Practice begins with immortality

Three days later, an enormous metal warship was quietly floating in the starry sky. The warship was pitch black, with mysterious runes flickering on it, like a silent giant.

A number of powerful Divine Transformation masters had gathered on the battleship's deck. They hailed from various planets, some clad in ornate robes, others in simpler attire, but without exception, they all exuded a powerful aura. These Divine Transformation masters stood or sat, maintaining a distance from one another, occasionally exchanging whispers.

Half a minute later, there was a loud noise, and a crack suddenly appeared in the sky. Then the figure of an old woman slowly fell from the crack. This person was the lecturer this time.

Seeing that the time had come, the old woman didn't care whether anyone hadn't arrived yet, but began to speak directly: "My fellow Taoists, today I will be explaining the cultivation methods of the cultivators of the Dongji Galaxy. As everyone knows, the cultivation methods of our Dongji Galaxy cultivators are mostly related to those of the Dongdou lineage. The cultivation methods I practice are adapted from a portion of the Cangling Sutra. Although it is only a part of it, it is still of great value to the Divine Transformation Masters present here. I hope everyone will listen carefully and gain inspiration from it."

The old woman's voice echoed across the deck, and everyone listened intently. She then explained in detail the techniques she practiced and shared her insights from the process. Although these contents were not the complete Cang Ling Sutra, the profound meaning within them still benefited the many Divine Transformation Masters present.

After explaining the exercises, the old woman began to talk about the relevant knowledge about the power of laws.

“…The power of law originates from all things in the universe. It is an invisible rule and order.”

"Generally speaking, the more laws a cultivator comprehends, the greater their strength. Of course, nothing is absolute. Some cultivators choose to focus on a single law, cultivating it to perfection. Just like a sword cultivator within the Path of War, who cultivates only the laws of the sword, achieving the state of being able to break all laws with a single sword. This focused practice can also make a cultivator a formidable force within their realm."

"And the mastery of the power of laws is related to whether a cultivator can normally break through to the Void Refining Stage."

“…Are there abnormal ways to break through the Void Refinement Realm?” someone couldn’t help but ask curiously.

The old woman glanced at the man and said slowly, "Of course, there is a way to break through called Hetian. It is to find an already formed world, merge oneself with it, and become a being called a Earth Immortal."

"What! How can it be like this?" Everyone was suddenly in an uproar.

The old woman chuckled and continued, "However, if you use this method to break through, not only will you be trapped in the world, but it will also be difficult to break through in the future."

"The strength of an Earth Immortal is related to the world it merges with. Most Earth Immortals are at the bottom of the Refining Void strength scale, unless the one they merge with is an artificial world that has merged a large number of worlds."

"As for merging the great worlds, that's impossible. Even creating an artificial great world is wishful thinking!"

Hearing this, some people had some thoughts. Although this breakthrough method called Hetian had some flaws, it gave them a glimmer of hope and was a way out. After all, breaking through to the Refining Void stage was extremely difficult, and many people who reached the Spiritual Transformation stage might not even reach the Spiritual Transformation Perfection stage.

"So what's the normal way to break through?"

"The normal method of cultivation is to imitate the natural world, using the small world contained within oneself as the foundation, and then sublimate it into the world."

"And the so-called comprehension of laws is actually a form of imitation of nature. Generally speaking, when a cultivator successfully comprehends the four fundamental laws of earth, fire, wind, and water, he or she is qualified to strive for the realm of refining emptiness."

"However, some cultivators choose to achieve breakthroughs by comprehending the laws of the five elements: gold, wood, water, fire, and earth. At a higher level, there are cultivators who have comprehended the laws of time or space."

"However, even if they all break through to the Refining Void Realm, the inner worlds they sublimate into are different for each person, so there are many different types. For example, the inner world sublimated by a cultivator who focuses on the Way of Fire is called the Flame Realm; the inner world sublimated by a cultivator who excels in the Way of Sword is named the Sword Realm; and the inner world sublimated by a cultivator who is proficient in the Way of Ice is called the Frost Realm, and so on."

"Of course, in addition to these common inner worlds, there are also some unique secret methods and magical means in this world that can help cultivators gain a wider, or even multiple, inner worlds."

"The most well-known of these is a method called 'Scenery'."

"It originates from the derivation and evolution of the true meaning and can vividly display the inner world of a living being. It is no exaggeration to say that it is the inner spiritual world of the monk."
