Auxiliary Women's Strategy: A Virtuous Wife Helps the King to Rule the World
Chapter 10 The Crows Are Coming Again
Ten days later...
Sunlight streamed down upon the newly completed warehouse, gilding the new structure with a warm golden glow. Su Nan stood in the center, her face brimming with unconcealable joy and pride. Her gaze slowly scanned every corner, filled with appreciation and satisfaction for the achievement.
The warehouse's interior is spacious and bright, its layout meticulously designed for optimal efficiency. The floor is paved with smooth stone slabs, each seamlessly joined together for a sturdy and stable finish. The walls are painted a flawless white, their smooth surface reflecting sunlight and adding to the sense of spaciousness. The roof's sturdy wooden beams and neatly arranged tiles speak of the craftsman's exquisite craftsmanship.
In a clearly defined warehouse, storage areas, work areas, and aisles are neatly divided. Shelves in the storage area are ready, awaiting incoming goods. Tools in the work area are neatly arranged, facilitating subsequent operations. Wide and unobstructed aisles ensure the free movement of people and goods.
The craftsmen stood by, their faces weary but satisfied. The hard work had cost them so much sweat, but seeing the perfect result before their eyes made it all worth it. Their eyes followed Su Nan closely, their eyes filled with anticipation, waiting for their salaries to be paid.
Su Nan turned and faced the hardworking craftsmen. Her voice was filled with sincerity and gratitude. "Well done! Well done! I'm very satisfied. You've worked so hard this time. As promised, you can take all the tools. That's fine. Besides that, I'll give each of you an extra gold coin as a reward." The craftsmen were excited when they heard Su Nan's words. Some even had tears in their eyes. A complete doubling of their salaries! Where could they find such a good owner?
Su Nan took out the wages she had prepared and distributed them to the craftsmen one by one. She personally handed the money to each one. The craftsmen accepted the generous wages, expressed their gratitude profusely, and happily left the warehouse. Their footsteps echoed through the warehouse, like a final farewell to their hard work.
Su Nan stayed alone in the warehouse, carefully examining the space once again, and began to plan for the future. Just as she was immersed in her beautiful vision of the future, the mysterious crow suddenly appeared...
The sound of flapping wings broke the silence.
She instinctively looked up and saw the mysterious crow reappear at the warehouse door. Its black feathers gleamed a faint blue in the sunlight, and its eyes held an indescribable mystery. This time, the crow held a piece of paper in its beak, which swayed gently in the breeze, as if conveying some urgent message to Su Nan.
Su Nan's heartbeat quickened, and an inexplicable sense of nervousness washed over her. Cautiously, she approached the crow, her eyes fixed on the note. When she saw the paper's material, she gasped. It was a modern piece of notepaper, its edges neatly cut, a stark contrast to this ancient world.
What shocked her even more was that the handwriting on the note was written with a ballpoint pen. The smooth lines and bright ink formed a sharp contrast with the surrounding environment. "Follow me" - these three simple words seemed to contain endless meaning and secrets.
Su Nan's mind was in a turmoil, with countless questions flashing through her mind. Where did this crow come from? Why did it bring such a note? Who wrote the words on this note? She hesitated for a moment, her gaze shifting from the note to the crow, then back again. Finally, her intense curiosity overcame her fear and hesitation. She took a deep breath, as if making up her mind, and whispered, "Okay, please lead the way."
Su Nan made up his mind to follow the crow and took firm steps. The crow spread its wings and took flight, its black feathers gleaming mysteriously in the sunlight. It flew slowly, as if it was carefully following Su Nan's steps.
The crow circled in the sky and then flew off into the distance. Su Nan followed closely behind, her eyes fixed on the mysterious bird. Her steps were hurried, her heartbeat quickening as she journeyed into the unknown.
Along the way, the crow would periodically glance back, checking to see if Su Nan was still following. Whenever it saw Su Nan hadn't fallen behind, it would continue its flight. Sometimes, the crow would land on a tall treetop and pause for a moment. Su Nan would also take this opportunity to stop and breathe heavily. She looked up at the crow, her doubts growing, but her eyes were filled with determination.
Continuing forward, the road became increasingly bumpy. Su Nan stepped over rocks and dodged thorns. Sweat dripped from her forehead, soaking her clothes, but she showed no sign of retreating.
The crow once again landed on an ancient tree, this one with thick branches and lush leaves. Su Nan walked under the tree and leaned against the trunk to rest. She looked up at the crow, contemplating the hardships of the journey and the unknowns that lay ahead. But after a moment, she took a deep breath and once again set out to follow the crow.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Su Nan's feet were already sore, but she still gritted her teeth and persevered, because she knew that this mysterious crow would lead her to a place that might be able to solve all the mysteries.
The crow finally landed slowly in front of a dilapidated wooden house in a remote valley. The house seemed to have been forgotten by time, with weeds growing all around and moss covering the walls, making it look particularly desolate.
Su Nan cautiously stepped forward and gently pushed the door open. With a creak, the old door hinges clunked, a sound remarkably clear in the silent valley. The room was filled with a decaying atmosphere, and dust danced wildly in the dim light filtering through the window.
When Su Nan's gaze fell on the center of the room, there was a huge hexagram, flashing with faint colorful light. On the hexagram stood a metal square table, and on the square table stood a metal safe.
Seeing this, Su Nan's brain froze. "This... this is... a modern item?" Without time to think, he hurriedly took two steps at a time and walked towards the square table. Only then did he see a sticky note of the same type as the one in Crow's Mouth stuck on the password box.
She took a deep breath, stretched out her slightly trembling hands, and gently picked up the note that read: "Open the password box, you know the password."
Her heartbeat suddenly accelerated, and she was so nervous that she could almost hear her own heartbeat. She looked around frantically, as if trying to find the person who had placed something there, but there was no one around.
