After a loud bang, I felt dizzy and the sound of something breaking echoed in my ears. Then, a ray of light appeared before my eyes...

"Yaoyao, I know what you are doing," he held my hand tightly, his eyes firm, "Let's do it together!"

I had no time to be moved or hesitate. I could only hold his hand tightly, feeling the warmth and strength of his palm. Hao Yang was right. This was our only hope. We had to move forward and backward together.

"Okay!" I took a deep breath, pulled Hao Yang to my side, and signaled him to gather his strength. Hao Yang did so without hesitation. The golden light from his body intertwined with the silver light in my body, forming an even more dazzling beam of light that shot straight into the sky.

"Children, I'm here to lend you a hand!" Elder Wei's voice was weak but firm. He raised his hands tremblingly and injected the last bit of strength into us.

I felt a warm and powerful force surge into my body, repairing my meridians that had been eroded by the dark forces and strengthening the connection between Hao Yang and me. We were like two originally independent rivers, which at this moment merged into a torrent, rushing towards the abyss of darkness.

"Are you ready?" I stared into Hao Yang's eyes and saw the same determination and courage in his eyes.

"Ready!" he answered without hesitation, without even a hint of backing down.

We clasped our hands tightly, gathering all our strength into one point, and roared one last time towards the densest core of the dark power:

A dazzling light illuminated the entire dark space. I seemed to see a crack appear in the core of the dark power, but the next second, an even stronger dark force surged in, as if to devour us completely...

After the dazzling light, what greeted us was not the joy of victory, but a deeper darkness. The combined strength of Hao Yang and I was like a stone dropped into a bottomless abyss, causing a ripple before being swallowed up in an instant. Then, an irresistible backlash swept towards us like a tidal wave.

"Yaoyao!" Hao Yang exclaimed, trying to shield me behind him, but it was too late. I felt like a kite with its string cut, being hurled violently by the immense force. My body tumbled uncontrollably through the air, my internal organs seemingly dislocated, and the intense pain nearly knocked me unconscious.

With a thud, I fell heavily to the ground. My vision was blurry, my ears were buzzing, and only my heart in my chest was still beating fiercely and unwillingly. I tried hard to open my eyes, but my eyelids felt as heavy as if they were filled with lead.

"Yaoyao! Yaoyao, how are you?!" Hao Yang's voice rang in my ears, thick with worry and self-blame. I wanted to answer him, but no sound came out. I could only feel his trembling hands tightly gripping mine, trying to pull me up from the cold ground.

"It's useless..." I heard Elder Wei's weak voice, "This power... is too strong... We... cough cough..." He coughed violently, and every cough seemed to hit my heart, making me even more desperate.

I finally forced my eyes open and saw Hao Yang and Elder Wei collapsed not far from me. Their bodies were covered in wounds, their breath weak, clearly suffering heavy losses. Before us, the dark force was even larger and more terrifying than before, greedily devouring all light and hope around it, like a beast from hell, its bloody mouth agape, intent on devouring us completely.

Is this... our end? I closed my eyes helplessly, my heart filled with bitterness and unwillingness. At this moment, I suddenly felt that the originally violent dark force, after swallowing my and Hao Yang's attacks, seemed to have a faint... fluctuation?

The wave was too weak, like a flickering candle in a storm, ready to go out at any moment. But I still keenly sensed it, because I clearly felt that after consuming my and Hao Yang's attacks, this dark force didn't grow as rapidly as before. Instead, it seemed to be experiencing indigestion. This ignited a glimmer of hope in my despair.

Could this be our chance? I endured the excruciating pain, concentrating my mind and carefully observing the changes in the dark force. As time passed, the faint fluctuations grew more and more pronounced, like a tiny crack opening in the abyss of darkness, a faint ray of light trying to seep in.

"Hao Yang, Elder Wei, look!" I struggled to raise my hand and pointed to the core of the dark power, "There... it seems..." The severe pain prevented me from saying a complete sentence, but I believed that Hao Yang and Elder Wei must understand what I meant.
