Reborn Villain's Creed

Chapter 9: Trouble at Division 4

"Three days have passed. Can anyone give me some useful information?"

"What's going on at the Intelligence Bureau?"

"What about the Counter-Terrorism Bureau?"

In the Fourteenth Division's council hall, the unpleasant questions were harsher and harsher, so cold and gloomy that the soldiers present dared not even breathe.

To be precise, they were standing because they didn't dare to sit.

As a special operations team, this was the first time that the commander asked so many questions and the first time he got so angry.

That's right.

They always receive a task, get detailed or not detailed information, and then take action.

This is the first time that almost nothing is certain like now.

However, so much time has passed, the boss is about to be buried, and they still have no useful information. Anyone would be anxious.

Zhan Chengfeng turned around in front of the whiteboard covered with clues and said to the silent people, "I don't care what method you use. Within 24 hours, I want to know who this fat guy is!"

"Yes, sir!"

Several people from the Intelligence Department responded and took action.

Some of them used computers, some made phone calls, probably contacting people around them who might be useful in order to find out who the target person was.

Mo Wan looked at the noisy and messy hall, and his brows had been slightly furrowed since he came in.

She thought that Zhan Chengfeng would be chasing the murderer all over the city at this time, but who would have thought that they couldn't even find the mastermind behind it.

Mo Wan walked to the whiteboard, looked at the photos and key information written on it, and his eyes stopped on the code name "Three Fatty".

"As far as I know, the 14th branch was established in Funan two years ago."

Hearing her words, the busy soldiers looked up at her and each other, wondering who she was or how she got in.

Mo Wan turned around and looked at Zhan Chengfeng who came over. "It's been two years, and you still don't know who the fat guy is?"

Liang Chengjian saw her and immediately stood up. "How did you get in? Get out of here!"

He said he was going to pull her out.

She really just kept adding fuel to the fire. As soon as her boss got angry, she added fuel to the fire.

Mo Wan didn't move, only glancing at Liang Chengjian. "If you kick me out, I'm afraid you won't be able to catch the murderer even within 24 hours, even on your boss's seventh day."

Liang Chengjian wanted her to stop playing tricks.

Zhan Chengfeng was silent for a moment, then said to Liang Chengjian, "Bring her to my office."

Mo Wan glanced at Liang Chengjian and left directly with Zhan Chengfeng.

Zhan Chengfeng waited for her to enter the office, closed the door and asked, "How did you get in?"

Unlike the rage just now, his voice was deep and calm, the same as before.

Mo Wan told the truth: "A sister brought me in."

"Do you know Bai Yu?"

"No." Mo Wan shrugged. "Maybe she knows me?"

Bai Yu was one of the members of the team that rescued the Chicago cruise ship, so he naturally knew her, but he didn't know why she did this.

Zhan Chengfeng looked at the calm and indifferent girl and didn't care about her coming in. "Do you know who the fat guy is?"

Mo Wan asked him back, "How did you get this information?"

Zhan Chengfeng pushed the computer screen towards her. "This is the man who planted the bomb on the plane. We've been interrogating him for two days, and this is the only useful information we've found."

Mo Wan looked at the suspect, who was dying on the surveillance camera. "Didn't he tell me who the fat guy was?"

Zhan Chengfeng said: "He didn't know him either, he just said that this person asked him to do it."

Mo Wan raised the curtain upon hearing this and looked at Zhan Chengfeng, who was leaning against his desk. "The third fat guy would only have the guts to blow up a sewer. He wouldn't dare to do something like blowing up an airplane."

"Whether he dares or not, we'll only know after the trial. The problem now is that we've used all our connections, but we still can't find out who this person is."

"He is just a small-time figure in Funan who can barely be called famous."

Mo Wan pulled a chair and sat down across from Zhan Chengfeng, looking up at him. "Major Zhan, you can't find anyone like this. Either your people are useless, or you don't want to tell us about your connections."

First of all, the 14th Division, the Intelligence Bureau and the Counter-Terrorism Bureau are independent departments, but the three departments have close cooperation.

Secondly, if these three departments join forces, even the Red Gate in its heyday would be wary of them.

So we can rule out the possibility that humans are useless.

It's not a question of ability, so the only thing left is that I don't want to tell him this.

Zhan Chengfeng was tall, so he was standing.

Mo Wan was short to begin with, so she was sitting.

The two men have a huge difference in height and position, but their aura is equally matched, and the latter is even slightly superior.

Mo Wan looked at Zhan Chengfeng and said calmly, "It seems you are in trouble."

This trouble does not come from the enemy, but from within.

Zhan Chengfeng looked into her beautiful and cunning eyes and was silent for a long time. "Give me a name."

He didn't want her to get involved before and asked her to study hard.

Now, in order to find out the murderer of his boss, he finally came to her for help.

Mo Wan smiled slightly. "Okay. But I have a request."

Zhan Chengfeng remained silent. "Tell me about it."

"I want to attend Mr. Xu's funeral."

"--reason?"

Mo Wan thought about it seriously. "It's my regret that I couldn't save him."

It is not only a regret for not being able to save him, but also a mourning for the other 152 people.

But she didn't know those people at all, so she let Xu Zhenghui take her place.

Zhan Chengfeng looked at the girl who wanted to attend the funeral for some reason. Then he looked at the time and said, "I'll take you home."

Mo Wan thought about it and stood up by holding the armrest of the chair.

She walked out of the office and, under the gaze of the soldiers, left the Fourteenth Branch in a swagger, as if Zhan Chengfeng was still her bodyguard.

Liang Chengjian saw that the officer didn't beat her up or scold her, but escorted her out instead. He couldn't understand what kind of magic this kid had.

Bai Yu leaned back in his chair leisurely and said with a smile, "I accept the loss. I'll leave my meals to you for the next month."

Liang Chengjian, Zhang Yanpo and others scratched their heads and faces, looking constipated.

-

There have been some big things happening in Phnom Penh recently.

Incidents of some criminal organizations being killed or arrested frequently appear in the news, making countless people applaud.

Mo Wan ate the unskilled meal in the cafeteria and watched the arrest scenes surrounded by special police on TV, without any emotion in his heart.

The three fat guys are just taking the blame, the real planner is someone else.

What was Xu Zhenghui trying to report to China? Could he have caused such a big stir and even wanted to silence him?

But no matter who is the manipulator behind the scenes, Zhan Chengfeng and the local police did this, not only destroying several of that person's profitable businesses, but also giving some explanation to the public.

Mo Wan drank a mouthful of the soup which was almost like the water used to wash the pot, looked at his excited classmates, spat out the bone residue in his mouth, and stood up to leave.

The fat man was arrested and his hideout was destroyed. It's time to reshuffle.

Mo Wan left the school and got into the van parked at the door.
