Ito Kakufumi said in a deep voice, "Judging from this information, this ghost not only possesses extremely high skill, but also acts ruthlessly. Everyone who has seen him is dead; no one has survived!"

"More importantly, he also possesses exceptional stealth abilities; he is not only proficient in close-quarters combat with melee weapons, but also wields a type of firearm you have never seen before."

"Given the destructive power of such firearms, I don't think I could survive if I kept my distance. To kill him, I would have to fight him in close combat, but someone skilled in stealth would easily see through my invisibility."

"Therefore, we can't use conventional methods to deal with him! Section Chief Sakata, arrange a completely new identity for me, an ordinary soldier in the 19th Military Police Corps. Starting tomorrow, I will be serving in the 19th Military Police Corps in an ordinary soldier's uniform!"

"By doing this, I can not only hide myself, but also keep myself close to those who have been captured. Whether Ghost makes his move at the 19th Military Police Headquarters, on his way to the execution ground, or even at the execution ground, I can stop him immediately!"

Sakata Tadayoshi smiled upon hearing this, clapped his hands, and said, "Master Ito is indeed brilliant! We'll do it your way! I'll arrange your new identity!"

"In order to avoid arousing suspicion from those with ulterior motives, I plan to coordinate with the Military Police Headquarters to switch the locations of the 13th Military Police Unit and the 19th Military Police Unit. However, those dock gang members will remain imprisoned in their original locations, and your new identity will be that of an ordinary military policeman in the 13th Military Police Unit!"

"A brand-new military police unit is assigned to guard the dock gang. Even if someone tries to investigate, they won't check your identity. People will only care about the size of the unit, the shift change times, and the patrol intervals!"

Ito Kakufumi nodded with satisfaction: "As expected of Section Chief Sakata, who works in intelligence, you are very quick-witted. I only mentioned a little bit of my idea, and you have already thought of many details!"

Sakata Tadayoshi immediately stood up and said to Ito Kakufumi, "There's no time to lose. I'll arrange your new identity right now. You can rest here today; no one will disturb you. I'll send someone to bring you food and drinks at noon and in the evening. I'll pick you up at seven tomorrow morning and arrange for you to go to the 13th Military Police Unit."

"Then I'll have to trouble you!" Ito Kakubun bowed slightly.

After having lunch at Hongfu Tea House, Ma Dazhi left first.

Zhang Yunhe and Ai Cao lingered in her room for more than two hours before he was about to leave.

"When will you come again?" Ai Cao asked reluctantly.

Zhang Yunhe stroked her pretty face and said, "I've been coming over every day during the day these past few days, but I usually don't come at night!"

Ai Cao's face immediately brightened. "Great! I'll have the kitchen prepare some of your favorite dishes for lunch tomorrow!"

“Okay!” Zhang Yunhe agreed.

"Let me see you out!" Ai Cao said, following him.

After leaving Hongfu Teahouse, Zhang Yunhe did not call a rickshaw or take a tram. Instead, he found an empty alley, took out a car from his backpack, and drove onto the main street.

Before leaving, Ma Dazhi gave him a new identity document. This new identity was that of a junior section chief in the Health and Relief Department under the French Concession Municipal Council. With this official identity, he would generally not be harassed by the Japanese soldiers at the border checkpoints when he went to the International Settlement.

Sure enough, when he drove to a checkpoint at the border between the French Concession and the International Settlement, his car was stopped by Japanese soldiers at the checkpoint. When one of the soldiers checked his identification and saw that he was an official of the French Concession Municipal Council, he immediately let him go.

After the car passed through the International Settlement, it took another ten minutes or so to reach the vicinity of the Yangjiahang 19th Gendarmerie's headquarters.

There were Japanese soldiers standing guard at the entrance of the 19th Military Police Headquarters. Zhang Yunhe dared not park the car too close, fearing that it would arouse the suspicion of the Japanese soldiers. At the intersection about 200 meters away from the 19th Military Police Headquarters, Zhang Yunhe stopped under a big tree by the roadside.

He turned off the car, pulled up the curtain, took out the Ironblood computer, put it on his arm, and opened a 3D virtual holographic image to explore the terrain and personnel situation of the 19th Military Police Station.

As the virtual screen appeared, the architectural structure of the Japanese 19th Military Police Headquarters, the Japanese sentries inside and outside the buildings, patrolling soldiers, resting soldiers, civilian staff, and the 72 dock gang members imprisoned in the cells were all displayed on the screen.

"The Japanese soldiers, including combat personnel, civilian and logistical staff, totaled 68 people, which is consistent with the intelligence provided by Ma Dazhi. The various markings on the map also match the actual terrain!"

Zhang Yunhe didn't plan to take action immediately today. After all, it was broad daylight, and even if he wiped out all the Japanese soldiers stationed at the 19th Military Police Headquarters, these 72 dock gang members wouldn't escape. There were too many people, too many targets, and Japanese checkpoints everywhere.

Zhang Yunhe came here for two reasons: first, to investigate the guarding situation and the surrounding terrain in preparation for the rescue operation; and second, to see if the Special Higher Police had prepared any other "feast" besides a small squad of Japanese military police guarding the place.

"Could there be a basement here hiding a large number of soldiers and heavy weapons? Could Sakata Tadayoshi have recruited someone who is both highly skilled in martial arts and proficient in ninjutsu?"

There's no rush to save people; the Japanese won't execute these people for another two weeks, so a couple more days won't make a difference.

Zhang Yunhe decided that he would spend at least three to five days observing the area. If the Special Higher Police had prepared a grand feast here and nearby, he should be able to discover some clues within those three to five days.

Zhang Yunhe stayed until it got dark before driving away.

He parked his car in a secluded spot, then drove the landing craft back to Hong Kong Island.

Shortly after nightfall, Special Higher Police Chief Tadayoshi Sakata first went to the Military Police Headquarters to find Sato, gave Ito Kakubun a new identity, and then asked Sato to order the 13th Military Police Unit and the 19th Military Police Unit to exchange locations the next morning.

Sakata Tadayoshi's first step in his plan was complete, and he breathed a slight sigh of relief as he emerged from the military police headquarters building.

After getting on the bus, he closed his eyes.

The driver started the car, turned around and asked, "Section Chief, home or back to the Special Higher Police?"

Sakata Tadayoshi opened his eyes and said, "To the 13th Army Headquarters!"

The driver was somewhat surprised, but he still agreed and drove the car toward the headquarters of the 13th Army.

The car drove for half an hour to reach the entrance of the 13th Army headquarters, but was stopped by soldiers on guard at the gate.

"I am Tadayoshi Sakata of the Special Higher Police. This is my identification. I have urgent business to attend to and request to see Commander Sawada." After getting off the car, Tadayoshi Sakata took out his identification and handed it to the Japanese soldier who stopped the car.

After checking their identification, the Japanese soldiers went to the guardhouse to call the commander's office.

"Section Chief Sakata, Commander Sawada invites you in!" The sentry returned the identification to Sakata Tadayoshi and waved for his comrade to let him through.

In the commander's office, Tadayoshi Sakata met Kaname Sawada.

Sawada Kazuki gestured for Sakata Tadayoshi to sit on the sofa and said, "You've come at a good time. I'm leaving for the Zhejiang-Jiangxi front at 7 a.m. tomorrow. If you come again tomorrow, you won't be able to find me. So, what brings you here now?"
