Oritis in the world of Detective Conan

Chapter 68 The Collision of Red and Black (Part 4)

Conan and Shuichi Akai were walking together in the hospital corridor, and the two had already discussed their plan.

"As for Oritis, what does Mr. Akai plan to do? They are not easy to fool." Conan asked as they walked.

"The people over there in Oritis are really troublesome. If this can keep us out of their sight, that's fine, but there's no guarantee they'll do something else to the FBI."

"I accepted their invitation before, and it seems that there is no harmony among them." Conan recalled the two times he received invitations.

"Tell me carefully."

"The 'Supervisor' camp is most likely responsible for human experiments. Those strange abilities are a bit unbelievable to me, and some of them have extremely bad personalities." Conan was a little scared when he thought of Jack's face. Once in the Black Jack game and once in Belstein, both appearances left a very bad impression on him.

"They're most likely pursuing immortality. I heard this experiment is being led by a member codenamed 'Photographer.'"

"'Photographer', is it immortality achieved by freezing time through camera? This code name really has a lot of meaning." Akai Shuichi smiled.

Conan went on to say, "The 'Survivors' camp seems to be somewhat opposed to this approach. The 'Air Force' lady and 'Ms. Farrow' are a master and apprentice, and she has a strong sense of justice. Even the 'Antique Dealer', codenamed Miss Qi Shiyi, is a person who hates evil. Honestly, it's hard for me to imagine that two groups with such different personalities could actually work together in the same organization."

"That means they can cooperate with each other and agree on certain things." Akai Shuichi frowned. "That's why I've always been wary of them."

"Whether they are 'survivors' or 'supervisors', they may all have a common ultimate goal, but we just don't know it yet."

"But the good news is that Oritis has never shown any real hostility towards the FBI."

"So Mr. Akai still wants to maintain this superficial cooperative relationship?"

"Perhaps it's best to keep things as they are."

The two chatted as they walked towards Rena Mizunashi's ward, and did not notice the puppet Louis who was quietly following them.

[Antique Dealer: They've gone far away. You can leave now, Matthias.]

[Puppeteer: Phew, operating puppets from a distance is really tiring.]

[Psychologist: Fortunately, the FBI is gathered in the conference room to discuss the battle plan, so no one is paying attention to your actions.]

[Novelist: They will probably discuss those plans with Rena Mizunoshi soon, so we will not be involved in the operation to transfer Rena Mizunoshi.]

[Composer: After all, it was just a big show orchestrated by Shuichi Akai to get Rena Mizunashi back into the Black Organization.]

[Gravekeeper: So let the FBI do the work, and we can just hide behind the scenes and rest.]

[Mercenary: The organization is busy again, I guess the operation is about to begin.]

In the war room, Judy and James were explaining their battle plan to a group of FBI agents, while the psychologist pulled the patient aside to listen.

"Prepare three stretchers for transporting the patient and three vehicles to carry the stretchers. In the worst-case scenario, we'll take Rena Mizunashi with us and evacuate the hospital. However, this is a plan we don't want to execute unless we have no other choice."

"Also, since this is a hospital, radios cannot be used. Phones are easily tapped, so don't use them either. Members inside the hospital should report verbally, and those in the parking lot should report to James via radio."

A discordant voice suddenly sounded.

"Huh, this is too much trouble." It was Andre Cameron who spoke.

However, his proposal was rejected by James.

Shuichi Akai and Conan also walked into the meeting room at this time.

"I have a general understanding of the battle plan, but Miss 'Psychologist', I have some questions I want to ask you. Would it be convenient for us to talk in another room?" Akai Shuichi asked the psychologist.

"can."

Soon, Shuichi Akai, Conan, the psychologist and the patient arrived at a new room.

"It seems that you two have no intention of participating in the FBI's operational plan." Shuichi Akai asked first.

"That's your plan. Are you willing to let us get involved?" The psychologist seemed dismissive of such a question. The patient stared at Akai Shuichi, fearing that he might hurt his Ada.

"You two are members of the 'Survivor' faction, right? Will there be any 'Supervisors' participating in this operation?"

The psychologist smiled slightly: "It seems that Conan has told you a lot of information about the manor."

"However, there will be no supervisors involved in this operation, and we are not even interested in your casual behavior."

Akai Shuichi and Conan were both slightly surprised.

"You seem to be planning to have the Black Organization recapture Rena Mizunashi, and then she can become a hidden chess piece, passing on information about the organization to your FBI."

"After all, that Mizunashi Rena, whose original name was Hondou Eikai, was an undercover CIA agent in the organization."

"You even know this?" Conan was a little shocked.

"We know a lot more, so I won't list them all. We just need to get what we want, which is the information about that special medicine."

"But as far as I know, the survivor camp doesn't seem to be very eager for such immortality drugs. What are the reasons why each of you joined Oletus?" Shuichi Akai frowned.

"Are you starting to question us now? But the reasons why the survivors join the manor are varied and it's no secret, so it's okay to reveal a little to you." The psychologist said after a moment's thought.

"I joined the manor to cure Emil's illness, the antique dealer joined to find an old friend, the gravekeeper joined to pursue his own beliefs, and the air force lady joined to seek freedom."

"Has anyone achieved their goal and left the manor so far?" Conan couldn't help but ask.

"I don't know. Although I am considered a veteran in the organization, I don't know exactly when the manor was established."

"But what I can be sure of is that since I joined the manor, I have never seen anyone leave the manor alive."

The psychologist gave a mysterious smile and blew the whistle in his hand. The sharp whistle made Conan and Akai Shuichi cover their ears tightly. When they came to their senses, the psychologist and the patient had already walked to the window.

"Goodbye everyone. Since the Black Organization is about to attack and you have prepared the corresponding measures, I think it would be best for my dear Emil and I to stay away from this drama that has already been outlined."

The patient embraced the psychologist, who kissed him on the cheek. The patient then jumped out of the window with the psychologist, pulled the grappling hook, and escaped from the chaotic farce that was about to unfold.
