Warhammer: From the Devouring C'tan Fragments

Chapter 23: Capture of the City of Totka

"Enter the city and freely hunt down anyone holding a weapon."

Gray, standing on the city wall, gave orders coldly.

"Yes."

The Space Marines silently jumped off the city wall and scattered in all directions looking for enemies with weapons.

The gang members in the city of Totka heard the gunshots coming from the city wall, picked up their rifles and ran towards the city wall. The gang members who were closer to the city wall had just run around a corner.

He saw a man nearly three meters tall, wearing gorgeous armor, holding a huge rifle in his hand and pointing it at him. Just when the gang member in front was still wondering how a man wearing such gorgeous armor could appear in the base nest.

The other party had already pulled the trigger of the huge gun in his hand. With a gunshot, the bodies of several gang members in front were blown to pieces by the Ripper rifle.

Now that doubtful gang member won't have any more doubts.

The gang members following behind saw the armored man take the lead in the attack, and opened fire at the Space Marines with their rifles.

Amidst the "bang bang bang" sounds of gunfire, there were several loud gunshots. When the Space Marine stopped pulling the trigger, the bodies of the gang members on the opposite side had all been blown to pieces.

"Tsk, rubbish."

A disdainful voice came from the Space Marine's helmet, and it sounded like a female voice.

The Space Marine looked at the scan results transmitted from his helmet and found that there were still a few people hiding in these houses, but they had no weapons in their hands and should be civilians.

The Space Marine no longer cared about the people hiding in the room and continued to walk into the city with his Ripper rifle. Along the way, fierce gunfire could be heard everywhere in the city.

"Monster, this damn monster, why isn't it dead yet?"

A gang leader looked at the giant in front of him, yelling in fear, and collapsed to the ground, crawling backwards using his hands and feet.

His face was filled with fear, and he no longer had the power to kill or inflict death on the poor.

He brought more than 300 gang members to support the city wall, but he met a tall giant on the way. When the giant saw his group of people, he opened fire and killed them without saying a word. There were more than 300 of them.

All the monsters in front of them were killed in just a few minutes. The weapons of their group were of no use to this monster.

"Do you have any last words?"

The Space Marine asked jokingly, looking at the frightened gang leader in front of him.

"Don't kill me. I have a backer. I know the nobles in the upper class. I am working for the nobles. I can introduce you to some important people. You are so powerful that you will definitely be valued by them and enjoy wealth and glory."

The gang leader said tremblingly.

Before his death, the gang leader was still trying to win over the Space Marine. As long as the Space Marine agreed to his proposal, he would have hope of survival.

"Is this your last words? Unfortunately, the conditions you proposed are of no use to me. I am loyal only to the Lord of the Stars."

The Space Marine's voice came from his helmet, but it was of no use to the gang leader's proposal.

If I were still struggling in the bottom nest, I would definitely be tempted by the advice given by this gang leader before his death.

The Space Marine raised his foot and crushed the gang leader's head. The head exploded and blood splattered everywhere.

After killing the gang leader, the Space Marines continued to search the city for gang members with their weapons.

The fierce gunfire in the city of Totka gradually subsided. After clearing out all the gang members in the city, the Space Marines gradually withdrew from the city and gathered outside the city.

Gray looked at the bloodstains on the Space Marines' power armor and knew that the gang members in the city had basically been eliminated. Now they could only wait for the arrival of the navy and defense forces.

The forward base has been taken, and the remaining areas are being conquered by the Space Marines and the navy personnel.

"Rest here and check the ammunition."

Gray ordered over the communication channel.

"Yes."

The responses of all the Space Marines came from Gray's communication channel.

The Space Marines who completed their mission returned to their motorcycles. Those who had used up more ammunition placed the empty magazines on the dashboard of the motorcycles.

After sensing the object, the dashboard opened and sucked the empty magazine into the interior of the dashboard. After more than ten seconds, the dashboard opened again and the empty magazine was filled with bullets again. The Space Marine put the refilled magazine back into his weapon belt.

Continue to complete the maintenance of weapons. Although this is just a small battle, after the battle, weapon maintenance is a compulsory course for Space Marines.

After the Space Marines rested for more than ten minutes, countless heavy armored vehicles, tanks and troop carriers drove over from the direction they came from, with many undried bloodstains on some of the vehicles.

Although the Space Marines cleared the way and killed many powerful alien creatures, there were still some alien creatures that were not discovered and destroyed by the Space Marines.

The sounds made by the convoy during its journey attracted the attention of these alien creatures, and the navy and defense forces also killed many alien creatures along the way.

Rows of bright headlights illuminated the empty Underhive as bright as day, and the vehicles stopped when they drove in front of the Space Marines.

A burly man in the first convoy jumped down from the armored vehicle. He was wearing black force-feedback power armor and strode over to Gray. He took off his helmet, looked up at the tall Gray, and said with a smile:

"Captain Gray, you guys finished the battle really quickly. We rushed all the way but still couldn't catch up with the first battle."

Gray looked at Latus who took off his helmet, and took off his own helmet as well, saying with a smile:

"We can't help it. This is the first time for us Space Marines to go on an official mission. We used to train in the Metaverse, so we are very impatient for real combat."

As the two men spoke, they extended their right hands and touched each other in the air.

At this time, the commander of the First Regiment of the Defense Force also came over and joined the conversation.

"Captain Gray, you're so mean that you didn't leave us any soup."

Andreida also raised his head and looked at Gray, saying jokingly.

Faced with the two people's jokes, Gray could only smile awkwardly. Only when facing the former nobleman Mendeleev would Gray show hostility. Facing these officers born in the bottom nest, Gray's attitude was relatively gentle.

"Captain Anrida, we have already captured the city of Totka. Now we need you to appease the people inside. You are quite familiar with this kind of thing."

Gray looked at the two of them and started talking about business.

After hearing Gray's words, Anrida patted the ceramic steel armor on his chest and said solemnly, "Leave this matter to me. I will take care of it."

Thank you for feeding me, thank you so much
