Farming and reading family

Chapter 521 1 Stuttering

Yang thought that the Chen family favored the second son's family because the second son was a scholar and would become an official in the future. However, she saw that the second son was now a teacher and had no intention of becoming an official.

Chen Qing glanced at his wife and said, "I'll call Hanyue back in the evening and you can talk to her."

"I can't communicate with her." Yang immediately pushed the matter away.

"Then why do you think others should be able to make sense?" Chen Qing knew that Yang was indeed not good at this.

Hanyue has never been as obedient as Yuning since she was a child, and she is unwilling to suffer any loss from her mother. Yang has no way to deal with her.

Yang didn't say anything.

Chen Qing stopped talking.

Chen Hanyue returned to the village with her third uncle's family in the evening. After getting off the carriage, she ran to her second aunt's house.

"Han Yue." When Chen Qing heard the carriage coming back and opened the door, he saw his daughter running towards the second son's house.

"Dad." Chen Hanyue called out without stopping. "I'll go say hello to Second Aunt first."

"You come back first." Chen Qing turned sideways.

Chen Hanyue heard her father say this and reluctantly went home: "What's the matter?"

Chen Qing closed the door and looked at Yang: "Han Yue is back. If you have anything to say, just talk to Han Yue directly." After he said that, he went into the house.

Chen Hanyue looked at her mother: "What's the matter, mother?"

Yang immediately laughed: "It's nothing. Are you tired after helping your third aunt all day?"

Chen Hanyue was tired of listening to this. Her father couldn't possibly lie to her. Her mother must have something to ask her, but she didn't want to say it. "Mom, if you have something to say, please tell me quickly. I have some questions for Second Aunt."

"Is there anything you can't ask your mother?" Yang was dissatisfied.

Chen Hanyue looked at her mother and said, "Today, Aunt San encountered someone eating for free in the store. How should we deal with such a thing? How should we keep accounts? If we are doing accounts for others, how should we balance them?"

Yang was completely stunned: "It's our own business, if there is an accident, just bear with it, there is no need to calculate it so clearly."

"That won't do. There's no point in running a business if we can't figure out the accounts. The whole family works so hard but ends up losing money. We might as well just rest at home." Chen Hanyue was dissatisfied.

"Then you can rest at home. Our family doesn't lack food now." Yang followed Chen Hanyue's words.

"We don't lack food now, but what about before?" Chen Hanyue asked directly, "How long has it been since we were full? Besides, people can live for a bite of food, but they can't just live for a bite of food."

"What kind of logic are you talking about?" Yang was reluctant to tell her daughter, "You don't know your place just because you know a few words."

"It's because I learned a few words that I realized how high the sky is and how deep the earth is." Chen Hanyue looked at her mother. "Unlike mother, even if Second Aunt wanted to help you open a shop, mother was unwilling to go out. She only wanted to marry her daughter off to help herself."

"What are you talking about? I'm doing this for your own good." Yang's voice rose unconsciously as if someone had stepped on her tail.

"Isn't it?" Chen Hanyue looked at her mother. "Since I was little, I've been taught how to work for the family, not how to handle things. Even if I get married, I'll just go from working for my family to working for someone else's family."

"I have to work hard to please my parents-in-law and give birth to a son to prove my worth, but what about me?" Chen Hanyue questioned, "Has mother ever thought about what I want to do?"

"You are outrageous." Yang didn't expect Chen Hanyue to say such a thing.

Chen Hanyue would never say such things in the past because she didn’t have the confidence.

No matter what her family is like, she has to rely on this family and she cannot survive without this family.

But now she has her second aunt to rely on and can make money in her third aunt's store, so she has unconsciously gained confidence, which she doesn't even realize.

So she dares to say things she didn't dare to say before and dares to do things she didn't dare to do before.

"Han Yue, go to your second aunt's house first." Chen Qing saw that the mother and daughter were about to quarrel.

When Chen Hanyue heard her father say this, she turned and ran away.

Yang wanted to pull Chen Hanyue but was a step too late. She heard Chen Hanyue slam the door shut.

Yang looked at Chen Qing angrily: "Look at what she has become now. If I don't discipline her, she might not even recognize us."

Chen Qing looked at Yang: "Did she say something wrong?"

Yang was stunned, not knowing what her man meant.

"She just didn't do what you wanted." Chen Qing continued, "I don't want my daughter to marry without knowing anything, and be burdened with endless work and endless anger every day."

Yang was stunned, but this was how she had lived for so many years.

"If her man loves her, she can still have some peace of mind, but we can't rely on others for our daughter's safety." Chen Qing looked at Yang's confusion.

He would not have said these things to Yang before, just like his daughter said, people can fight for a bite of food, but they cannot fight for only a bite of food.

Since his daughter could say such words, he didn't want her to just live the life they were living now.

"I'm doing this for her own good." Yang said softly, sounding quite unsure.

Chen Qing didn't know what to say to Yang. It was probably useless to say anything, as she had been living like this for decades.

Chen Hanyue was still frightened when she ran to her second aunt's house. She was really afraid that her mother would beat her and she would be the only one to be beaten.

For Chen Hanyue, talking back is acceptable, but fighting is impossible.

"What's wrong?" Jin Ruyi saw Chen Hanyue patting her chest.

"Master Jin." Chen Hanyue saluted.

Jin Ruyi smiled and said, "You still remember that I am your teacher, but I am afraid you don't remember which way the school door opens." She said teasingly.

"How can I?" Chen Hanyue flattered. "The Master said that reading ten thousand books is like traveling ten thousand miles. Although I can't travel ten thousand miles, I can go out and see different people and experience the world. That's also learning."

"You're very eloquent." Jin Ruyi went into the main room with her.

Mrs. Lei was complaining to her second sister-in-law about how someone had eaten for free today. Jin Ruyi and Chen Hanyue sat down and listened.

"If this matter is not handled properly, people will think we are easy to bully." Lei was depressed.

They are not from He County, so naturally some local tyrants want to get some benefits.

"Those people acted like scoundrels and occupied the place and refused to leave. We couldn't beat or scold them, so other diners had to leave when they saw them," Chen Hanyue added.

Gao E thought for a moment and said, "How about this? I'll make some hot sauce tonight. The store is having a promotion tomorrow. If you can finish a portion with hot sauce in one sitting, I'll give you a free portion."

"Will this work?" Lei was worried.

The jelly with chili peppers does not sell very well, but some people like it.

"Try it first." Gao E looked at Chen Hanyue, "Use provocation to get them to eat."

"Okay." Chen Hanyue nodded.

After talking about this, Chen Hanyue talked about accounting, which Jin Ruyi was good at, so Jin Ruyi taught Chen Hanyue.

In the evening, Gao E and Jin Ruyi talked about Luoyun Village. The weather was getting warmer, and it was time to put away the cowhide tent.

"Did something big happen a few days ago?" Jin Ruyi asked suddenly.
