The Great Doctor Girl

Chapter 21: A Heart Fragrance, Love for You

Time passes quietly and days go by like water.

On the tenth day of the Lunar New Year, Zhen Lingyue, the leader of the Canglan Lingmai Health and Recreation Project Team, found me.

We agreed to meet at a tea space called Zhiyue Dian Tea Forest Oxygen Bar.

As soon as I stepped into the store, I saw a proprietress with long hair that reached her waist. She was wearing new Chinese-style clothes made of silk and satin. She had an elegant and outstanding temperament, which made people unable to help but take a few more glances at her.

In the secluded private room, Zhen Lingyue's face was solemn as he spoke slowly, "Doctor Luo, the 749th Bureau's investigation has concluded. The Bureau has ultimately decided to demolish the villa involved in the 72-nail wind and thunder formation within the project, at all costs, and remove the concrete and steel pillars buried deep underground. This is a massive and arduous undertaking."

"This is the only solution we have no other choice. It's time for me to retire from this matter." I responded with the same serious expression.

"No, we still need your professional guidance during the demolition process." Team leader Zhen looked at me firmly.

I responded without hesitation: "No problem, I'm always happy to cooperate."

"What about Huang Junze's project?" I asked immediately.

Zhen Lingyue replied: "Huang Junze's project was only adjacent to the project and was not affected by the demolition. On the contrary, it was because of him that this serious problem was uncovered, and he was even praised by his superiors."

Hearing this, the weight of my heart finally settled. Thinking of Huang Junze, an inexplicable warmth welled up inside me. Perhaps, my heart had already been given to him!

As time goes by, the relationship between me and Huang Junze, like a beautiful flower in spring, blooms more and more brilliantly and becomes closer without us noticing.

It was a sunny day, and the breeze blew gently, bringing with it a hint of warmth.

After get off work, Junze and I strolled side by side through the bustling commercial streets. The shops lining the streets were colorfully decorated and bustling with activity. As we passed a jewelry store, an exquisite necklace in the window instantly caught my eye.

I stared at the necklace, my heart awash with mixed emotions: a fondness for it, yet also a sense of loss that I couldn't possess it. Just then, Junze's magnetic voice brushed past my ears like a spring breeze: "Do you like it?" My heart trembled at the sudden question, and I hurriedly covered it up in panic: "No, I was just looking at it." I tried to force a nonchalant smile, but my eyes unconsciously glanced at the necklace again.

"I've never had a necklace of my own in my entire life."

Unexpectedly, the next day, as night fell and the candlelight flickered, Junze appeared in front of me holding an exquisite gift box.

"Luo Shu, this is for you." His voice was still as calm as water, but the look in his eyes when he looked at me was filled with affection as gentle as the warm spring sun, as well as some complex emotions that were difficult for me to grasp.

With a heart full of surprise and emotion, I carefully opened the gift box. The necklace that had once haunted my dreams lay quietly inside, emitting a charming glow.

I carefully took it out, and Junze gently helped me put it on my neck. At that moment, it seemed as if the whole world became dazzling because of it.

The joy in my heart surged like a surging tide. I could no longer suppress the surging emotions in my heart and suddenly hugged him tightly. His body stiffened slightly at first, as if he was a little surprised by my sudden enthusiasm, but soon he relaxed, his strong arms gently wrapped around me, and he gently patted my back.

In his warm embrace, I could clearly feel his strong heartbeat, and the little voice in my heart cheered happily.

"He must be in love with me, otherwise why would he give you such a precious gift?"

"Yes, but has the knot in his heart really been completely untied? Could this just be an impulsive act on his part?"

I knew full well that his feelings for me were quietly changing, like a long-dormant seed beginning to sprout green leaves under the gentle breeze of spring. But I still felt a tinge of uncertainty.

The days flow by peacefully and leisurely like a gurgling stream. However, beneath this seemingly calm surface, there is actually an undercurrent of emotions that is constantly surging.

Time passed, and the weather in Ancheng grew warmer. One day, the sun was shining brightly, and the breeze was gentle. I sat in the clinic, gazing out the window at the pleasant scenery, and my mind couldn't help but think of Junze again. Just then, a patient walked in, interrupting my thoughts.

I greeted the patients with a smile and started a busy day. However, in the intervals between busy days, Junze's figure always appeared in my mind from time to time.

As the days went by, my relationship with Junze continued to grow stronger. We spent many wonderful and unforgettable times together, and every warm moment has become an invaluable memory in my heart.

The following weekend, I decided to give Junze a surprise. I woke up early and carefully prepared a thoughtful gift. Then, I arrived at Junze's house and rang the doorbell differently than usual.

The door opened, and Junze saw me with a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Why are you here?" he asked.

I smiled and handed him the gift, "It's for you."

Junze took the gift and opened it. It was an exquisite handmade sachet. It was embroidered with a lifelike herb pattern and exuded a faint fragrance.

His eyes were full of surprise, "Did you make this yourself?"

"Yeah, that's right." I replied with a smile.

Junze took the sachet, sniffed it gently, and said, "Why did you think of giving me this?"

I looked at him and said gently, "Although your headache is gone now, this can help with your immediate needs. Keep it with you just in case. I thought of making a sachet for you. It contains some herbs that can help relieve stress and refresh the mind. I hope it will be of some help to you."

Junze's eyes were filled with emotion, "Thank you."

We sat on the sofa and chatted happily. Junze shared his recent work and life with me, and his eyes sparkled with confidence when he mentioned some of the minor setbacks and gains in recent projects.

I also told him about the final decision of the Canglan Lingmai Nursing and Recreation Task Force.

I said, "Fortunately, it didn't affect your project."

Junze responded: "I'm really lucky. I was worried about being affected before."

During this heartwarming exchange, our feelings grew deeper, as if the air around us was filled with warmth and sweetness.

However, just as we were immersed in the happy atmosphere, Junze's cell phone suddenly rang. He answered the call and his face instantly became serious.

After hastily hanging up the phone, he looked at me with a hint of apology in his eyes. "Luo Shu, I'm sorry, I can't accompany you anymore," he said.

I smiled understandingly, "It's okay, it must be something urgent. You go ahead, I have to hurry back to the medical office."

Junze left in a hurry, and I was filled with worry. I didn't know how his emergency work would progress, nor did I know when he would return.

After spending so much time together, aside from the issue of fate, I've grown to like him more and more. He's a handsome man, tall and handsome, and so young and promising. Who wouldn't be attracted to him?

His face, as cold as an ice sculpture, no longer seemed to be a flaw.

"Luo Shu, I'm back." Just as I was lost in thought, his voice rang out at the door of my medical room.

I looked up at the sound, stood up excitedly, and hugged him tightly. "You're finally back. I've been worried about you." I said, with a hint of subtle nervousness in my voice.

Junze patted my back gently and said softly, "It's okay, I'm back, everything is resolved."

At that moment, I deeply felt his love and warmth.
