My lady, I'm going to rebel.

Chapter 181: Rescue of Human Trafficking

Life in Qingyan Mountain is moving forward steadily, and in the prosperous city of Chang'an, Han Zi, with a group of capable men, rides on tall horses, the sound of horse hooves making a crisp rhythm on the bluestone road, galloping all the way to a quiet courtyard.

The door of the courtyard was closed. Han Zi dismounted, walked forward and gently knocked on the doorknob.

Soon, the door creaked open, revealing Yunniang's beautiful face. She was stunned at first, but when she saw that it was Han Zi, her eyes flashed with surprise and excitement. She hurriedly asked, "Brother Han, but...but did he ask you to come?"

Han Zi smiled and nodded, saying, "Sister-in-law, it is Brother Mu who is worried about you. Qingyan Mountain is now prosperous, and he hopes that you can come over and reunite with him."

Yunniang's eyes suddenly reddened. Three years had passed since she and Mu Zheng were separated. During these three years, longing for him had grown like a vine, entwining and spreading in her heart. Now, knowing that they would finally have the chance to meet again, she was filled with joy and hurriedly said, "Then I'll pack up and go with you."

Soon, Yunniang packed some clothes and valuables and set off for Qingyan Mountain with Han Zi and his party.

Along the way, the horses' hooves kicked up clouds of dust, but Yunniang's mind was not on this bumpy journey at all. Her heart was filled with anticipation for her reunion with Mu Zheng. However, the further she went, the more heartbreaking the scenery she saw.

Shortly after leaving Chang'an, the figures of impoverished refugees could be seen along the official roads. The elderly, the weak, women, and children supported each other as they moved slowly, their eyes filled with confusion and despair. Their clothes were thin and worn, and they shivered in the still-chilled spring weather.

The children were so hungry that their faces were pale and their bodies were thin, and their cries were weak. The adults could only sigh helplessly, but there was nothing they could do.

Yunniang's eyes welled up as she looked at these poor people. She asked Hanzi to stop his horse several times and distribute the dry food they carried with them to the refugees. The refugees took the dry food, thanked her profusely, and kept repeating words like "good people will be rewarded". Yunniang just shook her head slightly, her heart full of helplessness and sighs about this chaotic world.

When we reached a remote mountain forest path, we could faintly hear crying and scolding.

Yunniang's heart tightened, and she quickly signaled Hanzi to go check. They hurried over and saw a group of burly men surrounding several young girls. The girls were dressed in rags, their faces stained with fear and tears, their hands and feet bound with ropes. They were obviously poor victims of abduction and trafficking.

Seeing this, Han Zi shouted, "You evil people, how dare you do such a heinous thing in broad daylight? Let him go!"

The men were stunned at first, but then they plucked up their courage when they saw that Han Zi and the others were only about ten people. One of them, with a face full of flesh, said with a fierce smile: "Hey, who did I think it was? Mind your own business! We spent a lot of effort to get these girls here. If you know what's good for you, get out of here quickly, or don't blame us for being rude!"

Han Zi snorted coldly, his hand already on the sword at his waist, his eyes filled with anger. Behind him, his men also drew their weapons, some with swords drawn, some with sticks in hand, all with serious expressions, ready for battle. The human traffickers saw that the situation was not good, but still wanted to resist stubbornly, rushing over with their sticks in hand.

Han Zi was the first to draw his sword. The sword flashed a cold light in the sunlight. His body was as fast as lightning, and he stabbed at the man with a face full of flesh who was rushing in the front.

Seeing this, the man hurriedly raised his stick to block. With a crisp clang, the sword and stick collided, sending sparks flying. Han Zi took advantage of the momentum, twisted his wrist, and nimbly swiveld his sword around the stick, slashing towards the man's throat. The man, horrified, quickly stepped back, narrowly avoiding the fatal blow, but also breaking out in a cold sweat.

Han Zi's men weren't idle either, engaging in combat with the other criminals. One nimble one, wielding a long sword, glided through the enemy ranks, his blade wielding with a gleam of light. Each strike was directed precisely at the enemy's vital points. Despite their sheer numbers, the criminals couldn't get close to him. Instead, they were forced back repeatedly by his blows, their bodies bruised and bleeding.

There was also a strong man with great strength, who was swinging the iron stick in his hand with great vigor. Every time he swung it, there was a whistling sound. Any villain who was hit by him was either knocked away for a long distance, or the weapon in his hand was directly knocked off, and he rolled on the ground wailing in pain.

For a moment, the forest path was filled with shouts of killing and the clash of weapons. The kidnappers were a mob, usually bullying the weaker people by relying on their numbers, but they had never seen such a fierce battle. Before long, they were beaten to a pulp, gradually losing the strength to fight back. They dropped their weapons and knelt to beg for mercy.

Han Zi pointed his sword at them and shouted, "I'll spare your lives today, but if you dare to do such unscrupulous things again, I will not let you off lightly!"

Those criminals fled as if they had been pardoned.

Yunniang hurried forward to untie the ropes on the girls, and as she did so she comforted them softly, "Don't be afraid, girls. You are safe now. We are here for you."

The girls threw themselves into Yunniang's arms, bursting into tears as they recounted their tragic experiences. They were all daughters of good families, some coaxed out, others abducted. They had lived in fear along the way, and had endured beatings, abuse, and humiliation from these villains. If they hadn't met Yunniang and the others today, they didn't know what kind of misfortune would have befallen them.

Yunniang stroked their hair lovingly and said, "Don't cry, girls. Now that you've met me, I won't let you suffer any more. I'm going to Qingyan Mountain, it's a beautiful place. Come with me and make it your home."

After hearing this, the girls stopped crying, their eyes filled with gratitude, and they kowtowed to Yunniang repeatedly to express their gratitude. Han Zi, watching from the side, couldn't help but admire Yunniang's kindness and said, "Sister-in-law, you are so kind. But with so many more people here, I'm afraid the journey will be slower, and we need to make more preparations."

Yunniang nodded and said, "It's okay. Saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda. We can just walk slowly, but we can't abandon them."
