[Quick Wear] Daily Cleansing of Trash

Chapter 23 The Fruit of Sin 2

As daylight dawned, the door of the woodshed was roughly opened.

Liu Daya came in with a sullen face and said to Liu Erya unhappily, "You're the one making breakfast today, get up!"

Liu Daya and Liu Erya are both useless "money-losing people". Since they can remember, they have been responsible for all the dirty and tiring work at home, and also work part-time as sandbag carriers.

Whenever Liu Dacai or their grandmother was in a bad mood, they would beat and scold them to vent their anger. Sometimes, when Liu Dacai came home drunk and saw them as annoying, he would beat them too.

Last night, Liu Dacai drank too much again. Liu Daya saw that something was wrong and immediately dodged away, leaving the original body alone to face the drunk Liu Dacai.

Liu Erya glanced at Liu Daya, said nothing, and left the woodshed on her own.

After a night's rest, Liu Erya recovered some strength. She walked into the kitchen and started washing rice and vegetables.

The Liu family was really poor. The original person's grandfather died early, and the original person's grandmother, Liu Pozi, raised her son Liu Dacai alone. Later, Liu Dacai went out to steal things and was beaten and broke one of his legs. The family relied on Liu Pozi to grow some things and ask others to sell them.

He had some savings in the early years, but later spent all of it on buying Zhang Junning. This was also the reason why Liu Dacai did not kill Zhang Junning - he could no longer afford to buy a second wife.

Therefore, the Liu family was very frugal even with their meals. As the head of the family, Liu Dacai naturally had enough to eat, followed by Liu Pozi.

Liu Daya and Liu Erya picked up some rice soup and coarse flour cakes to eat.

As for Zhang Junning, only rotten slop was left.

Even pigs eat better than her.

Liu Erya secretly hid a piece of dough in the space when no one was paying attention, then cut the remaining dough into pieces, boiled it into dough soup with water, sprinkled some salt on it and served it out.

After breakfast, Liu Dacai went out to play cards with the villagers. Liu Pozi locked the food in the cabinet and then left to chat with her old sisters.

Today it was Liu Daya's turn to wash clothes, but she was not happy about it, so she pushed Liu Erya and said, "Go, go wash the clothes!"

"I'm going to collect firewood!" Liu Erya ran away, leaving Liu Daya stamping her feet in anger.

There is nothing good on the outskirts of the mountain, and if there was any, it would have been picked up long ago.

Deep in the woods, snakes and insects proliferated. Liu Erya seized the opportunity to catch a venomous snake, cleanly handling it and carefully wrapping the venom sac in leaves.

Following the same method, Liu Erya harvested a total of six poison sacs.

During this time, she also caught a pheasant. Although it was a little thin, it was enough to fill her stomach.

Seeing that the time was almost up, Liu Erya casually threw some branches into the basket and then walked down the mountain.

When I got home, Liu Dacai had not come back yet, and Mrs. Liu was watching Liu Daya boil water and cook.

The food in the house was limited. For lunch and dinner, Mrs. Liu calculated the food and then watched Liu Daya and Liu Erya cook to prevent them from stealing food.

The morning meal was usually what was left over from the previous night. Mrs. Liu knew this, and if there was anything missing, she would beat them up regardless of whether they took it or not.

Sometimes Liu Dacai would drink until midnight, and when he came back hungry he would go to the kitchen to get something to eat. Mrs. Liu knew this, but she couldn't bear to leave her son behind and was worried about the food, so she would beat Liu Daya and Liu Erya to vent her anger.

Seeing Liu Erya come in, Mrs. Liu cursed: "You damn girl, you run outside every day, you useless thing! I'll sell you all tomorrow!"

Liu Erya didn't say anything. She put down the firewood and ran out: "I'm going to sweep the pigpen!"

Ignoring Liu Po's scolding, Liu Erya pretended to go into the pigpen with a broom.

Zhang Junning was lying naked in the pigpen, his hair disheveled and his body covered in dirt.

The iron chain had rubbed her neck and caused it to bleed, and the circle of blisters looked shocking.

Seeing Liu Erya come in, Zhang Junning moved slightly.

Liu Erya looked outside to see if anyone was paying attention, and quickly came to Zhang Junning. Taking advantage of the dimness in the pigpen, she took out a bamboo water pitcher from her space and handed it to Zhang Junning: "Drink something quickly."

Zhang Junning's eyes widened slightly. She glanced at Liu Erya, then began to drink from Liu Erya's hand.

Then, Liu Erya took out the cake that she had secretly left in the morning, tore it into small pieces, and quickly fed it to Zhang Junning.

After eating and drinking water, Zhang Junning felt a little more energetic.

She spoke hoarsely: "What happened?"

Liu Erya didn't answer, but looked at her seriously: "I will get you out!"

Zhang Junning was so thin that her bones were visible. She opened her eyes wide in shock, and her eyeballs seemed to be about to fall out of their sockets. She looked scary and pitiful.

When Liu Erya heard Liu Dacai cursing outside, she quickly stood up and started sweeping slowly with a broom.

Liu Dacai lost money gambling again and was in a very bad mood.

Liu Daya's soup was a little bland today, so Liu Dacai slapped her across the face and said, "You little bitch, you can't even cook properly. What's the point of having you? I'll sell you off to Sister Chen sooner or later!"

Liu Daya didn't dare to say a word. She just shrank her body and didn't move, allowing Liu Dacai to beat and scold her.

Liu Dacai was tired from fighting, so he sat down and continued eating.

Liu Daya squatted on the ground, wiping her tears and not daring to move, while Liu Erya was eating the rice soup in the bowl that was so bright that you could see your reflection in it.

After dinner, Liu Dacai went for a nap, Liu Pozi digested the food in the yard, Liu Daya cleaned the kitchen, and Liu Erya washed the dishes.

"You silly girl, were you making fun of me just now?" Liu Daya glared at Liu Erya and asked in a low and sinister voice.

Liu Erya looked surprised: "Are you sick?"

Liu Daya rolled her eyes, picked up a bowl and threw it to the ground.

"Bah!"

The sound of the bowl breaking rang out, and Liu Erya instantly knew what Liu Daya was planning. She pushed Liu Daya to the ground and yelled at the top of her lungs, "Grandma, my elder sister broke the bowl!"

Mrs. Liu was furious. She rushed into the kitchen and slapped Liu Daya in the face: "You little bitch, are you trying to rebel? You useless, money-losing bastard! You damned little bitch!"

Liu Erya had already hidden aside when Liu Pozi rushed in to avoid being implicated.

The Liu family was inherently evil. Liu Daya was a gloomy young woman who couldn't stand anyone being better than her. My original self suffered a lot from her when she was little. Later, when my original self grew up, she understood Liu Daya's tactics. It just so happened that she wasn't a good person either, so the two sisters often framed each other.

In the original plot, Liu Daya was sold to the next village. She was unwilling to accept this and was afraid that her sister would be better than her, so when she heard that an old bachelor wanted to buy a woman, the first person she thought of was her sister.

Liu Daya was beaten twice in one day and never dared to make trouble again. She just hid in the corner and looked at Liu Erya with hatred when no one was paying attention.

Liu Erya snorted softly, thinking that he was a bully who only feared the strong and bullied the weak.

The next day, it was Liu Erya's turn to cook. She didn't have time to go to the mountains to "purchase supplies", so she could only wander around the village to investigate the situation.

She found that there were women locked in the pigpens and woodsheds of several families. The only difference was the length of the chains, but the same thing was the numb faces and empty eyes.

Liu Erya had almost finished her stroll and was about to go back to cook when she suddenly saw the village chief's youngest son coming in from the village entrance.
