Reborn Villain's Creed

Chapter 5 A Greater Disaster

When Mo Wan returned to her shabby new home, her new parents pulled her aside and told her to eat quickly, without asking her what happened to her injuries.

It was probably when they were in the hospital that Zhan Chengfeng called them.

Mo Wan looked at the enthusiastic elders and the few ordinary but still her favorite dishes on the table. After the incident at home, she once again felt the pure warmth.

I have to say that Zhan Chengfeng was very attentive in choosing a new home for her.

This time, Mo Wan didn't throw a tantrum and refuse to eat because he was facing the new environment alone.

Seeing that she was willing to eat, Mo Hongwei and Zhang Yumei immediately and attentively served her some food and asked her what other dishes she liked.

Mo Wan didn't answer, but the overall atmosphere was pretty good.

But there are some spoilers.

"Brother, sister-in-law, are you eating?"

The four people didn't even knock on the door. They just came in and greeted with a smile, but their eyes were all on the girl who was in the room.

They are Mo Hongwei's younger brother, sister-in-law, and their two children.

Mo Hongwei and Zhang Yumei stood up to entertain them, served tea and water, and asked them if they had eaten and whether they wanted to eat together.

Mo Hongshou's wife said with a forced smile, "Sister-in-law, we won't eat. We came here to see the new member."

Her sarcastic words made people feel uncomfortable.

Mo Hongshou was also puzzled. "Brother, why are you thinking of adopting a child? Didn't we agree that your nephews and nieces would be there to see you off to the grave?"

Zhang Yumei understood the implicit meaning of these words and her face turned unhappy.

Mo Hongwei was an honest man, and since he was his own brother, he smiled and explained, "When the opportunity arose, we thought of adopting one. You know, this has always been a concern for your sister-in-law and me."

Mo Hongshou's wife asked, "Have you completed the formalities?"

Zhang Yumei rushed ahead of her husband. "It's already done," she said, boasting a bit. "Look, sister-in-law, Wanwan is so wonderful! We went through so many rounds of screening before we were qualified to adopt her. So we took two days off to get everything done right away."

Hearing this, Mo Hongshou also became anxious. "Such a big thing, why didn't you tell us?"

Mo Hongwei finally understood what was going on. "Haven't you always supported us in adopting a child?"

Mo Hongshou stammered, "Yes, I support it, but you didn't discuss it with us in advance, and there were no additional agreements. Doesn't that mean that this house will be given to her, an outsider, in the future?"

This house is the reason why they are so eager to move in.

Zhang Yumei's face darkened as she handed her daughter the bag of medicine she had brought back. She said softly, "Go back to your room first. Take the medicine and get some rest."

Mo went back to his room without eating dinner that night, so he didn't know what was going on.

She saw Mo Hongwei and Zhang Yumei, who were a little angry, and the family who were still thinking about the house before they died.

Mo Wan didn't say anything. She took the medicine and said, "Okay, Mom."

After saying that, he went upstairs.

When Zhang Yumei heard the word "Mom", her back straightened instantly, as if she had turned into a mother wolf protecting her cubs.

Mo Wan listened to the quarrel downstairs and thought that Zhan Chengfeng had not done enough homework.

Or maybe he thinks he can solve these troubles?

Mo Wan threw the medicine on the table, turned on the computer, and wanted to log into the gray net to see how his fishing was going, when he saw the headline news of the plane explosion.

The news happened just half an hour ago at Phnom Penh International Airport!

Mo Wan had a bad feeling and quickly clicked in to browse the information and casualties.

The plane exploded shortly after takeoff.

The good thing is that it fell in a non-residential area.

The bad thing is that none of the 153 passengers and crew on board survived.

When Mo Wan saw the three words "Xu Zhenghui" on the death list, a chill rushed to his heart and he couldn't help but tremble all over.

What she was afraid of was not Xu Zhenghui's death, but the more than one hundred people who could have survived.

Mo Wan is not a good person. In fact, the business she does may have killed many more people than this.

But she still couldn't remain calm when so many innocent people died because of her words.

Mo Wan restrained the idea of looking for Zhan Chengfeng and the impulse to find the murderer behind the incident.

Xu Zhenghui is dead, and the saddest people are Zhan Chengfeng and others. There is no point in asking about it at this time.

As for finding the murderer, there are the police and the 14th Division. If she gets involved, it may only make things worse.

Mo Wan clenched his fists, thought for a long time, and convinced himself not to meddle in other people's business.

But this kind of guilt cannot be let go by just not thinking about it, or just pretending that nothing happened.

At this moment, Mo Wan realized something ridiculously, that is, she actually still had a conscience.

Mo Wan laughed at himself and lost interest in surfing the Internet.

She turned off the computer and Zhang Yumei knocked on the door and came in.

Zhang Yumei, with a kind face, handed her the phone with a smile. "It's Mr. Zhan calling. He said he has something to tell you."

Zhang Yumei gave her the phone and considerately closed the door when she left.

Mo Wan hesitated for a moment, then put the phone to his ear. "I'm listening."

When Zhan Chengfeng heard her cold and arrogant words, he knew that she had seen the news.

With her personality, she was too lazy to pay attention to him after they parted on bad terms, let alone take the initiative to speak.

Zhan Chengfeng was silent for half a second before saying, "The people who planted the bombs are responsible for these 153 people. We will do everything we can to catch them."

What I mean is, this matter has nothing to do with you.

Mo Wan lowered the curtains, poked the disinfectant with a cotton swab, and said nothing.

Zhan Chengfeng couldn't wait for her response and said, "I'll let Uncle Zhong come find you."

"No need." Mo Wan didn't even blink, and cleaned the wound with disinfectant with one hand. "Do you have any clues?"

Things like clues are confidential.

Zhan Chengfeng said directly, "We've found the person who planted the bomb, and we're investigating further." He then said, "The college entrance exam is coming up soon, so focus on your studies."

This is because he doesn't want her to interfere or ask questions.

Mo Wan curled her lips. "I understand."

After that, he hung up the phone directly.

Zhan Chengfeng was not surprised by calls being hung up.

He looked back at the airport surveillance on the wall and said to Liang Chengjian, "Are you sure?"

Liang Chengjian magnified the details. "I'm not entirely sure, but he's the most likely suspect."

"Do you have the information?"

The tall soldier Zhang Yanpo gave him the freshly printed information.

Zhan Chengfeng glanced at the information and said, "Catch this guy before the local police do."

"Yes!"

Several soldiers agreed and took action without delay.

After they left, Zhan Chengfeng went to the boss's room and looked at the battle strategy map on the whiteboard which had not been erased yet.

A strategic map of how rescues are conducted on the high seas.

The boss's purpose of returning to the country this time was to personally report the progress of L-1 to his superiors and hand over the remaining medicine.

Only the boss and he knew about this matter. Who leaked the news?

Zhan Chengfeng looked at the eye-catching L-1 symbol in the upper left corner and knew that this plane bombing was not that simple.
