Quick Wear: Reversing Life

Chapter 46 The Ballet Goddess Who Ended School Bullying (14)

Hou Yue raised her head and looked at the person whose name she had heard countless times.

The boy had fair skin, a calm expression, and wore a pair of half-framed glasses. He stood tall and straight, like a pine tree. He discussed the topic with his classmates in a calm tone and sat down in his usual seat.

The high school teacher in charge of the competition also came in and distributed the test papers.

"The competition is coming up soon, so I brought a set of more difficult questions today."

There was a wailing from below.

A few boys who were looking for difficulty were rubbing their hands excitedly.

"Stop howling! Let's see how many questions you can get right." The teacher said as he counted out the papers and handed them out, "These are questions from last year's national competition. I'm just giving them to scare you, haha."

Hou Yue received the test paper and wrote down her name and class as usual. After looking through it, she found that most of the questions were beyond the syllabus and much more difficult than those in the usual exams.

After the second period of evening self-study, the teacher asked everyone to stop writing and collected the papers.

The test consisted of sixteen questions: five multiple-choice questions, five fill-in-the-blank questions, and six calculation questions. It was difficult, and many people didn't finish it. Some only answered one or two of the larger questions.

"Teacher, these questions are too abnormal."

"God of Study, you haven't finished writing everything, have you?" someone asked Song Qi.

"I haven't finished the second sub-question of the last question." Song Qi replied.

"Oh my god, you've already finished the last one? What a pace."

The teacher only corrected the big questions, then asked a girl to write the answers to the multiple-choice questions and fill-in-the-blank questions on the blackboard, and distributed the test papers so that everyone could check the answers and mark them themselves.

"The full score of the test is 200. Does anyone have a score above 130?"

"No way, I can't even finish writing it."

The teacher looked at Song Qi and asked, "Song Qi, how much are you?"

"173."

"Fuck you, I don't even have a hundred."

"As expected of you, God of Study."

The teacher nodded in satisfaction, walked over to Song Qi's desk, flipped through Song Qi's paper, then frowned and said, "You lost five points for this question? Why do I remember correcting a paper with full marks for this question?"

The teacher looked up and asked the students around him who were discussing the questions: "Who among you has solved question 14?"

Everyone looked at each other and no one answered.

"Teacher." Hou Yue raised her hand.

Seeing that it was a girl she didn't know, the teacher came over and picked up Hou Yue's paper: "162, well, that's OK."

The people sitting in the front were shocked and exclaimed, "Awesome!" Song Qi also turned around and looked at Hou Yue who was sitting in the corner.

"You didn't answer the last big question?" The teacher glared at him and flipped through the previous questions. "Well, you got all the multiple-choice questions right, but you got one fill-in-the-blank wrong."

The people around were even more shocked. I got the multiple-choice questions right! Two of the multiple-choice questions were multiple-choice questions!

There are few girls studying science, even fewer girls who can participate in competitions, and even fewer girls who can win awards in major competitions.

Everyone looked at the girl in front of them. The girl had a fair face, delicate features, and an elegant and calm temperament. When she sat quietly in the corner, her presence was not strong, but once people noticed her, there was no way to look away.

Unexpectedly, this girl who just arrived tonight, such a beautiful girl, has thinking ability that is no less than that of the award-winning academic genius Song Qi.

Everyone's eyes turned towards her differently, and the few girls who were there seemed to be proud of it. Who says girls can't be as good as boys in physics?

"From Class 7?" The teacher glanced at the top of the paper. "Hou Yue, ah—you're the one your teacher Yu was talking about. You were only one or two points away from a perfect score in physics on this monthly exam? Not bad, you have a good brain."

The teacher walked back to the podium and began to prepare to explain some questions that had a lot of mistakes.

After evening self-study, the teacher asked everyone to go home, finish the test paper and check the answers themselves.

After packing up their things, the teacher called Hou Yue and Song Qi.

Handing two test papers to the two people, the teacher said, "When you have time, do this one too. This is also the national competition paper, and it's a little harder than tonight's. If you don't understand, come to my office and ask me anytime."

...

On Saturday afternoon, Hou Yue went to the school's training room and worked diligently on a complete set of test papers with other classmates. This set of test papers was the theoretical test questions of the 19 National Physics Competition Finals. There were no multiple-choice questions or fill-in-the-blank questions, only calculation questions.

When the results came out, Hou Yue and Song Qi had similar scores. The teacher in charge of the competition group made an exception and allowed Hou Yue to join and participate in the city competition four days later.

After school at five o'clock, a girl walked to Hou Yue's desk and asked her how to solve the third question.

"I don't quite understand what the teacher just said." The girl said shyly, "I saw you got full marks on the third question, so I wanted to ask you something."

The third question in this test paper is actually a little more difficult than the following ones.

Hou Yue took the girl's paper, looked at her answer, and then said, "The stem of this question is very long, and some of the information given is actually distracting. The important information is all in the formula given in the stem."

Hou Yue pointed to the stem of the second question and said, "This question requires an expression for the gravitational acceleration g0 of the superconducting gravimeter against the Earth. The previous question also gave the parameters of g0. So when the superconducting thin ring is stationary in the plane of the upper coil, the upward Ampere force exerted on it by the radial magnetic field exactly balances its gravity. Do you know this?"

The girl nodded.

Hou Yue was scribbling on a piece of paper as she said, "So we can derive this formula, and then add the conditions given in the question to get g0."

Hou Yue’s words were concise and clear, and the girls understood them immediately.

"In fact, as long as the parameters of the quasi-Helmhotz superconducting coil and the suspended superconducting ring are known, this can be obtained through measurement," said Hou Yue.

"Hou Yue, you're amazing!" The girl said with admiration, "My name is Yu Tiantian, and I'm in Class 1."

"Hello." Hou Yue smiled slightly, her crescent-shaped eyes seemed to have starlight, and the girl was captured at once.

The girl started chatting with Hou Yue while cleaning up: "This is the first time I've met someone as smart as Song Qi."

Hou Yue lowered her eyes and packed her schoolbag. "Is that so? I don't know him very well. I just heard the teacher talk about him a lot."

The two walked out of the classroom side by side.

"Yes, he's really different from ordinary people. He's always been top of the class since he entered high school," Yu Tiantian said. "Aside from answering some questions, he rarely chats with others."

"That's it."

When I walked out of the classroom, I saw Chen Yu walking towards me and talking to a boy.

Chen Yu also saw Hou Yue and greeted her: "Hou Yue, why are you at school on Saturday?"

"Aren't you the same?" Hou Yue asked back.

Chen Yu smiled and said, "I'm in the math competition team and I come to practice every Saturday."

Hou Yue nodded.

"What about you?"

Hou Yue said, "Me too."

Chen Yu was surprised. He exchanged glances with the boy next to him, then looked at Hou Yue and Yu Tiantian. "That's amazing! I didn't expect your grades to be so good. What subjects did you get?"

"She's from the physics department." Yu Tiantian answered for Hou Yue: "Hou Yue is very smart, comparable to Song Qi."

When Song Qi was mentioned, he was seen walking out of an office with a stack of papers in his hand. When he heard his name, he turned around and looked at the four people in the corridor.

Yu Tiantian and Song Qi were in the same class, so she greeted Song Qi.

"Old Qin gave you so many papers again."

Song Qi hummed in response. He saw Hou Yue next to Yu Tiantian and walked over to her, handing her a few test papers. "Teacher Qin said to write them when you have time."

After handing the test paper to Hou Yue, Song Qi left immediately.

Everyone looked at Song Qi's back as he left, and the boy who was walking with Chen Yu whispered, "He's Song Qi."

Chen Yu smiled and said, "I often see him in the commendation column. Today is the first time I see him in person. He is quite unique."

When the four of them walked to the school gate, they saw Li Zijun standing under the shade of a tree outside the school. There was a girl next to her holding an umbrella for her, and the two were chatting.

The girl saw Chen Yu and patted Li Zijun's arm. Li Zijun turned around, smiled with surprise, and waved at Chen Yu.

"Chen Yu——"

Chen Yu noticed Li Zijun and walked over.

Before Li Zijun could smile for long, he saw Hou Yue behind Chen Yu.
