"I know who you are and why you are here."

He Wan said, "Do you know I'm a demon?"

"Of course, the lotus platform can illuminate the essence of all things."

Huikong didn't seem surprised by the demon.

If you can't let go of your obsession, you will be disturbed by it and become obsessed.

One thought becomes a Buddha, one thought becomes a devil.

Buddha is originally a devil, and the devil is also Buddha. They are two sides of the same coin, and light and darkness coexist.

"Your obsession is too strong, and therefore you are possessed by the devil."

Master Huikong took He Wan to a meditation room and poured her a cup of fig tea.

The small yellow fruit floated in the water for a while and then sank to the bottom of the bowl.

"Look at this fig. Although it's called 'flowerless,' it's not really flowerless. The flowers are just hidden inside the fruit, so the beauty is not visible from the outside."

"Ordinary plants bloom first and then bear fruit, but figs have both flowers and fruit in one."

He Wan asked bluntly, "Master, are you trying to tell me that I should let go of my attachment to appearances and see the truth directly?"

Huikong said, "'The present moment is the present moment.' You have a connection with the Buddha, so why dwell on the past?"

"The root of a person's suffering is nothing more than excessive obsession," Huikong said. "All appearances are false."

He Wan smiled upon hearing this, then picked up the cup of fig tea and watched the ripples on the surface of the tea:

"Master, since you said I'm too obsessed, you know this obsession is the driving force behind my survival."

"Everything in the world blooms before bearing fruit. As for what flowers to bloom and what fruits to bear, it is up to me to decide. Master, there is no need to dissuade me."

Huikong sighed and said, "Since the client has made his decision, I won't say much more."

Buddha only saves those who are destined to be saved, and it seems that He Wan is not that person.

He Wan drank the tea in one gulp and said, "I hope the master can introduce me to Master Quechen. I want to learn the art of formation from him."

Huikong drank a cup of tea leisurely, then said slowly, "Are you looking for Quechen? He just went to Yuedu a while ago."

The monks on Mount Xumi would indeed often go to the mortal world to preach and chant scriptures, helping to promote the prevalence of Buddhism.
