Travel through Teyvat and spend your life with Linghua

Chapter 37: End of the Ceremony, Painting Dreams

The two continued to walk inside, but Linghua still couldn't muster any interest.

The two stopped in front of the busiest snack street.

"Linghua, be cheerful. I believe man can conquer nature. Nothing will happen with me here. Let's go get something to eat."

Linghua nodded slightly, but before she could say anything, Xinyang pulled her into the snack street.

There are so many vendors along the way selling a wide variety of snacks that it’s hard to keep up.

Xinyang gently patted the back of Linghua's hand and said, "It turns out that Inazuma has so many snacks. Can you recommend some to me?"

Linghua leaned close to Xinyang's ear and whispered, "Hey, you know I rarely eat these things, how would I know which ones are delicious?"

"That's right. You should have asked your brother when you came out. He always appears serious and won't let you eat these, but when he's alone, he always eats them secretly. There are quite a lot of people here. Just wait here obediently. What do you want to eat? I'll buy it for you."

"Stop criticizing my brother all the time. It's not good if others hear you." Linghua's face showed a hint of displeasure, and she sighed softly. But soon, Linghua's eyes were full of trust again. "Just buy whatever you like. I trust the chef's taste."

"Okay, I'll pay attention next time. You just wait here and don't move. I'll be back soon." Xinyang said as he squeezed into the crowded crowd.

In his mind, the only snack in Inazuma that seemed famous was the three-colored dango. After much effort, Xinyang finally squeezed his way to a food stall, only to be surprised to find no three-colored dango. He stood on tiptoe, straining his gaze, hoping to find the coveted dango among the numerous stalls. However, the nearest three-colored dango was three stalls away, leaving Xinyang feeling a wave of despair.

But since he had already squeezed in, he couldn't leave empty-handed. Xinyang reluctantly bought some red cherry cakes and egg omelets, feeling a little disappointed.

Finally bought the tri-color dumplings! Xinyang felt relieved and turned around excitedly. But at this moment, he suddenly found that Linghua was gone! Xinyang's heart sank instantly, and he looked around anxiously.

"Linghua" couldn't be found, Xinyang could only shout looking for her. Thinking of the fortune she had just drawn, Xinyang's mood dropped to freezing point. Xinyang frantically asked people around him about Linghua's news. As a public figure in Inazuma, everyone in Inazuma knew Linghua, so it was not difficult to find out Linghua's whereabouts.

After questioning three people in succession, Xin Yang became increasingly anxious. He learned that Ling Hua seemed to be attracted by something and left the place.

"Kidnapped?" Xinyang's heart sank as a sense of foreboding washed over him. In crowded places, it was easy for children to get separated from their families, and if someone with ulterior motives showed up at that moment, the consequences would be disastrous.

Time was running out, and Xinyang didn't dare delay. He quickly leaped onto a nearby tree and activated the wind element. A gentle breeze gradually picked up, and he focused his attention, carefully sensing every direction. Finally, in a corner not far away, he spotted Linghua. But what made him nervous was that there were several people surrounding her.

Xin Yang cried out inwardly, his suspicions growing more certain. He didn't care if it would cause panic, as he stepped on the air with his left foot and flew towards Ling Hua at breakneck speed.

Xinyang landed beside Linghua as quickly as justice descended from heaven. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he immediately assumed a fighting stance as if facing a formidable enemy.

"Linghua, are you okay? Don't be afraid, I'm here!" Xinyang called out with concern, his voice filled with determination and protection. His eyes were as sharp as a sword, staring at the man in front of him, ready to attack at any moment.

Linghua hurriedly stopped Xinyang, her face filled with anxiety and worry. "Don't be impulsive. He's a ninja from the final mission. He's here to report something important."

Upon hearing Linghua's explanation, Xinyang quickly retracted his fist, but his eyes were still filled with dissatisfaction and complaints. "What news is so important that you couldn't tell me in person? And you even hid it from me, going to such a remote place to tell me secretly? Do you know how anxious I was when I came back and didn't see you?" His voice was filled with a hint of grievance and concern.

The final ninja quickly explained: "We didn't mean to hide it from you. It's just a special situation and I can't report it in a crowded place. Also, it just so happens that you haven't come back, so the young lady came here with me first." There was a bit of sincerity and helplessness in his tone, hoping that Xinyang could understand their difficulties.

Linghua also hurried to help explain: "I really didn't mean it. I wanted to tell you too. But I didn't see where you were, so I thought it was just a piece of news and it wouldn't take too much time, so..." Her voice became smaller and smaller, and her eyes revealed guilt and uneasiness, as if she regretted her behavior.

Xinyang's expression gradually softened. Looking at Linghua, the discontent in his eyes gave way to understanding and tolerance. He sighed softly and said, "Okay, I was a little impulsive. Next time, if anything happens, be sure to tell me in advance and don't make me worry like this." Although there was still a hint of complaint in his tone, it was more of a concern and love for Linghua.

Linghua nodded vigorously, "Yes, I definitely won't do that again."

The final ninja continued to report, "Lord Yae-jo really liked the fireworks prepared by Yoshinomiya and asked Ayaka to help thank Yoshinomiya. The Shogun was also very satisfied with the festival and wanted to commend the company's official."

Just because of this little thing, such a huge mistake had happened. Xinyang's mood plummeted instantly, and her excitement was extinguished. She no longer had the heart to continue visiting the festival. Linghua seemed to want to make up for it. She pulled Xinyang to the back of the festival as if to please her.

Arriving at a stall selling ema, Linghua's eyes sparkled with anticipation. She coquettishly said, "Don't be angry, okay? This ema is a tradition of the Inazuma people. They write or draw their wishes on it, praying for them to come true. Come with me and take a look, okay?" There was a hint of pleading in her voice, making it impossible to refuse.

Xinyang looked at Linghua's lovely appearance, and the dissatisfaction in his heart gradually dissipated. He sighed helplessly, took the ema handed to him by the boss, and thought about what to draw on it. He closed his eyes and recalled the time when he took a walk with Linghua. So, he drew a scene of two little people sitting together watching the sunrise on the ema.

Almost simultaneously, the two finished their ema. Together, they hung them on the ema stand. Linghua's ema stood in stark contrast to Xinyang's. Xinyang gazed curiously at Linghua's ema, which depicted five people. Linghua smiled and explained, "I hope the five of us—you, my brother, Thomas, and mother—can be safe and happy. This is my greatest wish, and I hope it will come true." Her eyes revealed a deep attachment to her family and a beautiful hope for the future.

Xinyang gently held Linghua's hand: "I definitely will."
