them with their fangs and claws bared.

Wei Wuxian pulled out his flute and began to play. The sound was melodious and full of power. When the little demons heard the sound, they all stopped in their tracks, their faces etched with pain.

Lan Wangji drew his sword, ready to deal with the little demon's attack at any time.

The White Tiger roared, charging forward and repelling the demons one by one. The Vermillion Bird also circled in the air, spitting out flames, burning the demons and forcing them to flee in all directions.

After a fierce battle, the little demons were finally wiped out. Wei Wuxian wiped the sweat from his forehead, "These little demons are really tough to deal with."

Baihu said: "There will definitely be more dangers along the way, we must be careful."

Wei WuXian nodded, "Understood. Let's go and continue looking for Xuanwu."

They continued to go north, encountering many difficulties along the way, but they overcame them one by one. Finally, they came to a mysterious valley.

A mysterious aura permeated the valley, making one's heart palpitate. Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji stopped and looked around warily.

"Where is this place?" Wei Wuxian asked.

Baihu said: "This may be the habitat of Xuanwu."

Wei WuXian’s eyes lit up, “Really? Then let’s go in and take a look.”

They walked cautiously into the valley, which was filled with strange scenery, exotic flowers and plants, and various mysterious runes.

Wei WuXian looked around curiously, "This place is so magical."

Lan Wangji also frowned slightly, as if thinking about something.

Suddenly, they heard a low roar, a chilling sound coming from the depths of the valley.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji exchanged a glance, then walked towards the source of the noise. As they approached, the roaring grew louder.

Finally, they saw a huge figure. It was a huge black tortoise, emitting a powerful aura.

Wei WuXian's eyes widened. "Is this the Xuanwu? How magnificent!"

Xuanwu looked at them with a hint of vigilance in his eyes.

Wei WuXian quickly said, "We have no ill intentions. We are here to seek your help."

Xuanwu was silent for a moment, then said, "Why are you looking for me?"

Wei Wuxian said, “The world is in trouble, and we need your strength to save it.”

Xuanwu thought for a while, then said: "I can help you, but you must agree to one condition of mine."

Wei WuXian asked, "What are the conditions?"

Xuanwu said, "You have to help me find a lost treasure."

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji exchanged a glance, then nodded in agreement. "Okay, we'll definitely help you find the treasure."

Xuanwu nodded with satisfaction, and then said, "Come with me."

They followed Xuanwu into the depths of the valley, where he told them the whereabouts of the treasure and how to find it.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji listened attentively, their hearts filled with confidence. They knew that this would be a difficult challenge, but they also believed that with their courage and wisdom, they would be able to complete the task.
