Ling Xiuhan's heart ached. He took a step forward and tried to hold Lan Yunyan's hand: "Yunyan, give me a chance to make up for my mistakes. I will prove to you that I truly love you."

Lan Yunyan broke free from his hand and said coldly, "No need for that. From now on, we will go our separate ways and have nothing to do with each other."

After saying that, she turned and walked to the bed, lying down and closing her eyes. Ling Xiuhan stood there, looking at her back, his heart filled with endless regret and helplessness. He knew that this time, he really lost her.

Ling Xiuhan stayed in Qingyun Sect for several days. Despite his repeated attempts to approach Lan Yunyan, she always refused to see him. Ultimately, he had no choice but to leave and return to the Holy Palace.

After returning to the Holy Palace, Ling Xiuhan became even more taciturn. He no longer resisted his parents' arrangements and even began to actively cooperate with the wedding preparations.

However, all this was just to paralyze his parents and let them relax their vigilance. Deep in his heart, he still longed to see Lan Yunyan again, even if it was just to tell her his true feelings.

Meanwhile, Lan Yunyan's life in Qingyun Sect was not easy either. Although Lin Wan'er and Yun Mengyao were always by her side, she was still feeling down.

Whenever it was late at night and everyone was asleep, she would always think of Ling Xiuhan and every little detail of their past. Those sweet memories were like sharp blades, piercing her heart again and again.

A month later, Ling Xiuhan and Su Yao's wedding took place as planned. The entire Holy Palace was decorated with lights and was packed with guests.

However, in this joyous atmosphere, Ling Xiuhan's eyes were unusually empty. He mechanically completed all the rituals, as if none of this had anything to do with him.

After the wedding, Ling Xiuhan was sent back to his bridal chamber. He sat quietly beside the bed, Lan Yunyan's image emerging in his mind.

Just then, light footsteps were heard outside the door. Then, the door was gently pushed open, and a familiar figure walked in—it was Lan Yunyan.

Ling Xiuhan was greatly surprised by Lan Yunyan's appearance. He couldn't believe his eyes and thought he was dreaming. "Yunyan? Is that really you?" he asked in a trembling voice.

Lan Yunyan nodded, a complex light flashing in her eyes.

"It's me." She answered softly.

Ling Xiuhan stood up excitedly and wanted to go forward and hug her, but was stopped by Lan Yunyan.

"Don't come over." She said coldly, "I just came to see you and tell you something."

Ling Xiuhan was stunned, not understanding what she meant. "What's the matter?" he asked.

Lan Yunyan took a deep breath and said slowly, "I'm leaving. Tomorrow morning, I'll set off for the North Sea. There's a secret place there that's said to make people forget all their worries. I want to give it a try."

Ling Xiuhan was horrified upon hearing this and hurriedly said, "No! You can't go there! It's very dangerous there. What if something happens?"

Lan Yunyan smiled, her eyes filled with determination. "Don't worry, I'm ready. Besides, what's the point of living in my current state?"

Ling Xiuhan's heart ached. He rushed forward and grasped Lan Yunyan's hand. "Yunyan, I know I was wrong. Please give me a chance to make amends. Let's leave here together and start over, okay?"

Lan Yunyan shook her head, tears flashing in her eyes. "It's too late. Everything is too late. I've made up my mind."

After saying this, she broke free from Ling Xiuhan's hand and turned to walk out. Ling Xiuhan tried to catch up, but was stopped by a powerful force. He could only watch Lan Yunyan disappear into the night.

Ling Xiuhan watched Lan Yunyan disappear into the night, his heart aching. He slumped weakly onto the bed, his hands clenched into fists, his eyes filled with rage. He knew that this time, he had truly lost her.

The next morning, the sky above the Holy Palace was gloomy and oppressive, as if foreshadowing some ominous omen. Ling Xiuhan sat by the bed, his eyes bloodshot from a sleepless night.

He had only one thought in his mind: no matter what, he must find Lan Yunyan and stop her from going to the North Sea.

"Brother Xiuhan, did you not sleep well last night?" Su Yao gently opened the door and walked in. Seeing Ling Xiuhan's haggard appearance, she felt distressed.

Ling Xiu looked at her coldly without saying anything. He was in no mood to pay attention to Su Yao at the moment and just wanted to leave here as soon as possible.

"Brother Xiuhan, today is our first day of marriage. Can you accompany me for a walk?" Su Yao asked tentatively.

"I'm busy." Ling Xiuhan responded coldly, then stood up and prepared to leave the bridal chamber.

"Where are you going?" Su Yao hurriedly grabbed his hand, her eyes full of worry.

"I have something important to do." Ling Xiu Han broke free from her hand and strode out of the room.

Su Yao stood there, a complex look in her eyes. She knew Ling Xiuhan still couldn't let go of Lan Yunyan, but she didn't intend to give up. She believed that one day, Ling Xiuhan would change his mind.

Meanwhile, Lan Yunyan had already set out on her journey to the Northern Sea. She walked alone on the rugged mountain path, her steps firm and powerful. Though her heart was filled with pain and despair, it also held a glimmer of determination and courage.

"Yunyan, have you really made up your mind?" Lin Wan'er followed behind her, her face full of worry.

"I have made up my mind." Lan Yunyan said lightly with a firm look in her eyes.

"But it's really dangerous there..." Yun Mengyao also advised.

"I know." Lan Yunyan stopped and looked back at them, "But this is my own choice, I have to face it."

Lin Wan'er and Yun Mengyao exchanged a glance, each seeing the helplessness in the other's eyes. They knew Lan Yunyan had made up her mind, and no amount of persuasion would be of any use.

"Then you must be careful." Lin Wan'er held Lan Yunyan's hand and warned.

"Don't worry, I will." Lan Yunyan patted the back of her hand gently, turned around and continued walking.

Elsewhere, Ling Xiuhan finally broke free from Su Yao's entanglement and quickly left the Holy Palace. He ran all the way towards the Qingyun Sect.
