Saint Seiya Evil Skull

Chapter 134 Balder and the World Tree

Solutions are always conceived by humans, and today's Albelisi is even more extraordinary. He is no longer just an ordinary person, but a being that has ascended to the realm of the gods. With such extraordinary abilities, he can naturally achieve things far beyond the imagination of ordinary people.

Since the direct method of removing the curse didn't work at first, why not try reverse thinking? If Balder was given sufficient vitality first, or even supplemented with the missing parts, thus repairing his wounded and battered body, wouldn't it be safer and more reliable to remove the terrible curse after his physical condition improved?

With this clear plan in mind, Albelisi unhesitatingly infiltrated the mysterious Asgard with Balder. That day, the officer stationed at Asgard was none other than Drew of the Serpent. As he spotted the two men approaching, his gaze, previously dull with boredom, suddenly lit up. He hurried forward, quickly greeting them. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Drew learned they had come to Asgard to handle an important matter.

So, this rather sensible fellow tactfully said goodbye to them and turned back to his patrol duties. Apparently, this rough fellow had made a lot of progress over the years, at least his eyesight had improved a lot.

After saying goodbye to Du Lu, Alberich brought Balder to the underground entrance of Asgard. After the two entered, Alberich grabbed Balder and teleported to the barrier of the World Tree.

The first time Balder saw such a huge World Tree, he was shocked. Then he understood why Hilda and Albelis were reluctant to move back to Asgard. It turned out that there was such a big guy hidden under Asgard. After finding out the reason why Hilda and others moved out of Asgard, Balder also expressed his understanding. After all, who can sleep well with such a big bomb right under his butt?

Albelici carefully led Balder through the mysterious barrier and finally arrived before the legendary World Tree. The ancient, massive tree trembled slightly, as if awakened from a deep slumber. In the past, whenever Albelici came here, he was always furtive and apprehensive, even afraid to unleash his powerful Cosmic Power, fearing he would accidentally anger the capricious World Tree.

However, this time, he acted out of character. Not only did he teleport here, causing spatial fluctuations, he also displayed his strength without any concealment and walked into this forbidden area with a swagger.

At the same time, Balder, who came here with Albelis, couldn't help but feel awe in his heart when he saw the huge world tree in front of him for the first time.

Instinctively reacting to the threat of an unknown danger, he subconsciously expanded his Cosmo, attempting to strengthen his defenses. Perhaps it was precisely because they both recklessly released their Cosmo energy that they successfully attracted the World Tree's attention. After all, for a divine tree with such powerful perception, it was merely dormant, not dead. If it hadn't noticed the commotion outside, it wouldn't have grown to its current state.

Furthermore, there's another crucial point worth mentioning: before this, the World Tree had been drained of its vitality multiple times by Alberich. If it were only one or two such drains, it might not have been fatal. However, if it continued to be drained so frequently over a long period of time, it would undoubtedly be a heavy, unbearable blow to the World Tree.

Worse still, for so many years, it had been trapped within a powerful underground barrier, surrounded by a harsh environment, unable to obtain sufficient nutrients and nourishment. Because of this, the World Tree, having weathered the vicissitudes of time, is now in a state drastically different from its former glory. It has long since lost its former glory and is becoming increasingly weak.

Back then, when Alberich faced the behemoth World Tree, he still felt a bit apprehensive. However, things were different now. After successfully breaking through his own bottleneck, his strength had greatly increased, and he no longer took the World Tree seriously.

Facing the newly awakened World Tree, Alberich raised a hand, extended a finger, and pointed in the direction of the World Tree. Instantly, a terrifying energy burst out from his fingertips like lightning, striking the massive body of the World Tree with lightning speed.

A resounding "boom" echoed as this immensely powerful energy instantly pierced the thick trunk of the World Tree. Immediately afterwards, a shocking scene unfolded—a fountain of blood suddenly gushed out from the World Tree's trunk, the crimson liquid splattering everywhere, staining the surrounding ground a blood-red. Simultaneously, the severely damaged World Tree began to shake violently, as if it would collapse at any moment.

Arubelisi's eyes widened in anger, and he immediately erupted in a deafening roar: "Stop immediately! If you continue to be so agitated and reckless, don't blame me for being ruthless. I will uproot you and eradicate you completely!"

As expected, the World Tree, now sentient, immediately stopped shaking upon hearing Alberich's threatening words. After all, the World Tree knew full well that the powerful being before it was telling the truth, and it feared Alberich would take further action to harm it, or, as he had threatened, mercilessly wipe it from this land.

Seeing the World Tree calm down, Alberich turned to face it and Balder and said, "I say, the World Tree will grant Balder life!" Before he finished speaking, tiny dots of emerald green light emanated from the World Tree. Like a spirit, these lights slowly converged into a green torrent, flowing towards Balder. As Balder came into contact with this pure life force, he cried out in pleasure.

Time slipped quietly by, and the rate at which Balder absorbed the World Tree's vitality gradually slowed. Seeing this, Alberich, standing nearby, knew the transfer of vitality was nearing its end. With a casual wave of his hand, the flow of vitality between the World Tree and Balder abruptly ceased.

At the same time, Albelisi's eyes were tightly closed, his expression solemn. He began to fully mobilize his inner cosmos, continuously channeling it into his fingertips. As the energy of his inner cosmos continued to accumulate, Albelisi's fingers radiated a dazzling light, as if imbued with endless power.

Then, with lightning speed, Albelisi rapidly tapped Balder's body. Each tap landed precisely on the nodes of the cursed shackles within Balder's body. Under the powerful impact of this microcosmic force, the cursed power that had once tightly bound Balder began to loosen and disintegrate.

Finally, through Alberich's tireless efforts, the curse within Balder was successfully lifted. However, despite having previously absorbed a significant amount of the World Tree's vitality, the moment the curse was lifted, an unbearable wave of weakness washed over him. Instantly, Balder's legs gave way, and he collapsed to the ground.

Time passed minute by minute, and Balder lay quietly on the ground, his face as pale as paper, and his breathing became very weak. After a long time, he slowly opened his eyes, struggled to support his body, and barely sat up.

Upon seeing this, Alberich hurried forward, carefully sensing the changes within Balder's body. After some investigation, he was surprised to discover that, due to the effects of the curse, Balder's strength had significantly decreased, plummeting from the top of the Seventh Sense Manas to the lower levels. Fortunately, however, he was still within the realm of the Seventh Sense Manas.

Seeing this result, not only did Alberich secretly breathe a sigh of relief, but even Balder himself felt that it was acceptable. After all, compared to completely losing the power of the seventh sense, manas, this degree of weakening was already a blessing in disguise...
