Ten diligent days: the fields are still

The reconstruction project of Houdoumen finally reached its final completion moment before the New Year, and that day happened to be the 26th day of the twelfth lunar month.

After a long period of construction and hard work, all the projects have been successfully completed.

Yuan Lai left home before daybreak, not even having time for breakfast. She rushed to the construction site, eager to witness this important moment.

When Yuan Lai arrived, there were already many workers on site busy doing the final finishing work.

The branches of the cloudwood that had grown wildly not long ago have now died above the pond. Several experienced craftsmen are struggling to pull out the dead branches, sometimes bending over to drag them hard, sometimes raising axes to chop off branches that are difficult to pull out. After working for a while, they finally cleaned up the area.

The remaining workers also began painting the observation deck, meticulously applying every inch of the wooden surface to ensure the new paint would be evenly applied and durable.

In the sunlight, the new paint surface gleams with a faint luster, making the entire observation deck look brand new.

The previously ordered goods arrived on time. A truck loaded with various items slowly stopped at the intersection, and the driver skillfully jumped out and opened the cargo door.

Several strong men quickly stepped forward, unloaded the goods from the car one by one, and then carried them to the room with a steep door at the back and put them in their respective places.

Yuan Lai walked quickly to the gate and found the object covered with red cloth.

She lifted a corner of the curtain covering the top, and instantly, a plaque with white characters on a blue background came into view, with "No. 58 Houdoumen" prominently written on it.

The village chief brought a long ladder and leaned it against the wall. While holding the ladder steady, he said to Yuan Lai, "How about I call someone to help you?"

Yuan Lai shook his head without hesitation and answered firmly, "No, Village Chief, this little thing won't bother me. Just let me hang it up myself and put a perfect end to our back steep gate!"

As she spoke, she took the hammer handed to her by the village chief and climbed up the shaky bamboo ladder with nimble movements.

She took down the house number hanging from the wall, replaced it with a new one, and pulled a long, thin nail from her pocket, gripping it tightly in her hand. Then, picking up the hammer, she carefully aimed the nail at the center of the wall and swung it hard, sending a crisp, resounding knock echoing through the air.

After the first nail was successfully embedded in the wall, Yuan Lai breathed a sigh of relief, but her hands did not stop moving. With one hand holding the wall to maintain balance, she quickly took out the second, third, and fourth nails with the other hand, and fixed them in the same way on the other three corners of the doorplate.

Yuan Lai gently jumped down the ladder and stood a little further away to carefully examine his masterpiece. He saw that the doorplate was hanging there upright, with the horizontal and vertical lines as straight as if measured with a ruler, appearing exceptionally neat.

Behind the kitchen, a lush artificial lawn stretches out like a green carpet. When spring comes, some grass seeds will be sown and it will grow into a real lawn.

Yuan Lai specially had a river dug to semi-surround the entire youth home and connect it to the pond.

The river is not wide, and as long as you have the courage, you can choose to jump across it. However, Yuan Lai placed a simple wooden bridge on it.

Slowly walking down the wooden bridge, we arrived at the open space outside the kitchen. Originally, there should have been a huge dancing mirror inlaid here, but due to the limited skills of the construction workers, it was difficult to make the broken mirror as unique as the brothers', so they finally decided to give up the restoration work of this mirror.

I just replaced it with a complete large mirror.

The mirror was very clear. Yuan Lai stretched out his legs, but the mirror didn't give him the effect of having long legs, nor did it give him the happiness that he and his friends had spent hundreds of dollars to get.

Looking forward, there are neatly arranged fences and colorful flower beds, forming a beautiful landscape.

For this area, Yuan Lai did not ask the construction workers to make too many changes, but only asked them to reinforce the original fence to ensure its stability and safety.

I also selected some flowers and trees from the flower market that bloom all year round, are the most universal, and are the easiest to grow.

Turning right, a spacious courtyard came into view. In the center of the courtyard, near the flower bed, Yuan Lai had a small fountain built.

The water hit the rocks at the bottom of the pool, creating ripples. The fountain was surrounded by a circle of rainbow night-blooming cereus, flowers Yuan Lai had carefully selected from the flower shop run by Lin Qiao and Ji Ran.

The new variety of Epiphyllum that Ji Ran cultivated had significantly improved its ability to adapt to the environment compared to more common varieties. Even in this cold weather, it remained vibrant, its leaves retaining their emerald green color, showing no signs of withering or decaying.

Moreover, the petals of the rainbow cereus are similar in shape to the leaves. From a distance, it looks like countless small and exquisite green flowers in full bloom, adding a unique touch of freshness to the entire fountain.

The original kitchen has been completely rebuilt using authentic wood panels, perfectly recreating the kitchen's appearance in the latter part of Season 1. Since cooking isn't usually done here, there's no need to worry too much about accidents like fires.

As for pots, pans, and utensils, they are not within the scope of consideration.

Walking out of the kitchen is the brand new room No. 1. The room is paved with gray tiles, and when the lights are on, the whole house looks particularly bright.

Four sturdy wooden beds are placed in the four corners of the room, echoing each other. In the center of the room, a spacious wardrobe is placed against the wall, providing ample storage space and adding a sense of stability to the entire room.

In front of the window, two long wooden tables stand side by side, with some ornaments randomly placed on them. However, Yuan Lai will continue to enrich the variety of items on the tables in the future to make this place more lively.

Her eyes moved to the wall, where a striking artwork hung. Yuan Lai wanted to restore the original artwork, but after searching for a long time, she was still not satisfied.

After careful consideration, she finally decided to take a different approach and find someone to customize a unique embroidery style.
