Practice begins with immortality

Of the 108 Daoist sects in this world, the 36 Great Sects each controlled a vast dynasty. These dynasties, with histories stretching back seven thousand years, were believed to be ancient and would continue to exist until the end of time.

But few people know that the oldest of the so-called thirty-six major sects has only existed for a little over ten thousand years. So what was the world like tens of thousands of years ago?

The answer is that the world at that time was ruled by 365 god-worshiping tribes, and each tribe had its own god to worship, just like the Taoist emperor today.

However, unlike the Dao Lords who had ascended through cultivation, the worshippers appeared suddenly. Along with numerous meteors streaking across the sky, numerous and bizarrely shaped statues of gods suddenly appeared on the earth.

At that time, human society was still in its ignorant and barbaric age. But when people began to worship these statues, a miracle happened - they actually felt an unprecedented powerful force surging into their bodies!

Unlike traditional cultivation methods, gaining power through worshipping deities does not require the pain of physical training or the loneliness of meditation. Simply performing a simple ritual can easily grant one superhuman powers. How could one not be tempted by such an effortless means of acquiring extraordinary strength?

In this way, humanity, still in its primitive state, followed suit, leveraging the power bestowed by the statues to rapidly rise. Within a mere millennium, the once barren world was now filled with human footprints. In order to satisfy their ever-expanding desires and ambitions, the tribes not only fought each other with force, but also took prisoners of war and criminals as slaves and offered them as sacrificial victims to the gods in order to obtain more protection and greater power.

After a long period of bloody fighting and cruel competition, only 365 of the most powerful tribes survived.

At this moment, something unexpected happened. One day, a strange being, shimmering with silvery-white lightning, suddenly appeared. Like a demon from ancient times, this being possessed terrifying power to annihilate the world. Upon its arrival, it began attacking powerful tribes, leaving ruin and death wherever it went.

Faced with this sudden disaster, humanity was powerless to fight back. The creature, upon its appearance, devoured entire tribes. Its lightning bolts were unstoppable, and in a single moment, it had annihilated half the tribe.

Afterwards, the creature seemed to be resting after a full meal and found a place to fall asleep. But the humans went crazy because the power they gained from offering sacrifices to the statue was far less than that of the creature.

In a frenzy, humanity began the most massive and bloodiest sacrifice: 70% of the remaining humans were driven onto the altar and slaughtered along with the animals as sacrifices. The power gained from this sacrifice was infused into the strongest human being at the time.

Humanity believed that this would allow them to fight and even destroy the demonic god, but alas, it was still just a flash of lightning, and the strongest being they had high hopes for died. Humanity was completely despairing.

However, just when everyone else thought that the end was about to come, the horrible creature disappeared without a trace without any warning, leaving behind the devastated earth and a few surviving humans.

After it disappeared, those who had escaped the disaster hid themselves and emerged from their holes in the ground and began to reproduce again...

At the center of the world, there is a huge mountain range that is suspended in the air, and beneath the mountain is the sea.

Inside the inner meridians lies an alien dimension. This alien dimension is like a mausoleum. With this spatial world as a tomb, who is buried in this tomb?

In the main chamber of the mausoleum, there was a coffin nearly 100,000 feet long. The coffin was as black as ink, and seemed to be made of crystal stone, completely natural.

With such a huge coffin, the person buried inside must have been extremely huge as well, right?

The next moment, accompanied by a slight fluctuation, the coffin actually opened a gap.

In the next instant, three jets of inky black demonic energy suddenly gushed out from the narrow gap! These three demonic energies twisted and turned in the air like three nimble black snakes, and then quickly condensed into three different, creepy creatures.

The first thing that caught my eye was the creature on the left. Its body was bloated and obese, like a giant ball, its limbs short but unusually strong, and each hand and foot had four fingers and toes. Looking at the creature in the middle, its stature was extremely short, like a stunted dwarf. However, in stark contrast to its diminutive stature was its immense head. This head was so absurdly large that it seemed as if it would collapse under its own weight at any moment. Even more astonishing was the fact that upon the front of this enormous head lay three distinct faces, each exuding a sinister and terrifying aura.

Finally, I looked at the creature on the right. Compared to the previous two, it looked slightly more "normal"—a mere bluish-black skeleton. Even so, a strong aura of death emanated from it, and faint flickering lights flickered in its hollow eye sockets. But in comparison, perhaps it truly was the most "normal" of the three bizarre creatures.
