Oritis in the world of Detective Conan

Chapter 40: Showdown on the Night of the Full Moon (Epilogue)

Shuichi Akai dodged the fatal blow from the evil lizard (bone flute) that fell from the sky with a side dive.

He stood up and looked at the monster:

On the head was a goat skull, but judging by the teeth, the length of the snout, and the protruding tongue, the mask concealed the head of some reptile, most likely a lizard or snake.

He was wearing a dark blue windbreaker, with bone spurs protruding from his back, and even had a bone tail.

The exposed skin was a strange dark red, and the bulging muscles seemed to flash with red light.

"So it's the same as the information we gathered earlier. Your organization is really keen on human experiments."

"Please don't get me wrong, I'm not some experimental subject," the lizard hissed. "It was my potion that allowed me to complete my transformation. I call this the Great Evolution."

Shuichi Akai: Human experiments are just human experiments, you are really making such a big deal out of it.

Akai Shuichi: "What exactly is your purpose?"

Antique dealer: "You were pointing a gun at me just now, why are you giving in now?"

Akai Shuichi rolled his eyes: "Without a gun, I'm going to fight five of you alone? There's an injured Judy behind him."

"You don't seem to have a good relationship with the Black Organization. Perhaps we can cooperate."

"That's true, but it doesn't seem necessary for us to cooperate with the FBI." The Air Force crossed his arms.

"The FBI can share intelligence with you about the organization."

"That sounds good, but we also have our own intelligence network."

A cell phone rang and the Air Force officer answered the call in a pretentious manner.

"Okay, I know."

Then the Air Force looked at the antique dealer and then turned his attention to Shuichi Akai.

"The organization has agreed to your proposal. Our request is that after destroying the organization, we take away all the information related to that drug."

"All of them? Are you also going to research that kind of medicine?"

"Who would resist the allure of immortality? We happen to have a member who is quite obsessed with this kind of research."

"Unfortunately, I'm still a little short of reversing the flow of time."

"After all, there are still people in our organization who are obsessed with reversing life and death."

After hearing what the Air Force said, Shuichi Akai and Judy's pupils trembled at the same time.

Shuichi Akai: The level of madness of the Oritis Organization is probably even higher than that of the Black Organization. We still have to be more vigilant in the future.

"Also, Qi, your mission time has been extended." Air Force turned his head and looked at the antique dealer.

"You mean I have to stay in school and be a teacher?"

"That's right."

"Oh my God, I'm fed up with all those homework and lesson plans." The antique dealer couldn't help but complain.

"Aqi, bear with it a little longer. Perhaps you can protest to the 'photographer' who proposed extending your mission time."

"I will dismantle his camera sooner or later!" said the antique dealer indignantly.

"Ms. Qi, perhaps you can apply to him for additional funding. I heard that he made a lot of money in France recently." Xie Bian helped to give advice.

"Indeed, you can blackmail him severely." Fan Wujiu added.

Shuichi Akai: So you guys just started discussing future plans without paying attention to anyone else?

[Photographer: Sorry, Ms. Qi, I will provide sufficient funding.]

[Perfumer: Everyone knows about your quest for immortality.]

[Antique Dealer: I don't mean to complain to Mr. Joseph, but I do feel a bit annoyed by the homework and lesson plans...]

[Novelist: If that doesn't work, let's ask the clerical workers at the manor to come out and help.]

[Recorder: No problem. I don't have any cases to hear recently, so I can help.]

[Lawyer: I'm free too.]

[Antique Dealer: Thank you very much.]

Going back to reality.

"Okay, it's time for us to leave. I can hear the sirens." The Air Force clapped his hands, attracting the attention of several people.

The ways in which the several people exited were different. The two souls of the umbrella stood inside the umbrella, and then the black umbrella turned into a black shadow and flew away.

The evil lizard's exit was no different from its entrance. He jumped up violently and quickly disappeared among the shipping containers.

The Air Force fired a signal gun again, and after a dazzling silver light, her figure disappeared.

The antique dealer walked up to Akai Shuichi and said, "You should leave too. You probably don't want that kid to see you."

After watching Oritis and the others leave in an extremely unreasonable manner, Akai Shuichi also left in silence.

"Well, it seems we will have to be colleagues for a long time, Teacher Judy." The antique dealer extended his hand to Judy.

Judy held the hand and struggled to stand up: "Yes, I hope we can continue to get along well in the future."

On the other side, Vermouth had already driven the car into the mountains.

Looking down at the email on my phone:

"It seems that I gave you too much freedom. Come back to me, Vermouth."

She breathed a sigh of relief and decided to be more careful from now on.

"Huh, what should I do next with you, a little brat who thinks he can do anything?" Vermouth turned her eyes to Conan who was still unconscious in the passenger seat.

Suddenly she discovered something, and when she tore off Conan's clothes, she found electrocardiogram electrodes, a transmitter and a recorder.

Vermouth was about to destroy these devices, but Conan spoke softly at this time: "If you do that, the information will be sent out immediately, even if I am killed."

"Oh, you are really fighting hard." The mercenary appeared in front of the car window.

"Negroni! You actually followed me?" Vermouth was a little surprised.

"I haven't received my payment yet. I don't think you're going to default on it."

The mercenary opened the car door and threw a discharge device at Conan.

"Ahhh!" Conan screamed in pain as he was stimulated by the electric current.

"Negroni, stop it!" Vermouth said as she was about to take the device away.

"Don't worry, the voltage is not high, no one will die." Without waiting for Vermouth to take action, the mercenary took back the device himself.

"I asked an old friend to make this. It can destroy all stored electronic information. So, little detective, all your equipment has become useless."

"Huh, huh. Damn, you..." Conan wanted to say something else, but Vermouth sprayed hypnotic gas at him from behind.

"That's it, the problem is solved. Do you want help?" The mercenary put his hands in his pockets.

"Ah, thank you for bringing me back to the safe house." Vermouth said as she opened the car door and walked out. Before leaving the car, she looked back at Conan.

"Don't look anymore. The kid's companions should be on their way to rescue him."

The two left.

Afterwards, the doctor found Conan unconscious in the car. After Conan woke up, he immediately checked the recorder. But as the mercenary said, the information inside had been completely destroyed. When he turned on the recorder, all that came out was a series of sharp crackling sounds of electricity.

Listening to the busy tones, Conan couldn't help but clench his fists: "I won't give up."
