Warhammer: From the Devouring C'tan Fragments
Chapter 344: End of Boarding
There was a loud "bang" and Gabriel's headless body fell down like a mountain, hitting the deck hard, making a dull and heart-pounding sound.
"Captain Nak!"
"Captain Nak, are you okay?"
At that moment, all the Star Marines witnessed Nak's tragic condition—half of his left arm had been completely severed! For a moment, everyone was horrified and rushed towards Nak at top speed, shouting and asking anxious questions.
Nak slowly raised his left arm, which was only half left, and frowned tightly, but not because of the severe pain from the wound, but because of extreme dissatisfaction with his own performance.
Just killing a lackey of the false emperor had cost him such a heavy price, losing an arm. This filled Nak with regret and self-blame. He knew that he must have slacked off in his recent training, which led to this dire situation.
At this moment, the power armor worn by Nak sensed the injury of its owner. It responded quickly, ejected a syringe from the power armor backpack, and accurately injected a dose of hemostatic gel into Nak's wound.
The broken arm that was originally bleeding stopped bleeding in an instant.
"I'm fine." Nak shook his head lightly with an expressionless face, breaking away from the guards who wanted to come forward to support him.
His voice was unusually calm, as if everything he had just experienced was nothing more than a trivial matter: "It's just a minor injury, no need to make a fuss."
A member of the guard team quickly stepped forward and carefully picked up the bloody half of Nak's arm that had fallen to the ground. He looked at Nak and said softly:
"Captain Nak, it's more important for you to go down and heal your wounds first. Although your arm is broken, it can be reattached with timely treatment. It won't affect your strength."
Nak clenched his teeth, enduring the severe pain, beads of sweat the size of beans rolling down his forehead.
But he did not refute the Guard member's words, nor did he immediately agree with his suggestion. Instead, he used his still loud and powerful voice to loudly issue orders to all the Star Marines present:
"Everyone! Clean up the battlefield immediately and eliminate all those pseudo-emperor's lackeys who dared to intrude on our warship. Leave no one alive! We must not allow even the slightest hidden danger to remain here!"
"Yes!" The Star Marines present responded in unison, their voices resounding through the air. They quickly sprang into action, methodically searching and clearing the battlefield.
At this moment, Nak seemed to suddenly remember something and added:
"Also, that guy... is Gabriel's body. Don't desecrate it. Find him a suitable place and bury him properly."
As he said this, Nak's eyes were extremely complicated, staring intently at Gabriel's lifeless body not far away.
His eyes showed both hatred for the enemy and the sympathy of a true warrior for another brave opponent. He had to admit that Gabriel's fearless spirit was truly admirable.
After properly arranging all subsequent tasks, Nak breathed a sigh of relief and took several members of the guard team to treat the injuries.
"Captain Nak, are you okay with your injury?"
As the mechanical and electronic equipment in the battleship was successfully repaired, Lilith witnessed the thrilling duel between Nak and Gabriel through the screen.
When she saw that one of Nak's arms was cut off by Gabriel, she was shocked, her mouth slightly opened, her eyes widened, and her face was full of disbelief.
However, Nak was completely absorbed in arranging the subsequent tasks. Lilith knew it was not the right time to disturb him, so she suppressed her worries and waited silently for the right moment.
Finally, when Nak went to the medical room to treat his injuries, Lilith couldn't wait to send him a concerned inquiry through the communication channel.
"It's okay, just a minor injury."
Nak's voice came from the communicator, and his tone seemed particularly relaxed, as if the pain of the broken arm was not worth mentioning at all.
But Lilith knew in her heart that such a serious injury could not be a trivial matter. But since Nak had said so, she did not want to ask any more questions.
"By the way, how's the situation with the naval battle?"
Just when Lilith was about to say something else, Nak suddenly changed the subject, remembering that they were still on the battlefield fighting fiercely with the Imperial Combined Fleet, so he hurriedly asked Lilith.
"The battle is raging! Those puppet emperor's lackeys are going crazy, fearlessly attacking our fleet. I suspect they're doing this to help the enemies who have already infiltrated the warships draw our attention, allowing them to successfully complete their mission."
Lilith glanced at the holographic projection in front of her, which showed a scene of fierce battle between the fleets of both sides in the vacuum of the universe, as well as a scene of Star Marines cleaning up the battlefield in the training ground, and responded to Nak calmly.
Nak laughed sarcastically, "It seems their wish has been dashed."
Lilith also laughed and glanced at the scene in the training ground: "Indeed, their wishes have been dashed. Now all that awaits them is failure."
While the two were talking, Nak had already arrived at the door of the infirmary. "You continue to command the fleet! I'll go reattach my arm. Let me know if you need anything."
Lilith glanced at Nak's current location and knew that Nak needed surgery to reattach his broken arm. She nodded in response:
"Understood, go treat your injuries first!"
"Yes!" Nak ended the call with Lilith, opened the door of the infirmary, and walked in to receive treatment.
The fierce naval battle continued to erupt! The surging roar of artillery fire and the deafening explosions rose and fell, as if tearing the entire universe apart.
The Imperial Combined Fleet was like a group of mad wolves, baring their fangs and claws as they continued to pounce fiercely at the Star Navy Fleet, launching wave after wave of extremely fierce attacks.
They were like a raging beast trapped in a cage, knowing their path was over, yet unwilling to accept their demise, desperately seeking to drag more victims down with them before their death. Each charge was resolute and fierce, brimming with reckless ferocity and desperation.
However, no matter how fierce and brutal the offensive launched by the Imperial Combined Fleet, the Star Navy Fleet was always under the command of Lilith, stubbornly resisting the enemy's crazy attacks.
They worked closely together, cooperated seamlessly, and successfully resolved crises time and time again with their iron will and superb tactical skills.
In this thrilling battle, the warriors of the Star Navy fleet fought bravely without fear, maneuvering their warships nimbly through the dense artillery fire, accurately locking onto their targets and decisively launching their attacks.
One after another, the warships of the Imperial Combined Fleet were directly destroyed in the brilliant flames, instantly turning into countless huge pieces of cosmic debris, floating in the vast vacuum, becoming eternal witnesses on this battlefield.
