Warhammer: From the Devouring C'tan Fragments

Chapter 585: Cowardice and Reality

Every question Tina asked was like the eerie whisper of a demon from the depths of hell, mercilessly striking the psychic's fragile eardrums.

Every time Tina spoke to him, the psychic would tremble involuntarily, and a bone-chilling chill would quickly creep up his heart like a poisonous snake and spread through his limbs and bones.

"Sir, please have mercy! Everything that just happened was truly just a huge misunderstanding!"

Despite the great pain his body was in, the psychic still tried his best to force out a flattering smile, hoping to gain Tina's forgiveness.

In order to save his own life, he no longer cared about his dignity and shame, and began to speak insincere words to Tina.

However, Tina clearly had no mercy on this coward. She raised the corners of her mouth slightly, revealing a sneer of disdain.

"Hmph! You're only now admitting your mistakes and begging for mercy? In my opinion, people like you are inherently so despicable and shameless. Even if you continue to live, it would be nothing more than a waste of food and air."

Tina stared expressionlessly at the trembling psyker in her hands, as if he were just an insignificant existence.

Faced with the psychic's desperate pleading, she was like a cold sculpture, with no reaction, not even a hint of pity.

Tina said this coldly, and then she didn't respond. Her arm muscles tensed, and a powerful force erupted instantly. Without hesitation, she swung a punch, striking the poor psychic in her hand.

There was only a horrifying "crack" sound that resounded throughout the space. The psychic's head exploded in an instant under Tina's powerful blow, turning into a scarlet blood mist flying all over the sky, like a blooming flower of death.

Then, accompanied by a dull "bang" sound, Tina threw the body, which had been broken into two pieces, to the ground as if she was throwing away a useless piece of garbage.

The corpse collided violently with the hard deck, making a crisp and sharp sound, and the originally intact body was completely shattered under the huge impact force, turning into a horrible pile of blood and flesh.

After doing all this, Tina put the suppressor back on her slender wrist with a neat movement.

Her icy eyes, like cold stars in the cold night, ruthlessly scanned the numerous psychics and vicious criminals imprisoned in the cells in the corridor.

The moment Tina put on the suppressor, the psychics in the cell, who had been shielded from perception and unable to see the outside world, finally saw her clearly again.

They all looked at the cold-blooded woman in front of them in horror, their hearts filled with despair and fear.

When these people finally came back to their senses from the painful state in which they felt as if their souls had been sucked out and every inch of their bodies was suffering extreme torture, they were shocked to realize that what was waiting for them was still the endless dark abyss with no end in sight.

Tina's cold voice echoed through the corridor: "Are there any of you who still want to escape from this cell? I don't mind helping you."

Her tone was flat and calm, but the chill contained in it made people feel as if they were falling into an ice cellar.

In an instant, everyone shuddered violently at the same time, their eyes darting around in fear, not daring to meet Tina's gaze which was as cold as ten thousand years of ice.

"Sir, I know I was wrong! I really shouldn't have been disrespectful to you in the slightest. Please be merciful and let me go, just like you would let go of a trivial fart!"

A man fell to his knees with trembling legs, and begged with tears streaming down his face.

"My Lord, this was all just a misunderstanding! The man who dared to offend your majesty has already received the severe punishment he deserved!"

Another person quickly agreed, nodding and fawning like a dog wagging its tail to beg for mercy.

"Yes, yes, yes! That's right!"

Seeing this, the others nodded in agreement one after another, looking at Tina and the Judgment Guards beside her with fawning expressions on their faces, and spewing out a series of flattering words.

There was no other way. Who could blame Tina for emitting such terrifying pressure? It forced everyone present to bow to reality and beg Tina.

"Let's go!" Tina glanced at everyone in the prison, turned and walked towards the bridge.

"Boom!" Accompanied by a deafening roar, a strong shock wave swept in like an overwhelming force, and the entire empty hall trembled.

In an instant, flames shot up into the sky, thick smoke billowed, and violent explosions rang out one after another. Those mechanical servants who fearlessly rushed towards the Judgment Guards were instantly engulfed by the powerful energy released by the blaster guns.

I saw flashes of dazzling light, followed by a series of earth-shaking explosions that resounded through the sky.

These mechanical servants had no power to resist such a terrifying energy explosion. Their fragile bodies were blown to pieces and turned into piles of charred debris scattered on the ground.

Even the originally extremely solid steel wall could not withstand the impact of this violent force and was blown into countless tiny steel fragments, flying all over the sky like a gorgeous meteor shower.

"Da da da!" At the same time, the warriors of the Inquisition Guards, holding heavy Ripper rifles, pulled the trigger without hesitation.

The tongues of fire spurting out of the muzzle were like ferocious fire dragons, and hundreds of bullets whizzed out every second.

These bullets gathered into an impenetrable metal storm, smashing towards the mecha servants and auxiliary soldiers rushing forward with unparalleled lethality.

All that was heard was a series of crackling sounds, and the mechanical servants and auxiliary soldiers who were in the front fell down in groups like harvested wheat.

Some of their bodies were riddled with holes from bullets, with blood splattering everywhere; others were knocked to the ground by the huge impact force, rolling and wailing in pain.

And even more people lost their lives instantly in the face of this overwhelming barrage of bullets, leaving behind cold corpses lying scattered on the road of charge.

For a moment, the entire battlefield was a river of blood, corpses were everywhere, and the air was filled with a strong and pungent smell of blood and flying steel fragments.
