The Killer's Cleansing Manual

Chapter 3: When you see injustice, take away...take away the wallet.

Bai Shu quickly closed the kitchen door, and the two of them tore the whole chicken into two halves, scooped a bowl of soup, grabbed the steamed buns and started eating.

The chanting outside was still going on, and it sounded like it wouldn't stop for a while.

Lin Shanjuan, who was always prepared for danger, patted Bai Shu on the back of his head and said, "Go find some clean cloth and pack a few more buns before you go."

Bai Shu stuffed the last bite of the steamed bun into his mouth, his eyes sparkling as he bowed to Lin Shanjuan and clasped his hands together: "Mmmmm!"

(Boss, you are wise!)

He climbed out of the window and came back soon with a pile of monk's robes tucked under his arm. Each robe looked new and even had creases.

"Boss, is this okay?"

Lin Shanjuan looked down at her skirt, bit her lip and reached out to him: "How about... you give me something to wear first?"

Bai Shu looked down, and the two of them once again reached a strange tacit understanding in silence.

One of them was outside, while the other was inside. They quickly changed into their monk robes, stuffed their old clothes into the stove and burned them clean, then tore up another monk robe and wrapped the steamed buns in it. They only left quietly when the robes could no longer hold the buns.

The sound of chanting had stopped. Bai Shu, carrying a large bag of steamed buns like a strong hunchback, had just turned the corner when a team of heavily armored soldiers followed a monk towards him.

The distance was not far, and their conversation was clearly heard by the two.

"I need to inspect Her Royal Highness the Princess's dinner before serving it. I'll trouble you, Abbot."

The monk bowed slightly and said, "You are welcome, General."

Lin Shanjuan was stunned for a moment, scratching his ears subconsciously. He grabbed Bai Shu, who was about to run away, and asked in a low voice, "Did he just say Her Royal Highness the Princess?"

Bai Shu looked at her in horror as she nodded vigorously, his hoarse voice unable to be suppressed any further: "Boss! It's over! Why did this princess come here to worship Buddha?!"

Lin Shanjuan was completely different from him in her joy - she was still worried about not being able to find him, and she didn't expect to see him so soon, so she decisively pulled him forward -

Regardless of anything else, we have to see what the eldest princess looks like first. Even if we can't connect with her this time, we won't be afraid of making a mistake in the future.

But before they even walked out of the monks' dormitory, they saw soldiers holding torches all over the yard, lighting up the entire monks' dormitory. Now they would be discovered even if they tried to climb over the wall.

The two men had no choice but to hide in the room where the monk's robes were stolen, closed the door and hid temporarily in the monk's robes.

It was quiet outside, with only the sound of scolding coming from the direction of the kitchen. I guess the monk was woken up by the scolding.

Bai Shu apologized softly: "Amitabha Amitabha..."

He apologized with his mouth but held the steamed bun tightly in his hands. He must be really scared of being hungry!

The noise from the kitchen gradually died down. After a long while, when they thought the monks and soldiers had probably gone to bed, the two men tiptoed out with steamed buns on their backs.

As expected, many of the torches outside were extinguished, and only a few soldiers on night duty were patrolling around with heavy eyelids.

"Let's go." Lin Shanjuan lowered his voice, and the two of them slipped along the wall to the middle row of monks' dormitories.

The candles in all the houses were out, except for the room she was next to, which had a faint light and faint voices coming from inside.

"...My Lord has treated me well. Today I finally have the chance. Tell me to kill this woman!"

"Brother is right! Even if we die together tonight, it's worth it!"

"Rather Stick to your guns!"

The whispered conversation stopped Lin Shanjuan in her tracks. She stopped abruptly and leaned on the door to get a better look.

Seeing this, Bai Shu held her down, spitted a little and opened the window paper. He saw three monks holding cold swords and whispering to each other.

Lin Shanjuan rubbed his eyes and couldn't believe it - are all the monks in this temple so dishonest?

There are those who took the money but didn't do the job, those who secretly ate the chicken, and now there are three who are holding knives and want to die together.

Bai Shu waved his hands vigorously at her, signaling her not to meddle in the matter and that the best thing to do was to leave as soon as possible.

He moved too violently and accidentally touched the door with his hand. The person inside immediately shouted, "Who is it?"

Lin Shanjuan glared at him and quickly pulled him away to hide somewhere else.

After all, the identities of these three people have not been clarified yet. If they shout, the soldiers outside will surround them. Wouldn’t that be a loss?

"Where!"

Lin Shanjuan faintly heard a low cry and realized that the three men were afraid of alerting the soldiers. He quickly patted Bai Shu and said, "Separate and run to where the soldiers are. They won't dare to chase you!"

Bai Shu nodded quickly and ran away with the steamed bun on his back.

Lin Shanjuan looked around and a house not far away guarded by many soldiers caught her attention.

With so many soldiers guarding here, this guy definitely wouldn't dare to chase!

The situation was urgent, so she quickly rushed to the window of the room, opened the window with one hand, and jumped into the room without making any sound.

The Zen room was empty, and Lin Shanjuan didn't dare to walk around for fear of waking up the sleeping people, so he could only move forward slowly in the dark.

The room was completely dark, with only a faint glow from a stick of incense sticks. The wind that came in through the window she had opened flickered, and wisps of thin smoke filled the Zen room.

Lin Shanjuan was extremely sensitive to smells and always felt that the fragrance made people feel uncomfortable. She was worried that if she couldn't help coughing and scared others awake, she covered her mouth and nose and pinched out the incense.

Walking further in, she touched a rack with some clothes hanging on it. The fabric felt very soft, but when she pinched it, she felt something hard.

She carefully took it out and pinched the outline. It seemed to be a small bag lining the clothes. This reminded her of the ancient people's purses, and her eyes suddenly lit up!

Oh my God, could it be that tonight there will not only be steamed buns, but also some unexpected money?

She pulled the small bag off with force. Inside, besides some hard objects, there were also some paper-like things. Lin Shanjuan was about to take a closer look under the moonlight when she heard a shout from outside: "Kill!!!"

The sudden scream frightened Lin Shanjuan so much that she trembled and hit her head on the clothes hanger, causing her to grimace in pain.

She covered her mouth and wailed silently, then quickly looked towards the bed. The person on the bed did not seem to wake up.

She was relieved and was about to leave when the torch suddenly illuminated the window paper in front of the door, and the figure of a man wearing a helmet was reflected on the window paper.

"Your Highness! There's an assassin in the temple. We're going to capture him. Don't worry, this place is impenetrable, and nothing will go wrong!"

His voice was like a loud bell. Lin Shanjuan was afraid of being discovered, so he quickly stepped on the table and climbed onto the beam.

Fortunately, the man left with several teams of soldiers after he finished speaking. There was a lot of noise outside. Lin Shanjuan observed for a while before realizing that the person living in this house was the eldest princess.

Seeing that the people below were still motionless, she couldn't help but feel a little suspicious.

Logically speaking, with such a loud commotion, Her Royal Highness the Princess is not deaf, it is impossible that she didn't hear anything at all. Why hasn't she woken up yet?

Lin Shanjuan jumped down from the beam lightly and tiptoed to the bed.

There was indeed a person lying on the bed, but it was too dark to see their appearance clearly. Lin Shanjuan smelled a special fragrance and guessed that it was a woman, probably the eldest princess.

There was chaos everywhere, with people shouting "Catch the assassin". It was a good time to take advantage of the chaos and leave.

Lin Shanjuan turned around and was about to leave, but suddenly a figure flashed outside the window, and then something that was unclear was thrown in by Gululu.

Before she got close, she smelled the smell of gunpowder and felt something was wrong. She quickly threw herself on the bed, hugged the eldest princess, and climbed directly onto the window bed.

Putting aside other things, this is the only mission objective. I can't just die like this, otherwise I'll never be able to go back!

It was pitch black and Lin Shanjuan didn't notice Xihe's forehead hitting the foot of the bed.

The intense pain awakened her chaotic consciousness. At the same time, the fire thunder suddenly exploded. Fortunately, Lin Shanjuan covered Xihe's ears in advance, so she was not too frightened.

In the orange-red light of the explosion, Xihe was surprised to see the woman on top of him, but his vision was blurred and he couldn't see clearly. He could only make a conclusion because of the softness of her breasts when she was hugged tightly.

"Oh no! Someone threw a fire bomb into His Highness's room! Save His Highness!"

There was a scream from outside, followed by the sound of people banging on the door.

The monks' quarters were filled with wooden tables and chairs, and nothing was non-flammable except wood and cloth. Therefore, in just a few seconds, the flames filled the entire house.

The flames raged and had already licked the beams, and thick smoke and carbon monoxide filled the entire room.

Lin Shanjuan realized that the bed they were hiding in was also extremely flammable, so he quickly crawled out from under the bed and pulled out the princess, who was somewhat sober.

"You... who are you?"

Xihe was coughing and could only open his eyes a crack.

Her head was groggy, and she seemed to be in a dream. She walked with one foot deep and one foot shallow, and could not even stand steadily. After a few steps, she fell limply into Lin Shan's tired arms.

Her body was out of control, but her consciousness was still clear.

Lin Shanjuan was also choked by the smoke and tears were streaming down her face. She hurriedly tore a piece of cloth from the bed curtain, wet it with the tea on the bedside, and tied it on the princess's and her own faces.

Fortunately, there were many windows in the monks' dormitory, so she carried the princess on her back and left through the window.

Just as she took a step outside, several more fire bombs were thrown into the room. The heat wave from the explosion knocked her to the ground, and the entire monk's dormitory was completely destroyed!

Lin Shanjuan felt as if his bones were about to be broken. He struggled to get up, picked up the princess who had fallen on him and was unharmed, and moved closer to the wall where she and Bai Shu had put their horses.

If Bai Shu escapes, he will definitely come here, so she might as well go and wait for him first.

Never before had he felt so embarrassed in his life. Lin Shanjuan became more and more angry as he ran, gnashing his teeth and muttering:

"You must remember that it was Lin Shanjuan who saved you. If you show up ungrateful and want to kill me when we meet again, I will really curse you!"

The soldiers outside who were carrying water and preparing to rush in to rescue were so anxious when they saw the fire that they started shouting while busy putting out the fire.

"Your Highness! Your Highness!"

"Quickly put out the fire! Save His Highness!"

All the people in the temple seemed to have gathered in front of the bombed house. Although the fire had already shown that if there were still people inside, they would surely die, but the person inside was Her Royal Highness the Princess, so they had to see the body either alive or dead, and they had to go in and see what was going on no matter what!

The people putting out the fire were screaming loudly, and there were dense groups of soldiers patrolling outside to check for assassins. Bai Shu escaped the assassins' pursuit and began to look for Lin Shanjuan everywhere.

After searching around for a long time, I finally saw two figures under the big willow tree in front of the lecture hall.

He came running over: "Gugugugu~"

Lin Shan was so angry that he just yelled, "What are you talking about? Everyone is busy putting out the fire, come here quickly!"

Bai Shu ran over immediately and saw that Lin Shanjuan's face was covered with black dust and his hair was covered with filth. He looked so miserable that it was beyond words.

"Boss, what's going on... are you bombed?"

Lin Shanjuan felt like he was about to spit out a puff of black smoke. "Isn't it obvious? Do you have to wait for my hair to become a mess for you to see it?"

Bai Shu tried to suppress his laughter, his face puffed up, and he shook his head desperately.

He noticed the woman lying on the side again: "Then this person..."

He saw Xihe's face clearly in the light of the fire. Such a beautiful woman, and she was in the temple. The only one they had heard of by chance was the Princess. His legs immediately went weak.

"Hey, this, this! Why is this princess here?!"
