Practice begins with immortality

Chapter 29: 4 years, full of energy

As Wang Bai gained a preliminary understanding of the world of immortal cultivation, he decided to practice the "Qi Refining Art".

The Art of Refining Qi is divided into thirteen levels, corresponding to the thirteen small realms of the Qi Refining period. It is the most widely spread and basic practice in the world of immortal cultivation. Its characteristics are that it is moderate and peaceful, and it can be freely transferred to other practices.

It also contains the most basic five elements techniques, namely sharp gold technique, wood spirit technique, water control technique, fire sacrifice technique and earth and stone technique.

After reading the exercises, Wang Bai carefully took out a crystal clear spirit stone from his arms, held it in his hand, then closed his eyes, took a deep breath, adjusted his breathing and mentality, and prepared to start practicing.

As time went by, Wang Bai gradually entered a state of emptiness, and his soul began to extend outward, trying to resonate with the spiritual energy of the surrounding heaven and earth.

However, although he could easily sense the presence of spiritual energy, he was unable to introduce it into his body.

One day, two days, three days... Days passed, and Wang Bai persisted in his daily practice, constantly trying various methods to guide the spiritual energy into his body. But no matter how hard he tried, the mysterious spiritual energy was always like a naughty child, jumping and playing around him, but refusing to enter his body.

Just like that, half a month passed, and Wang Bai still had no trace of spiritual energy in his body. He sighed helplessly, feeling a sense of loss in his heart. "It seems that I don't have any spiritual roots." He said with some regret.

You know, even the worst low-grade spiritual roots should be able to draw some spiritual energy into the body after half a month of cultivation. But now, he couldn't draw even a trace of spiritual energy, which undoubtedly meant that he might really have no spiritual roots.

However, Wang Bai was not discouraged by this. Although he had no spiritual roots, he could still become a cultivator.

"It's just that I don't have spiritual roots. I will enter the Tao through martial arts." Wang Bai said calmly.

"The innate warrior recorded in the stories filled his own meridians with innate true qi, and his aptitude was of the highest quality after he entered the Dao. If I can fill my entire body with innate true qi and then enter the Dao, my aptitude might be able to reach the highest level." Wang Baixia thought.

For Wang Bo, possessing the light ball allowed him to use secret techniques to increase his innate true qi without wasting it. He then told Zhang Yuanchang that he was going to practice in seclusion, and that he should not come to him unless it was something urgent.

Days passed one by one, and in the blink of an eye, four years had passed. After this period of hard training, Wang Bai's innate true qi was not far from the point of flowing through his entire body.

But somehow, although he couldn't achieve the level of Qi flowing through his whole body, he was still able to increase his innate true Qi by using the secret technique. The increased innate true Qi did not increase its quantity, but improved its quality. His grayish-white innate true Qi was gradually turning pure white.

Another day passed, and Wang Bai finished his practice. Suddenly, he felt something in his mind, and then he looked inward. He saw that the innate true energy in his body became completely pure white, and filled his whole body, reaching everywhere.

"The Qi flows through my body. I finally succeeded!" Wang Bai said excitedly. He then circulated his innate Qi according to the Qi Refining Technique and began to enter the Dao.

Wang Bai's innate true energy began to continuously flow into his flesh, blood, tendons and bones, constantly transforming his body. Finally, it was like a new life. Wang Bai's temperament became as outstanding as a banished immortal.

When Wang Bai completed his own transformation, the spiritual energy of the surrounding heaven and earth rushed into Wang Bai's Dantian frantically, and he continued to refine Qi at the first level, the second level... and finally stopped at the fourth level. But Wang Bai could feel that it was because the spiritual energy of heaven and earth was thin. If the spiritual energy was abundant, he could directly break through to the middle stage of Qi Refining.
