The island they were on was about 70 to 80 meters from the shore. According to Yan Ruchen's instructions, they needed to swim quietly over there, trying not to attract the attention of the turtles on the shore. Once they reached the shore, they had to immediately adjust their posture and engage in battle.

Compared with the others, Guan Shanyu lacked practical experience, was unsure, and didn't know what to prepare. He had no choice but to tie up his bag tightly and tuck the suona into his waist. Then he had nothing to do and just stood aside waiting for them to pack up.

Yan Ruchen only had a sword with him, and with nothing else to pack, he stood aside, watching the other disciples tying ropes and packing up their weapons. After a while, he headed to the shore alone to observe the movements of the ghostly creatures lurking in the water. As he was carefully observing, he suddenly caught a glimpse of someone poking their head towards him.

He looked back and saw that it was indeed Guan Shanyu standing beside him. Guan Shanyu smiled embarrassedly when he was discovered and took a small step back. Yan Ruchen noticed the suona on Guan Shanyu's waist and whispered, "If you put the suona on your waist, it will easily fall off when you swim in the water, and it will be hard to find it if it sinks."

Guan Shanyu was stunned for a moment when he saw him reminding him. Then he pulled out a very thin red string from his collar and explained quickly: "I know, I tied it with a thin rope. There will be no problem later. Don't worry."

Only then did Yan Ruchen notice that the suona's mouth was cleverly tied with a red string, and the owner of the string even raised a hand to show him his ingenuity. Yan Ruchen turned his head away, his lips twitching slightly, but he said nothing. Turning back, he saw the other disciples were already dressed and ready to go. He glanced around, confirmed everything was right, and silently mouthed the command: "Move."

In order not to disturb the turtles sleeping on the shore and the monsters lurking underwater, everyone could only step carefully into the water along the shore and swim slowly when the water was deep enough.

Guan Shanyu followed in the middle, only able to doggy-paddle. He didn't want to make too many waves or make too much noise, so he paddled in the water for a while before quietly poking his head out to breathe. However, his swimming skills were so poor that he choked on water every time he poked his head out, but he couldn't make a sound and could only force himself to hold it in. After swimming more than 20 meters, although nothing at the bottom of the lake had noticed them, Guan Shanyu felt like he was about to drown.

He had been in the middle of the swim, but as he swam, he fell to the back. Gazing at the distance of several dozen meters ahead, he felt a surge of suffocation, and the coughs suppressed by the choking water in his chest threatened to burst his throat. Half dead, he swam slower and slower, lower and lower, almost being completely swallowed by the water.

At this moment, when he was wondering whether he should swim to the surface and quietly remind other disciples to help him, suddenly a force came from his waist, tightly binding him.

Guan Shanyu suddenly opened his eyes in the water, terrified. Thinking the monster underwater had spotted him and was attacking him, he quickly turned around, trying to break free. However, as he turned his head, a figure in white flashed before him. Then, the hands around his waist increased their strength, holding him steady. When he looked closely, he saw that it was indeed Yan Ruchen who had come to rescue him.

Yan Ruchen initially swam in front to lead the way. In order to prevent others from getting into danger in the water, he would look back from time to time to check on the safety of his disciples. The rest of the people were fine, but Guan Shanyu swam slower and slower. At first, you could see him sticking his head out of the water to breathe, but later on, only bubbles were seen on the surface of the water, and he was nowhere to be found.

His face darkened, and he gestured to the other disciples to come ashore first. After they swam away, he dove into the water to see what Guan Shanyu had done. When he swam over, he saw that the man's face was crimson red, and he was holding his breath stubbornly, as if he would rather drown than let those monsters succeed. Yan Ruchen closed his eyes helplessly, tucked him under his arm, and brought him out of the water.

As soon as he emerged from the water, Guan Shanyu couldn't hold his breath any longer, and finally couldn't help gasping for air and coughing. When Yan Ruchen saw him open his mouth, he immediately reached out to cover his mouth. Seeing that Guan Shanyu's face had turned the color of liver again, Yan Ruchen slowly moved a finger away, leaving a gap for him to breathe, and gestured for him to keep quiet.

Guan Shanyu understood and nodded while frowning, breathing carefully in small sips. However, he couldn't help coughing. After taking a few breaths, he wanted to cough out of physiological reaction. Yan Ruchen put out his hand and touched his back, stroking it back to help him breathe. The two stayed in the water for a while before he finally breathed smoothly.

Guan Shanyu survived the ordeal and nodded gratefully to Yan Ruchen. Yan Ruchen watched as his hair, soaked by the water, became tangled in strands, yet he remained completely unaware, soaking in the water in a mess, breathing carefully. Yan Ruchen reluctantly moved his hand, which had been covering his mouth, to his face, casually fiddling with his hair to smooth it out. Seeing that Guan Shanyu was almost exhausted, he remembered that if he hadn't noticed him in time, this guy might have suffocated himself to death in the water.

After thinking about it, Yan Ruchen patted his back again to help him catch his breath. He didn't expect Guan Shanyu to be able to swim the rest of the way, so he made a gesture to silence him, then took Guan Shanyu in his arms and continued to swim towards the shore.

Guan Shanyu was so exhausted just now that his body felt limp and he couldn't use any strength. He looked at Yan Ruchen apologetically and saw that although the other party was swimming seriously, his brows clearly revealed impatience. Guan Shanyu knew that he was probably lagging behind again, so he lowered his head and dared not speak. He touched the suona and bag at his waist and found nothing wrong, so he felt at ease to act as Yan Ruchen's "pendant", hanging limply under the other's elbow, motionless.

The other disciples had already reached the shore safely, but they were all cautious, no one daring to venture out of the water. The turtle, though resting with its eyes closed, remained firmly planted, steady as a rock, as if it could immediately jump into battle the moment it opened its eyes.

Everyone knew that this monster was most likely dozing and could be awakened by the slightest movement, so they just groped in the water for the best landing point and discussed the best escape route.

As Yan Ruchen and the other two swam closer to shore, they slowed down, fearing to alert the beasts at the bottom of the valley. Guan Shanyu looked up, observing the situation at the bottom, trying to determine which rock would be best for chanting the calming mantra. Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat, his intuition telling him something was wrong. He quickly turned around to check. Behind him, everything was calm, nothing unusual. He immediately dipped his head underwater to take a look. Unexpectedly, in that short moment, the monsters beneath the surface had closed in like a tide, the foremost being almost within reach.

Guan Shanyu suddenly surfaced, patted Yan Ruchen on the shoulder, and quickly signaled with his eyes that there was danger underwater. Yan Ruchen understood instantly and, almost without thinking, immediately threw Guan Shanyu onto the rock closest to the shore and shouted to the disciples not far away: "Everyone, get ashore! No need to wait!"

The disciples were agile. At Yan Ruchen's command, they leaped from the lake like arrows, landing safely on the shore. Meanwhile, a spirit turtle, sensing the disturbance, opened its enormous eyes and suddenly turned back toward the lake. Yan Ruchen had already hurled his razor-sharp sword through the air, striking it directly. The spirit turtle reacted with remarkable agility, swiftly turning to avoid the blow. Provoked, it stamped its feet in anger and erupted in a deafening roar.

The roar was incredibly powerful, like an invisible shockwave, sending rocks tumbling down the cliffs. The resulting volume rippled through the water, sending those who had just scrambled ashore tumbling back into the water. The aquatic monsters, now swimming to the surface, were enraged by the sight and attacked, tearing at the hands and feet of the fallen disciples. However, the disciples reacted quickly, drawing their swords and engaging the monsters in the water. For a moment, the surface of the water was ablaze with flashes of sword light, and blood mingled with the spray of waves.

Guan Shanyu was thrown against the rocks, unable to rise for a moment. When the sound wave struck, he merely rolled twice on the ground. He braved the pain and scrambled to his feet, only to find Yan Ruchen, also thrown back and slammed against the cliff face, spitting blood. Anxiously, he realized no monsters had emerged from the valley as before. While the spirit turtle was preoccupied with the fight in the lake, he crawled to the stone table and dragged Guyu, still unconscious, to the side to hide.

But just as Guan Shanyu touched Guyu, the turtle's attention was immediately drawn to him. Seeing someone snatching food from its mouth, it roared angrily and threw Guan Shanyu away again. Then the turtle shook off the gravel on its back and strode towards him.

Guan Shanyu slammed into a rock, feeling dizzy. Seeing the turtle about to crush him, he quickly rolled over to avoid it. From the corner of his eye, he saw chaos in the direction of the cave in the valley, as if something was running out. Thinking it was not good, he quickly untied the red string around his neck and began to play a calming mantra while dodging around in the valley.

Seeing the spirit turtle completely focused on Guan Shanyu, Yan Ruchen took the opportunity to evacuate, pick up his sword, and scurried to the stone bedside to rescue the unconscious Guyu, intending to bring him to safety before dealing with the spirit turtle. However, just as he took two steps, carrying Guyu, he heard deep roars from deep within the cave. He quickly realized that the monsters had been summoned. Although Guan Shanyu's calming spell had indeed slowed their movement, with the spirit turtle still attacking, he feared they were in great danger.

Yan Ruchen thought about it and was about to call Guan Shanyu's attention and ask him to come closer to him when the spirit turtle suddenly raised its leg and kicked Guan Shanyu away.

Guan Shanyu slammed against the wall, spitting blood, but he immediately wiped the blood from his mouth, picked up the suona that had fallen beside him, and continued to play, trying to stabilize the situation. Seeing this, Ling Bie was furious and stomped his feet hard, shaking the ground. Guan Shanyu could no longer hold the suona, but he still managed to play.

Seeing this, Yan Ruchen hurriedly put Guyu down and rushed to Guan Shanyu to help. At this critical moment, the spirit turtle unexpectedly spoke:

"Boy, if you keep blowing it, I'll really get mad!"
