Chapter 192: Exploring the Source of Power and Surprisingly Meeting You for the First Time

Exploring the source of power and encountering it for the first time

"Let's go," I tried to hold on to my almost exhausted body, but my tone was extremely firm.

Without saying a word, Hao Yang supported me and followed Elder Lin towards the direction of the mysterious power.

The source of that power seemed to be far away in the horizon. We walked for a long, long time, and there was only an endless barren desert in front of us.

The scorching sun above my head was like a huge fireball, baking my skin.

The sand under my feet was scorching hot, and every step felt like walking on a red-hot iron plate.

Sweat soaked my clothes and my throat felt so dry that it seemed to be smoking.

I felt that my physical strength had reached its limit and my legs felt as heavy as if they were filled with lead.

Hao Yang noticed my weakness and asked with concern, "Yaoyao, are you okay?" I gritted my teeth and forced a smile, "It's okay, I can do it." I didn't want to be a burden to him, and I didn't want to give up.

Elder Lin seemed to have noticed our predicament. He looked around with a frown on his face.

Just when I was about to despair, he suddenly pointed ahead and shouted, "Look! Oasis!"

I looked in the direction he was pointing, and sure enough, I saw a green scene not far away.

It was a small oasis, standing out in the vast desert, yet full of vitality.

We seemed to see hope and quickened our pace towards the oasis.

In the center of the oasis, there is a clear spring.

We couldn't wait to rush to the spring and drink it in big gulps.

The spring water is sweet and clear, like nectar, instantly moistening our dry bodies.

What’s even more amazing is that after drinking the spring water, I felt full of strength and all the previous fatigue was swept away.

"This spring water..." A hint of surprise flashed in Elder Lin's eyes, "It seems to contain some kind of magical power." I also felt it. This power was gentle yet powerful, flowing slowly through my body, resonating wonderfully with my own strength.

After a short rest, we felt fully restored and even more energetic than before.

Just as we were about to leave the oasis and move on...

I sensed a strange smell.

"Wait..." I grabbed Hao Yang's arm and looked around vigilantly.

"What's wrong?" Hao Yang asked in a low voice.

Elder Lin also stopped and looked solemn.

A faint, noisy sound drifted in the wind... getting closer and closer...

The wind and sand suddenly rose, and a group of guys riding giant sand lizards appeared in sight, with ill intentions.

The scimitar flashed coldly in the sunlight, and the shouting was deafening - Sand Bandits!

"Protect Yaoyao!" Elder Lin shouted and rushed forward first.

I'm not some vase that needs to be protected!

The power of this oasis spring water flows through my body, clamoring to burst out.

Hao Yang stood in front of me, drew out the dagger he was carrying, and looked fierce.

I grabbed his arm and said, "Let's go together! It won't waste time." He grinned, the sunlight shining on his face, and he was so handsome that my heart skipped a beat.

The sand bandits brandished their scimitars and pounced on us like a pack of hungry wolves.

I took a deep breath, mobilized the surging power in my body, and swung out with a palm. A golden energy wave whizzed out and hit several sand bandits who were rushing in the front.

They screamed and flew out, hitting the sand and stirring up a cloud of dust.

Upon seeing this, the bandit leader's face changed and he shouted sternly: "Split up the attack! This woman is evil!" The bandits immediately changed their tactics and attacked from all directions.

Hao Yang was agile and moved like a loach among the sand bandits, his dagger flying and every move deadly.

Elder Lin used his family's secret technique, and several vines appeared out of thin air, tightly tying up some of the sand bandits.

I concentrated on dealing with the remaining sand bandits. The power given to me by the spring water made me feel like I had a cheat, and every move I made was full of devastating momentum.

The sand bandits were no match for me and were knocked down one after another by me.

Seeing that the situation was hopeless, the leader of the sand bandits actually wanted to escape!

I sneered, and my figure flashed, appearing in front of him in an instant, and kicked him off the sand lizard.

Before he could get up, I stepped on him.

"Tell me! What are you doing here?" I asked sternly.

He replied tremblingly: "We...we are just passing by..."

"Passing by? Passing by with so many scimitars?" I increased the pressure on my foot.

"I'll tell you! I'll tell you!" He screamed in pain, "We...we are protecting...protecting..."

"Protect what?"

"Guard...guard the seal leading to the source of power!"

A seal? A source of power? My heart trembled, and an inexplicable sense of unease surged through me.

Elder Lin came over and asked in a deep voice, "What seal is this? And where is the source of power?"

A trace of fear flashed in the eyes of the bandit leader, and he trembled and said, "That... that is a cursed place... Many people who approached... never returned..."

Hao Yang held my hand tightly, and his palm was a little wet.

I held his hand back and gave him a reassuring look.

curse?

Have gone and never returned?

It seems that this exploration journey is more dangerous than we imagined...

"Let's go," Elder Lin said in an unprecedentedly serious tone, "Let's go and take a look at the seal."

I nodded and continued walking forward with Elder Lin and Hao Yang.

The wind grew stronger, blowing up yellow sand all over the sky, blocking out the sun...

There is a strange smell in the air...

I feel like something is watching us...
