Legend of Mir 2: Seeking the Truth in Marfa
Chapter 238 Fire Dragon Commander
Brooke appeared in an unfamiliar area and immediately surveyed his surroundings with caution. This was a jungle, and there were no demonic beasts around. He opened his compass and saw that he was in the southeastern corner of the Dragon Empire, within the territory of the Ancient Ruler.
Reassured, Brook opened his backpack and examined the spoils the Ancient Dryad had dropped: a copy of "Ice Roar," a Fire Dragon Sword, and the soul material "Demon Dragon Dryad Branches and Leaves." Excellent, all items Brook could use, especially the Fire Dragon Sword, with a high Dao Power of 1-1, far surpassing Xuantian's Dao Power of 17-41. It was a shame it only had to be equipped after one transformation, which was quite tempting.
After putting away the Fire Dragon Sword, Brook did not rush to look for the Ancient Commander, but walked towards the edge of the barrier that sealed the Ancient Commander.
The barrier has no effect on monks, who can enter and exit freely; the barrier only seals away demonic beasts. The last few times, they had hurried in and out. Now that he had time, Brooke decided to take a closer look.
Congeal!
Brook concentrated his magic power into his eyes, and the edge of the barrier was just ahead.
The entire barrier covers an area of approximately 1000 to 2000 yards, like a giant bowl, upside down on the jungle, sealing the ancient monsters inside.
The barrier wasn't a thin layer, but rather roughly two yards thick. A closer inspection revealed a constant flow of lightning, flames, and sword energy within. It was conceivable that if a demonic beast touched the barrier, it would immediately trigger an attack from within. Brick speculated that the human monk was unharmed because the powerful monk who created the barrier used a peaceful attack mode when deploying the lightning and fire magic, thus preventing harm.
He wondered how powerful the cultivator who had set up this barrier was, to actually be able to set up such a massive sealing barrier. The art of sealing was something Brook yearned for.
Brook observed the surrounding terrain again. They were already at the edge of the woods, with a hilly stone wall in front of them and could not go any further.
Let’s go look for that ancient leader now. Maybe he hasn’t been killed yet after he appeared.
Brook searched the woods, using his teleportation ring to quickly move around. After more than 10 minutes, he searched the entire barrier area but couldn't find the Ancient Commander. It seemed the Commander hadn't been spawned yet, so he had to give up.
Brook followed the map and went to look for nearby ancient warriors, ancient generals, ancient war gods and other monsters. It didn't matter, as it took another half an hour.
This is not a solution. Without accurate intelligence, finding an ancient demon beast is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Brooke suddenly understood why so many monks were sitting around in the square. It wasn't that they were lazy, but rather that they had completed their missions and killed several familiar leaders. They would rather rest and wait for the respawn than run around like headless flies.
The Detection Necklace currently only detects the Stone Tomb Corpse King. It hasn't absorbed any other souls, so it can't be used to detect other monsters. Although Brook still has three soul materials in his inventory, he hasn't fed the "Demon Dragon Dryad Branches" or "Fire Dragon Lord Fangs" to the Detection Necklace.
It wasn't that Brook was stingy, but the three materials in his backpack all happened to be bloodthirsty soul materials. You know, five bloodthirsty souls can produce soul resonance, and with the Dragon Lord material already injected, only one more material is needed to resonate and increase health by 3 points.
So Brook was still a little hesitant: should he let the detection necklace absorb it, or wait a little longer, and go to the Soul Hall when he gets one more to improve his health attributes.
Brooke thought for a moment before finally taking out the "Fire Dragon Commander's Fang" and feeding it to the detection necklace. As for soul material, the worst he could do was visit the auction house a few more times, or go to the Novice Underground Palace at night when there were fewer people around and kill a few more common monster bosses. He should be able to dig up one or two.
As for why I fed the Fire Dragon Commander the materials instead of the Demonic Dragon Dryad, the reason was simple: the Dryad was immobile, and even if I found it, I couldn't pull it away, and it would likely be snatched away by someone else. A unique situation like the one just mentioned, where the fisherman profited from the conflict, is unlikely to occur again.
@serchingFire Dragon Commander
The detection necklace replied: "The Fire Dragon Commander is now in the Dragon Slayer Hall 2180:2156".
Sure enough, I found it! But where is the Dragon Slaying Hall? Brook was confused again.
Brook flew back to the Dragon Empire and randomly found a monk in the square and asked.
"Brother, where is the Dragon Slaying Hall?"
"Dragon Slaying Hall? Hmm, I seem to have seen this name somewhere, but I can't remember it for the moment." The man was also a little confused.
"Isn't it just the 10th floor of the illusion? The 10th floor is the Dragon Slaying Hall!" someone next to him reminded.
"Oh~ yes, I remember now, it's the 10th floor of the illusion. You too, young man, why don't you just say the 10th floor of the illusion, why don't you talk about the Dragon Slaying Hall..." the man complained to Brook.
"Yes, yes, next time I will say it is the 10th floor of the illusion. Thank you, brothers." After Brook said that, he immediately ran towards the teleporter.
Brook comes to Maya City and finds the illusion messenger.
"You have 37 minutes left in the illusion."
"I want to buy 2 hours of illusion time using gold ingots." Brooke directly paid 2 gold ingots and then teleported into the first level of the illusion.
Brook used the teleportation ring to move quickly through the illusion map. He had been to the first six levels and was very familiar with them, speeding all the way.
The 7th floor is the Zuma 5th floor map, which is full of Zuma series monsters. It is said that the leader of the monsters is the Rainbow Demon Lord, who can drop skill books.
The 8th floor is a map of the Demon Sealing Hall, but the monsters inside are all Bull Demon Generals, Bull Demon Priests and other monsters. It is speculated that the leader of the monsters here is the Bull Demon King.
There were a lot of people leveling up here, some at the first level, some at the second level, and some wearing light golden armor. Brook had seen this kind of equipment before, it was the third level Taurus equipment; he even saw a few cultivators wearing the same silver-white robes as Wenren Muyun, probably cultivators at the fourth level or above.
Brook paused to observe from a distance, noting that the elite Bull Demon Generals and priests were particularly prone to dropping Powerful Sun Water. These high-ranking monks, while scooping up every last drop of Powerful Sun Water, passed on other items. It turned out they were leveling up while also taking advantage of the opportunity to acquire Instant Recovery Potions.
At the auction house, Brook had seen someone selling Powerful Sun Water and Eternal Snow Frost. It seemed that these two instant recovery potions were the only ones available in the Dragon Empire. After looking for a while, he found nothing special, so he moved on to the next floor.
The 9th level is the Crimson Moon Canyon map, filled with Crimson Moon monsters, with the leader likely being the Crimson Moon Demon. This level is quite large, and there might be other bosses.
Finally, I reached the 10th floor, and the name of the map after entering was indeed called Dragon Slaying Hall. The Dragon Slaying Hall map is huge and the terrain is complex, just like the maze on the 3rd floor of the Bull Demon Temple. If you don’t have a compass or map to guide you, it’s easy to get lost.
There were quite a lot of people leveling up on the first few floors, but very few people were leveling up on floor 10. Occasionally, there would be some people doing experience quests, but they would leave immediately after killing 20 monsters.
The reason why monks don't want to level up here is simple: the monsters here are all dragons, and their health is too high. Any small monster has 2000 health, or an elite monster has 6000 health, and the experience value is average. The cost-effectiveness is too low, so they would rather go to the 8th or 9th floor.
There are indeed few people coming here to level up, but there are also people who come here with other purposes, like Brook.
Three monks appeared at the entrance of the Dragon Slaying Hall. They ignored the dragon monsters in front of them and flew away randomly. It was obvious that these people were not leveling or completing experience quests, but were heading for the monster leader.
Brook used his detection necklace to check the Fire Dragon Commander's location again and discovered that it had changed significantly since the first time he checked. Looking at the map, he saw that it had previously been in a large room in the southern part of the map, but now it had entered a connecting passage in the northern part.
Brooke didn't act rashly, waiting quietly for half a minute. Then he checked again and found that the Fire Dragon Commander's coordinates had moved a few dozen yards further north. Clearly, someone was attracting the monsters.
@move 720 1520
Brook flew to the northern part of the Dragon Slaying Hall, which was at the corner of a long corridor. He quietly stuck his head out and saw a Taoist priest running towards him, followed by the Fire Dragon Commander.
The Fire Dragon Commander was given a mental revelation, and there was a blood bar above his head. The total blood volume was 26, and now there was 7.
The Taoist priest who lured the monster was named Julien. He was very powerful and surrounded by energy. Brooke could not see through his equipment and could only judge from the blue-white robe he was wearing that this person should be a second-level monk.
I saw him running quickly while looking back to administer poison, looking very anxious.
Further behind him, the sounds of spellcasting and fighting could be heard faintly, with flashes of lightning and sparks everywhere, as if a fierce battle was about to break out.
