Goodwin, a legendary alchemist who only appeared in ancient historical records, was the previous owner of the Traveler's Ring in his hand. He had a close relationship with himself and the Society of Life Alchemy. He was also the same person as Windgun, who was active in the Four Heroes period, created Puppet Alchemy, promoted Life Alchemy, and created the Alchemy Dragon.

Zhou Ning first saw this name in the diary of Holwig, the exchange student from Luins who was transformed into a monster by him when he just crossed over. He was transformed by Professor Bislock, a senior member of the Life Alchemy Society, using the alchemy notes left by Goodwin, and was completely corrupted.

Later, due to various coincidences, he learned Goodwin's puppet alchemy and life alchemy. What's even more outrageous is that Goodwin is, to some extent, also his personal grandfather and adopted son.

After using the simulator to travel to "War of the Gods", the One Piece version of himself had Goodwin's soul living in the ring at the beginning. In exchange for teaching his own life alchemy, the Pirate King Zhou Ning helped Goodwin use alchemy to reshape his body - a baby like the legendary Homonculus, and raised him up. The name Windgun was also chosen by the Pirate King Zhou Ning.

After the Pirate King Zhou Ning was assassinated, Goodwin's whereabouts became a mystery. The only clue was that he later made a ring with teleportation capabilities, and this ring came into his hands by chance.

Zhou Ning once thought that if Goodwin were still alive, he would at least extend his hand and greet him with a smile: "Be my son!" But now, he never expected to meet him here.

What a coincidence! Zhou Ning couldn't help but exclaim in his heart, wondering if the other party was the Goodwin he knew.

Because he really couldn't connect the two things that spanned such a long time.

Zhou Ning cast his gaze towards the symbols and words on the wall, stretched out his hand and felt around for a while, and sure enough, he felt a sunken area on the side, and it was a palm print.

He immediately stretched out his hand, placed his palm on the palm print, and pushed it in.

With the sound of gears turning, the stone compartment slowly popped out.

Compared with the previous secret compartment, there is almost nothing useful left in this compartment. Compared with forging materials, the shelf life of alchemical materials is shorter, and most of the spirituality contained in them has been exhausted over the long river of time. After searching for a long time, only one useful material was found.

One of the items, called the 鵷尾花 (Greek Tail Flower), could be used to refine an agility-enhancing mongoose potion. It was kept in a well-sealed container, still in good condition. There were six of them, a superior substitute for the raw material: the leopard-eared cat's tail. Zhou Ning had made mongoose potions several times before, but using the 鵷尾花 (Greek Tail Flower) enhanced the potion's effectiveness and eliminated any negative side effects. In his previous life, it was quite expensive. After all, agility determined movement speed, attack speed, dodge ability, and also increased ranged attack power, making it crucial for all classes.

Zhou Ning put away the pheasant tail flower. This thing, like the elm wood and magic iron, was priceless, so the more the better for him.

In addition to this material, Zhou Ning also found a book in the secret compartment with a stupid name, "The Starry Sky and Me: Goodwin's Alchemy Experience". Thinking back to the many books he wrote under the pseudonym Windgun, he didn't expect that his adopted son (doubtful) was such a prolific writer.

Book: [The Starry Sky and I: Goodwin's Complete Alchemy]

Legendary Books

You can gain a lot of alchemy experience after reading it.

Prerequisite skills: Ancient Elvish (Elementary)

Click to read.

Like the books I got from Grand Astrologer Osgard, these were relatively rare books on life skills. Reading them would grant a significant amount of life skill experience, and there was a chance I'd learn the recipes. As for the ancient Elvish language for the prerequisite skills, it was actually quite simple. I could learn it in the library.

After putting the book in a corner of the ring, Zhou Ning stood up and cast his eyes on the silver coffin on the ground. In the previous battle, the coffin fell heavily to the ground. The top coffin lid was bounced open by the tornado and there were signs of cracks, but under his deliberate control, it did not completely collapse.

Zhou Ning walked to the coffin and, as expected, saw a corpse lying inside. Unlike the corpses he had seen before, the corpse inside seemed to have been preserved using antiseptic alchemical materials. It was quite well preserved. The corpse was handsome, with a tuft of beard on his chin, a calm and solemn face, and was wearing an alchemist's robe with intricate patterns. He was holding a gorgeous magic wand inlaid with gems on his chest.

Considering the beginning of [War of the Titans] when Goodwin was staying in the ring, if the two are really the same person, then Goodwin most likely left here in the form of a soul. After all, for an alchemist with profound attainments in life alchemy, it is not difficult to do this.

Ignoring the magic wand that was obviously of epic quality and the large number of funerary objects in the coffin, Zhou Ning took a deep breath and reached out to close the coffin lid again.

Zhou Ning had some vague guesses about the situation here. If nothing unexpected happened, Goodwin and the explorers who broke in here should have managed to escape from here together.

It's not surprising that a great astrologer and scholar like Goodwin knew how to escape.

What's more, he might have other helpers... Zhou Ning thought of the empty coffin of Ranger General Talonya in the middle tomb chamber in the left corridor.

At this moment, he suddenly heard a sharp roar and the sound of flapping wings. Without even looking, Zhou Ning realized that it was the remaining obsidian gargoyle that broke free from its restraints.

However, its energy had been almost exhausted when it released the tornado just now, and even its movements had become slow. Zhou Ning fired only three shots, and the alchemy circle hidden in its chest had dents and cracks.

[Due to your skill [Chase], your damage is increased by 30%]

[Skill [Silver Bullet] takes effect, this attack inflicts additional light damage and true damage.]

[Skill [Armament Haki] takes effect, this attack deals a large amount of true damage.]

[You dealt 1943 critical damage to the Obsidian Gargoyle!]

With the support of various buff skills, even the output of ordinary attacks was ridiculously high. Thirty seconds later, the remaining obsidian gargoyle collapsed and turned into a pile of rubble, contributing 9 experience points and a gargoyle core.

After putting away the core, Zhou Ning left the tomb on the left, hesitated for a moment in front of the other two doors, reached out and pushed open the stone door on the right. Similar to the corridor on the left, the stone door on the right was also the "soul resting place" in the ancient elf tomb. However, what was strange was that there were only a few sparse evil spirits in the "soul resting place" here.

Low risk really means low reward. After killing several evil spirits here, Zhou Ning searched for a while and found almost nothing. He only got a few undead cores of low purity and an alchemical formula for the potion of immortality.

Potion of Immortality: After taking it, it will increase your armor by 2000 points and last for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

This recipe is a must-have for MT when exploring dungeons. It sells very well, and there is a chance to comprehend it on your own after being promoted to an expert alchemist. This would be considered as getting it in advance, so it is not a loss.

There was only one door left to explore. Zhou Ning came to the half-open door and pushed it open with force.

Just as he expected, the door was in a mess. The monsters inside had been cleared out. The first thing that caught his eye was six or seven corpses, one of which was lying in front of the door, and he almost stepped on it.

These corpses were dressed differently, some wore classical black robes, and some wore jackets similar to those of Northern pirates. After taking a look, Zhou Ning squatted in front of one of the corpses.

This is……

Zhou Ning's face showed a look of surprise. This corpse, no, two of the corpses were wearing clothes that looked like alchemist robes. Each of them had a badge on their chest with an eye on it, and two mysterious patterns and a green leaf painted under the eye.

This is the emblem of the Life Alchemy Association.

If I remember correctly, the Life Alchemy Association was originally just a small fraternity. It originated from a few alchemists from Luins who accidentally found an ancient ruin containing a large number of ancient alchemy formulas, and thus developed.

Could it be that the legendary ancient monument is here?
