The rural daughter-in-law of the bank president

Chapter 7 The commotion caused by the luxury car entering the village

Before the car arrived at the door, Lele saw his father, mother and grandfather waiting for him at the door with great joy.

The sunlight shines through the gaps in the leaves, casting mottled light and shadows on the open space in front of Lele's house.

There are two canals in front of Lele's house. Because they intersect, a small bridge was built. The bridge is a bit narrow, but Wei Wuya is a good driver and he drove across the small bridge that just filled the wheelbase without any effort.

The wheels rolled over the gravel road connecting to the open space in front of the door, making a rustling sound. In front of Lele's house was compacted mud land.

The car stopped at the gate.

Lele felt a little uneasy. Big G was too conspicuous, and so was her outfit. She seemed to have heard the gossip in the village.

Without waiting for her to open the car door, Wei Wuya got out of the car first, "Hello uncle, hello aunt, hello grandpa." He walked to the passenger seat while greeting them, opened the door for Lele, and protected Lele's head like a gentleman.

Lele became more and more uneasy. She put her legs together, slid her buttocks down, and her feet finally touched the ground. She felt relieved and was about to stand up and walk away, but the heel of her high heels dug into the mud, and she lost her balance and fell forward.

It just happened to hit Wei Wuya's big belly.

Lele panicked and looked for something to support herself with her hands. Wei Wuya came over and supported Lele's waist with one hand.

He was standing steadily, but the moment his waist was touched, Lele felt unwell.

She suddenly exploded.

She pushed Wei Wuya's hand away, kicked hard, and the high-heeled shoe was thrown out. She used the same trick with the other foot, and the shoe was thrown out too. She was standing barefoot on the muddy ground.

She took a deep breath, sorted out her emotions, forced a smile, and shouted, "Mom, help me get a pair of shoes!"

He gave Wei Wuya another fake smile and stepped back slightly.

The family of three looked at the elegant and gorgeous Lele getting out of the car, and then saw her throwing her shoes, and they were stunned.

When Lele's mother heard Lele calling her, she hurriedly said "ah" and walked into the house to get her shoes.

The aunt next door and her family came out specially to watch the fun. The villagers in the nearby fields also stopped what they were doing, and some of them ran to the bridge head and gathered around. They looked at the car and Lele curiously, talking to each other and whispering.

Lele's father had a big smile on his face, but when he saw Lele kicking off his shoes, he looked annoyed and said, "Lele, this is outrageous!"

When Lele saw his father's expression, he lowered his head again and dared not speak.

"Wuya, come, come in quickly!" After saying this to Lele, Dad happily bowed to Wei Wuya.

Wei Wuya didn't move. "Uncle, wait a minute, wait until Lele puts on his shoes, then we'll go in together." After saying that, he looked at Lele again.

Lele sighed and wanted to pick up the shoes, but it was inconvenient, so he pouted and stood still.

Wei Wuya smiled imperceptibly, bent down, picked up Lele's shoes and handed them to Lele.

Lele took the shoes and said "Thank you" in a whisper.

Mom searched the house for a long time and took out a pair of handmade cloth shoes that were covered in dust. She patted the door and walked over to hand them to Lele.

Lele was about to put it on after being put down, but Wei Wuya frowned and asked, "How about I carry you in?" Wei Wuya said in a loud voice, and Lele's father beside him showed a strange expression.

Lele was so scared that he quickly put on his shoes and ran into the house.

Wei Wuya shook his head and went around to the trunk to get the suitcase.

Lele's father is in poor health and cannot lift heavy objects, but Lele's mother is a good lifter. She took the box and carried it into the house without pushing it.

Lele's father let Wei Wuya into the house, which was still the main room from more than ten years ago.

When Lin Xianglan came here, the house had just been renovated and was now a bit run-down. Rural houses are made of mud and wooden beams, and their service life is very short.

Wei Wuya glanced at the mottled earthen wall and the dust that occasionally fell from the cracks in the roof, and his brows furrowed unconsciously.

He looked around the room and saw that Lele had rushed into some room.

He hesitated for a moment and said, "Uncle, I'll go back first. I have something to do tonight. My dad will be off on the weekend, so we can come over together."

Lele's father nodded and restrained his smile. "Okay, it won't be long. Go back and get busy. Call me before you come over."

Wei Wuya paused for a moment, and seeing that Lele still hadn't come out, he turned around and walked out without saying anything.

Lele's father, however, saw what Wei Wuya meant and quickly called out to his daughter, "Lele, Wuya is leaving, come out and see him off."

Wei Wuya didn't stop and walked straight to the car. He got in but didn't start the car immediately.

After a long time, Lele walked out of the gate, with her mother pushing her from behind. She had changed her clothes, wearing a loose T-shirt and a pair of jeans.

Lele sighed, and his professional fake smile came on again. Wei Wuya saw Lele and smiled unconsciously. He waved his hand, started the car, stepped on the accelerator, and drove away.

As soon as the car left, the aunt next door came over to greet them. "Hey, this is Lele. I haven't seen her for a few years. She's getting prettier." The aunt was pinching melon seeds in one hand and spitting out the shells from her mouth. "Is that Lele's girlfriend?"

Lele's mother smiled and replied, "Yes, we're getting engaged on the 18th."

My aunt spat out a mouthful of melon seed shells and said, "Wow, so fast! Where did you find this? You look very rich."

Seeing that his aunt wanted to have a long chat, Lele smiled awkwardly and said, "Aunt, you guys chat, I'll go in first." Without waiting for his aunt to reply, he ran into the house.

The villagers over there saw the car leave and started chatting, and they all gathered over, wanting to hear how this rich man came about.

Lele's father looked at so many people gathering around him, put away his smile, coughed, and Lele's mother stopped talking.

"Hey, they're getting engaged soon, it's a happy event, just talk about it. It's rare for our village to have a child as promising as Lele. The university should be the best school that anyone in the village has ever gotten into, right?" My aunt spit out melon seed shells, looking like she was enjoying the fun.

"Are they classmates? Or?" asked the uncle with the same surname.

"No, that's Lele's godmother's son, Lele's son." Lele's mother said helplessly as she saw that everyone was not willing to give up until they heard the answer.

"Oh oh oh, yes, I forgot, this girl has been lucky since she was a child. Her godfather is the bank president, right?" another aunt echoed.

"Yes." Lele's mother couldn't close her mouth.

"Tsk tsk tsk, when you were pregnant, you said you didn't want it. It seemed like you took a lot of medicine?" The aunt next to her started again.

"What I mean is, the Chinese doctor said after taking my pulse that it was another girl, and prescribed abortion pills. I took so many doses of Chinese medicine, but the pregnancy didn't end. Later, I even drank alcohol... I regret it so much. Do you think our Lele's IQ would be higher if she hadn't been so troubled? It was her own fault, so she had a difficult delivery. But if it hadn't been a difficult delivery, she wouldn't have met her godmother..." Lele's mother seemed to have opened up the conversation and started talking about those old things again.
