Chapter 1024 The Second Journey to the World of the Fire Thief (2)

You cast your gaze upon those humans. Compared to those on Earth, perhaps due to a lack of sunlight and food, or perhaps due to the invasion of darkness, they appear shorter and thinner, their bodies deformed by the dark element. Most of them wield fire magic, and the most powerful among the dozen or so is only roughly equivalent to a Sequence 8 or Sequence 9 Beyonder. If this is the average level of humans in this world, then the power system of this world should not be too low.

You don't understand the state of the world. Regardless of the situation these people are in, whether it's worth helping them or not, you plan to wait and listen to what they have to say before considering it, because your spiritual intuition tells you that these people meet the requirements to become "anchors."

They clearly retain their rationality, their eyes clear, and they cooperate well with one another, but they are still powerless against the multitude of knights, ghosts, stitched monsters, and other dark monsters that emerge from the darkness. When you appear before them with the monsters that have been transformed into puppets, they are almost on the verge of despair.

But then you raised your left hand, pressed down your hat, and, wielding the Star Staff, you slowly stepped forward, "grafting" the monsters' attacking intentions together. They launched a fierce attack, biting each other frantically, and the one-on-one battles ended in death. More monsters that hadn't been "grafted" also followed you like puppets. And so, you passed through these monsters and walked in front of these humans, watching their expressions change from despair to shock, and then to utter reverence.

[The language these humans spoke was similar to the ancient Feysac language. You used the power of the "Wish" of the "Miracle Master" and made a random wish, easily mastering their language.]

The area they were in was called Odelheim, a small city on the edge of the Bheim Mage Kingdom. It was a land of magicians, ruled by a magic school called Dragon Academy.

[This world began as a dense, undifferentiated fog, until a fire appeared on the ground. The flames caused differentiation, giving rise to cold and heat, life and death, light and darkness. The so-called primitive life forms were born in the darkness. Lured by the flames, they found the King's Soul around the primordial fire.]

The three original creatures who received the King's Soul shaped themselves through the power of fire, becoming a towering race of beings commonly known as the Gods. They are: Nito, the First of the Dead, symbolizing death; the Witch of Izalith, symbolizing life; and Gwyn, the Sun King, symbolizing light. They became the kings of this world, akin to the creator gods.

Gwyn? Nito? The old witch? You fell into thought. This sounds familiar! Isn't this Dark Souls? When you were Zhou Mingrui on Earth, you were also a seasoned keyboard warrior and played the game Dark Souls. And the image you "saw" earlier through your divination ability must be the King's Soul, or Essence. If you do nothing afterwards and allow an undead to complete the Fire Transmission, the process of Essence re-aggregating, this undoubtedly perfectly conforms to the Law of Beyonder Characteristic Aggregation and is also very logical.

[After gaining a preliminary understanding of the worldview, the fog of history you knew began to clear up, proving that your speculation was correct.]

It's now known that Amon is also in this world. So, should he demonstrate his power here, gather a new group of devout believers? Or even recreate a Marionette City? This isn't something to consider; it's an inevitable choice, in order to maintain self-awareness and achieve a balance between divinity and humanity.

So when they asked about your origins, you smiled and told them without hesitation: You come from another world, a follower of the Fool, and have come to spread the glory of our Lord. In that world, there is no need to fear darkness, and you can see the sun every day when you wake up. And you came to bring light to this world.

They were skeptical, but then, like a magic trick, you pulled out lantern after lantern, each one ablaze with bright flames, and distributed them to them. You also pulled out a cross, stained with verdigris and protruding with several spikes. It completely illuminated the darkness and purified the darkness from invading them. Even rings of darkness appeared on their bodies, completely dispelling the curse of the undead, and transforming them into normal people.

At this moment, you see their expressions changing, unable to contain their excitement. This scene reminds them of the primordial fire that brought the first light to the world, and of Gwyn, the "Lord of Sunshine," who once dominated the Age of Fire.

In earlier myths and legends, the appearance of the undead symbolized the end of the primordial fire, and the world was about to enter an era of extinguished fire. Could this seemingly bookish young man truly be able to bring light to the world?

You are using the historical pore image of the "Undark Cross" originating from the "Ancient Sun God." Although it has long been shattered, anything the "Ancient Scholar" once possessed will only accompany you in a different form.

Over the next few days, you followed these humans back to Odelheim. Based on their descriptions, you, capable of bringing "fire," "warmth," "light," and "food," were considered a savior. Meanwhile, within Odelheim, the faith of the "Fool" began to spread, spreading from Odelheim throughout the entire Mage Kingdom of Bheim. This allowed you to quickly harvest a batch of "anchors."

In this world invaded by darkness, the Fool's miracle undoubtedly represents hope. In a short period of time, it spread from the Mage Kingdom of Bheim to Catalina, then to Thorrond, where the White Cult prevails, to the Five Finger River, to Astra, to Kalim, to all human nations, and finally to the Kingdom of God, quickly providing you with a stable "anchor." And you began preparing for your advancement to Sequence 0.

You begin to recall the method of advancing to Sequence 0: accommodating the Fool's "uniqueness," the remaining two "Attendant of Mysteries" Beyonder traits besides your own, and the supplementary material being the mastery of at least a quarter of the Mist of History. The advancement ritual involves fooling time, history, or fate once.

The first two have already been separated by your own demotion during your journey, preventing the further resurgence of the Celestial Will. All you need to do is repeat the ritual that fools time, history, or fate. Re-become Sequence 0, then control and integrate all of this world's essence, and finally accommodate another uniqueness, completely freeing yourself from the influence of the Celestial Will.

In a sense, this is a direct competition between you and Amon, and you must complete it in a hurry. You have no doubt that the cunning and cautious opponent may have noticed you long ago.

[As a "diviner" at the level of an Angel King, you have always been able to make predictions of considerable power. Lately, you have even been able to see some blurry images, and have gained some inspiration.]
